Chapter 323: Chapter 323: Luxurious Van

"I respect people who can retain their memory," Lana said coolly, rolling her eyes.

"Not someone who declared moments ago that there was no space and is now claiming there is. Must you be this hypocritical?"

With that, she turned and continued toward Axel’s van, leaving Garrison standing there in stunned silence.

Garrison absolutely did not want to let her leave like that, not in such luxury, not in front of everyone.

He stepped forward to stop her, but Axel moved slightly, blocking his path.

Axel’s gaze was calm yet cutting.

"Garrison," Axel said, "you are truly a manchild. My decision never to cooperate with you was indeed the correct one."

Garrison forced a stiff smile, though it looked more like a grimace.

"I do not know why you have developed such a negative impression of me," he replied. "Perhaps someone has been constantly bad-mouthing me."

As he spoke, he deliberately cast a glance toward Lana.

Axel laughed lightly, though there was no amusement in his eyes.

"You are right about one thing. I was sharp enough to judge correctly. But it was not due to anyone’s words. Your own behavior and manners ensured that I would never work with you."

Garrison blinked, momentarily stunned.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean nothing," Axel replied calmly. "However, there is something I wish to make clear. The Almond family should look out for themselves. If you dare create trouble for Lana again, I will not hesitate to create trouble for you."

His tone remained polite, yet the air around them felt suddenly heavier.

"I can save her from the troubles you cause," Axel continued. "But no one will be able to save you from the troubles I create."

Cold sweat broke out along Garrison’s back.

He understood exactly what Axel was implying, and that understanding terrified him.

He tried to speak again, but Axel had already turned to leave.

After a few steps, Axel paused and added without looking back,

"And in the business world, avoid childish tricks like this. Otherwise, no one will ever take you seriously."

Garrison stood frozen, fists trembling, as Axel walked away.

What he did not notice was Mr. Crow lingering nearby, glancing at Garrison, Tonyo, and Raven while muttering under his breath.

Those were not words of conversation. They were curses.

The moment the curse settled, chaos followed.

Tonyo and Raven watched in jealousy as Lana was escorted to much more luxurious vechile than them.

When Garrison’s group attempted to board their own vehicle, they found themselves unable to step properly.

Movements felt clumsy and uncoordinated, as though the ground itself resisted them.

Someone stumbled, another stepped directly on Garrison’s foot, and the confined interior suddenly felt unbearably cramped.

Garrison stared in disbelief.

He had not even signaled the driver to leave, yet the vehicle lurched forward without him.

"Wait! Come back!" he shouted, scrambling to call them.

After the vehicle returned, Garrison, Tonyo, and Raven climbed in, only to realize the space felt far smaller than before.

Knees bumped, elbows collided, and everyone seemed to lose balance at the worst moments.

The air inside felt stuffy, thick with frustration and discomfort.

Garrison burned with anger.

’I should throw them all out!’

Yet he forced a fake smile, remembering that these students would one day become pillars of the nation.

As if matters were not bad enough, an unbearable urge to use the washroom struck him. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Tonyo and Raven were no better.

Every few minutes they groaned and demanded the car be stopped, turning an already long journey into an agonizing crawl filled with repeated delays.

Meanwhile, in Axel’s vanity van, the atmosphere could not have been more different.

The ride was smooth and silent.

Lana looked around in astonishment.

She had never imagined that Axel’s vehicle would contain so many facilities.

There was a proper bed with soft linens, a dining area stocked with refreshments, a small playroom, and even a compact gym.

The faint aroma of fresh tea lingered in the air, and the gentle hum of the engine created a strangely comforting rhythm.

For the first time that day, Lana allowed herself to relax.

’This... is what dignity feels like.’

Even though the gym could not actually be used while the vehicle was moving, it did not look like a decorative afterthought or some cramped installation meant only for show.

It resembled a real room inside a house, complete with polished flooring, proper equipment secured neatly into place, and soft ambient lighting that swayed ever so slightly with the motion of the van.

After looking around for a while, Axel and Lana finally sat down to eat.

The gentle hum of the engine created a soothing background rhythm, almost like distant rainfall.

Lana suddenly remembered something.

’I almost forgot... that incident.’

Since there was no pressing topic between them, she lifted her gaze and spoke.

"During the haunted grounds expedition, I encountered something... strange. I believe I met a ghost. And that ghost is most likely related to a GA member."

Axel’s expression turned grim instantly. His fingers paused midway to lifting his cup.

"Why do you suspect that?" he asked.

Lana carefully recounted the encounter, her voice quieter now, as if the memory itself carried a chill.

"It knew my true name. I never mentioned it there. No one did. Yet it called me by it as if it already knew."

Axel’s eyes narrowed, the sharpness in them deepening.

"I already have a few suspects," he replied slowly.

"I will be closing in on them soon. You do not need to worry about this matter. Just focus on resting from now onward."

Lana nodded, feeling reassured, though curiosity soon replaced her unease. She looked at him again.

"How did you know Garrison would create trouble today?"

Axel seemed taken aback by the question. He shook his head with a faint sigh.

"I did not know he would be chosen as the sponsor. If I had known earlier, I would have directly requested the principal to replace him."
