Ghosts Know What I Experienced-Chapter 64.2: Yin-Yang Fengshui Array.
Chapter 64 Part 2
Basking in the warm sun, Xi Jia ruefully sighed, “Senior Cengxiu said before that this place is some kind of land that’s more toward yang affinity?”
Ye Jingzhi patiently explained, “It is a type of structure in Fengshui. Set towards yang, yang energy converges. In fact, every house will choose a spot with yang affinity, sitting in the north and facing south. This will not only help gather yang energy and drive away evil spirits, it’s also good for the body and health.”
Xi Jia deeply understood, “No wonder I feel like the yin energy here seems to be a bit weak. When I jumped into this lake before, I remember that this part of the lake was very cold, and the yin energy was very strong. I read books. Water is yin, and this island’s yin energy is so faint. Seems like the Fengshui is quite good.”
At first when Xi Jia talked about jumping into the lake in the past, Ye Jingzhi’s heart ached as he tightly grasped his hand, wanting to comfort him. But once he heard the phrase, “yin energy is so faint,” he suddenly froze stiffly in his spot.
Xi Jia noticed that Ye Jingzhi was no longer walking, and he looked back at him, “Jingzhi?”
Ye Jingzhi looked up and said, “The yin energy here is very faint?”
Xi Jia didn’t think too much, “It’s probably not that faint, it’s just a bit more faint compared to other places around Jingdu Lake. I have lived around Jingdu Lake for so many years, and the university is also nearby. The yin energy of this lake is pretty strong. Although the lake isn’t very large, the yin energy is really strong. If you have a chance to sense it in the lake, you should understand what I mean.”
Just as Xi Jia finished speaking, Ye Jingzhi suddenly took his hand and rushed to the edge of the island in a single big stride.
Xi Jia looked at Ye Jingzhi in surprise, only to see him move his finger, and a small stream of clear lake water flew out from the lake’s surface and settled into his palm. The ice-cold lake water lay in his warm palm. It barely took a few seconds to feel a chill. It was only the lake water in September, but it was already cold to a bone-seeping chill. Ye Jingzhi carefully looked once more. A trace of imperceptible black yin energy reflected in his eyes.
While taking the speedboat to this island and each time he went to buy groceries by the lake to take back home, Ye Jingzhi never noticed that the yin energy in Jingdu Lake was very strong. Water is Yin, and where there’s a lot of water, the yin energy would always be strong. Reasonably, strong yin energy in Jingdu Lake was inevitable. The richness of the yin energy didn’t exceed what it should be. Merely, it belonged to the heavier side of the appropriate range.
However……
Ye Jingzhi took out his phone and sent a message to Cengxiu-zhenjun.
Xi Jia still didn’t understand what he was doing. But, Ye Jingzhi turned his head to look at him and said seriously, “With the yin energy of this part of the lake, the island’s yin energy shouldn’t be like this. Jia Jia, the Fengshui of this island is not bad, but it’s far from blocking the lake’s yin energy. Qin San Shi had said that this island is very similar to the Palace of Eternal Life. We all thought he meant that its yin energy was strong. According to common sense, its yin energy should clearly be normal, but its yin energy is actually not strong, but instead, the yin energy is too faint.”
Xi Jia somewhat understood Ye Jingzhi’s meaning. Just that, he still didn’t know the critical point within it.
Not long after, Cengxiu-zhenjun hurried over whilst holding his luopan. Ye Jingzhi didn’t talk nonsense and directly talked about the strong yin energy of Jingdu Lake and the faint yin energy of this island. Cengxiu-zhenjun was taken aback, and just like Ye Jingzhi, he immediately summoned a handful of the lake water to observe the yin energy in it.
Ultimately, Cengxiu-zhenjun’s expression was grave, “Not bad, Young Daoist Ye, this island’s yin energy shouldn’t be this light!”
The two Celestial Masters started to investigate Peach Blossom Island’s Fengshui layout. They also gave Zhuzhao-zhenren and the others a message so they could immediately come over. That night, Xi Jia and Ziying returned home. Several Celestial Masters of the Xuanxue world surrounded Peach Blossom Island. The government ordered that Peach Blossom needed to be closed for reconstruction; therefore, no tourists were allowed to go to the island in the short term.
Before, this group of Celestial Masters didn’t take this matter to heart, because in their hearts, two Bodies of Extreme Yin appearing in S City at the same time might truly be a coincidence. Before the accident happened, who knew if Daddy Ling Xiao was in a good mood and allowed two Bodies of Extreme Yin to be born in S City.
However, at the moment, a definite problem appeared before the Masters.
“Why is the yin energy here so weak? Impossible! The lake’s yin energy is a bit more strong, but it’s still within the acceptable range. Why is it precisely this island that has very faint yin energy? This island’s affinity is towards yang, the water dragon flows underground, yin and yang are compatible, and the elements are balanced. This is merely an average Fengshui layout, how can it be abnormal?!”
“This is a provocation to this old man’s authority. Just who is this fellow daoist that had arranged this Fengshui layout?”
“Yeah! Let’s get that fellow daoist to come out, we need to teach them a lesson. Just how could an ordinary Fengshui arrangement become like this?”
After a long time had passed, the government finally found the Celestial Master who helped build Peach Blossom Island several decades ago. Everyone thought it was that senior master, but who would’ve anticipated once they took a look at the name.
Cengxiu-zhenjun, “……Chen Wei? Could it be that this poor daoist is ill-informed and does not know who this fellow daoist is?”
Master Buxing, “Amitabha, this person is very clearly not amongst our Buddhist path.”
The other several Celestial Masters also started to ponder just who this Chen Wei was. After thinking it through, a Celestial Master following behind Zhuzhao-zhenren suddenly exclaimed, “Eh, this poor daoist’s 24th junior martial brother seems to be called this name?”
Everyone uniformly looked in his direction.
Only now did Zhuzhao-zhenren recall, “Right, this old man’s seventh junior brother’s eleventh unofficial disciple seems to be called this.”
Everyone, “……”
It turned out to be a Celestial Master within the disciple’s generation? Although everyone thought it was impossible, the Fengshui layout of Peach Blossom Island was truly very ordinary aside from the weird yin energy.
Cengxiu-zhenjun asked, “Where is this Fellow Daoist Chen currently at?”
How could Zhuzhao-zhenren know something like this? He looked at his disciple, “They’re asking you, where is your Junior Brother Chen?”
The disciple answered with a strange expression, “Junior Brother Chen passed away last year at the age of 82……”
Everyone, “……”
82 years old! In the Xuanxue world, he definitely didn’t count as an elderly person. Unexpectedly passing away at age 82, seems like his cultivation wasn’t really high……
Since the person involved couldn’t be found, everyone could only continue thinking.
The next day, Xi Jia went to the island to see Ye Jingzhi. A group of Celestial Masters with white hair and white beards disorderly wandered around the small island, and in contrast, Ye Jingzhi calmly sat in the pavilion. Ye Jingzhi really wasn’t good at Yin-Yang Eight Trigrams magic, but he had innate Yin-Yang eyes. He could directly see the yin energy. Moreover, it was very precise; therefore, he couldn’t leave.
Xi Jia saw his Master Ye mindlessly sitting at the pavilion all day, only looking at yin energy. Those senior masters really didn’t treat Ye Jingzhi as an outsider. If there was a technique, they would find Ye Jingzhi to test it out, and let Ye Jingzhi see if their Fengshui arrangement was the same as the Peach Blossom Island.
Xi Jia had only stayed on the island for three hours, and seven Celestial Masters came to trouble Ye Jingzhi. Only his Ye Jingzhi would never refuse. He would immediately go over to anyone who needed help. After helping, the senior randomly mumbled, “So there’s actually a problem here too,” and turned around to do more experiments without even a thanks. Ye Jingzhi then obediently returned to the pavilion to calmly sit, waiting to help the next master.
Xi Jia who saw this scene, “……”
Not good, sooner or later, he will make his Master Ye not to be so kind, you have to say thank you at least!
Xi Jia brought some fruits. He originally wanted to give them to Ye Jingzhi to eat, but Ye Jingzhi didn’t eat. So he sat by himself in the pavilion and nibbled on apples and pears, staring at the group of Celestial Masters who would call out “Young Daoist Ye, quickly come here” and “So it’s like this.”
Xi Jia who was increasingly getting more depressed, “……”
It was the first time Xi Jia felt so petty. Anyways, as long as Ye Jingzhi was involved, he would be petty.
When night fell, Ye Jingzhi came back from Master Buxing’s side and saw Xi Jia sitting in the pavilion, eating apples alone, and sulking. He didn’t understand what Xi Jia was angry about. He just thought that Xi Jia was bored here and didn’t want to stay so he said, “Jia Jia, I will go back with you tonight.”
Xi Jia was stunned, “You want to go back? You don’t want to stay here for some time? Isn’t the cause not found yet?”
Ye Jingzhi said, “I want to go see that Canglang Pavilion.”
“Canglang Pavilion?”
Ye Jingzhi nodded, “Yes. There is a pavilion here, and there is also a pavilion there.”
Xi Jia suddenly understood, “You think that there’s something wrong with that pavilion?!”
Ye Jingzhi first shook his head, then nodded, “Maybe. Before when Cengxiu-zhenjun and I went there to see, there wasn’t any problem. But……I feel that there’s something not right. Jia Jia, can you come with me to see it tomorrow?”
Xi Jia naturally agreed.
That night, Brother Jia took his family’s Master Ye away from Peach Blossom Island and merrily went home. Seeing Ye Jingzhi return, Ziying lightly laughed and said, “The island’s aura is similar to the Palace of Eternal Life. Xi Jia, I will go to the island tonight and see,” before leaving the house.
This was giving Brother Jia opportunities!
However, Brother Jia couldn’t grasp this opportunity. He and Ye Jingzhi slept on the same bed, but because they needed to get up early the next day to see Canglang Pavilion, they went to bed early. Before sleeping, Ye Jingzhi lowered his head and kissed his wife’s lips once. It was a simple goodnight kiss. Not long after, the two fell asleep.
Master Ye’s biggest improvement these days was probably being able to kiss without scruple.
As for helping each other, he would still blush and feel embarrassed. However, Master Ye could do something like kissing his wife without a change in appearance and with confidence——
This is my wife! Wife allows me to kiss! If I want to kiss, then I’ll kiss!
Early the next morning, Xi Jia and Ye Jingzhi left for Canglang Pavilion. They parked their car, walked into the alleys of the ancient district, and bought the tickets to the park. Xi Jia hadn’t been here for more than ten years so he was a bit unfamiliar with this place. Ye Jingzhi had just been here, and he took Xi Jia straight to Canglang Pavilion.
Meanwhile, Qishan-daoren rushed back to S City from abroad and arrived at Peach Blossom Island. After he arrived on the island and learned of the anomaly, the corners of his lips twitched in speechlessness, “This old man is proficient in arrays, it’s arrays! This is a type of Fengshui arrangement and Yin-Yang calculation arts. How could this old man know, there’s no use in coming.” After saying this, he planned on leaving.
Zhuzhao-zhenren deliberately said, “Qishan, you old chap, could it be that you’re afraid to lose face and can’t figure out what’s wrong with Peach Blossom Island?”
How could Qishan-daoren not know that Zhuzhao-zhenren was provoking him? However, the other hadn’t finished talking when he turned around and stroked his beard, “This old man would lose face?”
Zhuzhao-zhenren chuckled.
Qishan-daoren coldly humphed before stepping forward, “Isn’t it only just Fengshui and the Eight Trigrams, this old man also learned a little bit when younger. As for this sort of thing, Fellow Daoist Jiu Yijun is the most proficient. In terms of Gu poison and Fengshui, their Qianshan Sect is strong. In those days, even Fellow Daoist Lian Chen was very proficient in this line of work.”
Hearing this, Zhuzhao-zhenren’s face sank, and he quickly look toward Cengxiu-zhenjun who was not far away. Cengxiu-zhenjun didn’t express any abnormality, but Zhuzhao-zhenren knew that he had certainly heard what Qishan-daoren had just said.
Lightly sighing, Zhuzhao-zhenren grabbed Qishan-daoren and whispered, “Did you forget what happened to Jiu Yijun back then? Why are you mentioning him for?”
After being reminded, only now did Qishan-daoren recall, but his face was thick and he refused to change his words, “This old man isn’t close to Jiu Yijun, and he has been dead for 30 years. Saying it just once isn’t even okay? He is just Fellow Daoist Lian Chen’s senior brother, this old man doesn’t care.”
“Yes, you are not close with him. But, Cengxiu, Yi Lingzi, and him were close friends.”
Qishan-daoren knew that he was in the wrong, so he no longer spoke and sincerely helped with the Fengshui arrangement.
D Province, Heibu Village.
The morning sun rose, and the first rays of dawn appeared, passing through the vast and dense mountain forests and illuminating the small village deep within the mountains. The ray of light shone into every room in the village, and the friction sounds of bones sounded in between the large mountains. Just a sound would naturally not attract attention, but it was the sound of hundreds and thousands of bones rubbing against each other, as if something was moving stiffly.
Gradually, the sound became softer and softer.
Not long after, a young and elegant silhouette appeared between the mountain paths, advancing up and quickly arriving before Heibu Village. Looking up at the century-old tree at the head of the village, the young man softly sighed and suddenly stepped on the ground.
Weng!
With this step, the final bone creaking sound in the village completely disappeared. A minute later, an elderly old man walked out of the house, stiffly walked to the end of the village, and looked at the young man.
Yang Ze smiled slightly and conducted a Yao traditional greeting, “San Gong.”1
The old man’s teeth trembled lightly. He seemed like he wanted to talk, but his bones were not under his control. After a long time, he finally said a word. His voice was flat and rigid without any undulations, as if like a corpse, “You……are here……”
Yang Ze lightly nodded. Following behind San Gong, he entered the village.
The gate inside the village was opened by someone from inside. Each and every villager came out from their houses with odd movements. Every time they took a step, their movements would become a bit smoother. By the time they reached the high platform in between two totem pillars inside the village, they were no different from normal people.
The sun rose, and Yang Ze stood by San Gong’s side, next to an erected stone stele. His gaze swept across these villagers’ bodies slowly, neither sorrowful nor joyful and without much excitement, but also not too much grief.
For a long time, he closed his eyes and sighed once. Once he opened his again, there was no longer any hesitation.
He said with a light smile, “Today is the first time I’m here to see you guys.”
The villagers each raised their heads and looked at the young Celestial Master on the high platform with listless eyes as if they were a group of spiritless gu insects. The dense and verdant mountain forest hid Heibu Village in a place that no one knew. The vast mountain’s silence concealed their lives.
At this moment, Xi Jia and Ye Jingzhi finally reached Canglang Pavilion.
