Gigolo Diaries-Chapter 4: Yin Yang Sword.
It didn’t take him long to find it, as he had studied the area beforehand.
Luckily, the doors leading into the quarters weren’t closed, and Eros was able to get in. A few ladies were doing what looked to be routine cleaning, but none of them noticed Eros slip into the living room.
His eyes immediately found what he was looking for. Above the fireplace of the sitting room. A sword was placed on a rack, clearly for display.
He moved slowly towards this sword, trying his best not to attract anyone’s attention.
Although it took a while, he was able to get to the sword unnoticed.
However, the moment he picked it up a scream rang out.
"What’s that, Sheryl, why are you screaming?" Another maid beside her asked.
Sheryl’s teeth clattered as she stammered a few words out. "Tha—that sword, it’s floating." She said, pointing at the sword.
’Shoot.’
The other girls looked in Eros ’ direction and screamed too.
Their voices had attracted the nearby soldiers and Eros could already hear their approaching footsteps.
Left with no other choice, he turned towards the large window in the sitting area and ran towards it. Using his entire body weight, he broke through the window gritting his teeth as his body hit the ground.
Still, he couldn’t afford to delay, so he stood up, with a sharp pain coursing through his veins, and ran over the fence and into the woods.
Fester arrived a few minutes later and seeing the broken window, he couldn’t help but curse. If he had been a few seconds earlier they could’ve found the intruder.
But that wasn’t the main problem now. The main problem was how he was going to tell The Count that the Lady was unconscious.

As per tradition, the horns of arrival were blown at the gates when he got back and Earl Vontera couldn’t help but smile.
He had built the Vontera name by himself and now he could consider himself a true noble who had started as a mere commoner. However, that wasn’t the end; his goal was to become royalty, and the plans were already in motion.
Then out of nowhere, he heard the sound of a blast. Even with the distance he could tell it was a sound bomb and he couldn’t help but frown.
When he got down from the carriage, a few maids came to meet him.
"What’s happening?"
He asked, squinting his eyes.
"My Lordship, there was an intruder."
Her words made his brow crease as multiple thoughts formed in his mind.
"Was anyone hurt?"
Hearing his question the maid hesitated for a second.
"Was anyone hurt?"
Earl repeated himself, but this time with a bone-shivering authority, causing the maid to jerk back.
"S—sir, Lady Perlly was found unconscious in her room."
Earl’s frown deepened, he cared little for the Shevon family’s daughter, but it would do his reputation no good if others found out that his wife had been attacked while he was away.
"Lock down the villa,"
His words were directed at the bulky man standing beside him. The man, wearing black overall nodded and moved away.
The villa was soon locked down as Earl moved into the building.
He arrived at his quarters where he found Fester.
Immediately Fester saw him, he bowed his head and just as he began apologising, Earl motioned for him to be silent.
He looked around, his gaze pausing on the broken glass, before observing the entire area.
"What was taken?"
"Only the yin and Yang sword you keep on display."
Hearing his words, he couldn’t help but raise a brow. There were a lot of things worth more than that sword since nobody could use it. It wouldn’t make sense to take only that.
"Only that?"
Fester hesitated for a moment then nodded. "As far as I can tell."
"Do you have an idea of the culprit?"
Fester’s mind immediately went back to the plumber. He frowned for a moment before replying. "I think I might have an idea."

The city of Envadia was large, and in a particular middle-class district, Eros walked down the cobblestone road with the heavy sword tightly tucked into his clothes.
He walked into a small building and the smell of chemicals hit him immediately, but having lived here for the better part of his life, he had gotten used to it. There were multiple talismans stuck to the walls, some of them were dry and old while others looked fresh, still dripping with ink.
"Old Kodu, I’m back."
A wrinkly man with grey hair wheeled himself into the living room in a wheelchair.
"You got the sword?"
The man’s eyes lit up as Eros removed the sword from his robe.
This was Old Man Kodu, ever since his sect, the Yin and Yang sect, was destroyed, Old Man Kodu took him in and treated him like his son. For over seven years, they had been living together.
"Ah boy, I knew you could do it." The old man let out a hearty laugh.
Old man Kodu was a talisman maker and a seer. He had been the one advising Eros throughout his life.
Eros handed the sword to him.
"You should be able to use the sword after you break through, " he said, looking at the sword.
The sword belonged to the Yin and Yang sect and was a replica of a long-lost legendary weapon. The sword couldn’t be used by just anyone. One had to achieve perfection in the first cultivation tier to even stand a chance, that was why he had been stuck in the body refinement tier for so long.
Old man Kodu let out a sigh. "I know I forced you to achieve perfection in this tier, but once you do you’ll discover that the benefits far outweigh the time lost."
Eros knew that much, but it still wasn’t easy watching your mates advance in rank while you were left behind.
"How close are you to your last cleansing?"
Eros thought for a moment then replied. "It should come in a day or two."
The body refinement rank was the first rank of every person who wished to cultivate.
In this rank, a person would expel all impurities in their body at least three times, before they could reach the next rank.
To reach perfection, though, one would have to cleanse oneself ten times, this was too long a process and most people didn’t follow this path. The few who did ended up quitting most of the time.
Eros had cleansed himself a total of nine times; there was no turning back for him at this point.
"Good, since you have the Love god’s bloodline you just might be able to get his attention after you survive the tribulations."
*Knock* *Knock*
Eros’ heart skipped a beat. He wasn’t expecting anyone, and a glance at the old man told him that he wasn’t expecting anyone either. Could it be someone from the Count’s house who had come for him?
