Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 770: Yu Lin
Chapter 770: Chapter 770: Yu Lin
She let out a shaky breath.
"I thought I’d never see him again. I didn’t even know his name."
Yu Sile asked gently, "But... what happened next?"
Mrs. Yu gave a bitter laugh.
"A few weeks later, my father said someone had sent a marriage proposal—from a business family in City S. The name was Yu Lin."
She looked at the ground again, tears falling one after another.
"When I saw him... I thought he was the man who saved me. The face was the same. The voice. The cold, quiet way he stood. I thought it was fate. I believed it was meant to be."
She covered her face for a moment.
"So I agreed to marry him."
Yu Holea felt her heart clench. This was something she never knew.
"After marriage... I waited for love. I thought he would hold me like he did that night. Look at me the same way. But he didn’t.
He was always cold... distant. Even when we were together as husband and wife... he only touched me when he was drunk. It felt like... he hated me."
Yu Sile was silent now, his mouth slightly open.
"That was how I got pregnant with Yu Sicong and then Yu Sile."I still thought... maybe he was just shy. Maybe he just needed time. But then I got pregnant with Holea... and suddenly, everything changed."
Her voice grew softer.
"During the entire pregnancy...he was cold toward me. But the moment Yu Holea was born he became gentle.
He smiled at me more. He would talk to me and hold my hand. I thought... I had finally earned his love. I thought our family was complete."
Mrs. Yu looked at Yu Holea now. Her lips trembled.
"But now... I think I was wrong."
Yu Holea’s heart pounded.
Mrs. Yu closed her eyes.
"I think the man who saved me that night... was not Yu Lin. It was Young Master Ou. The real one. The one who looked like Yu Lin, but was kinder... and warmer."
She opened her eyes again. They were red from crying.
"That’s why I never saw love in Yu Lin’s eyes. Even when I gave him everything... even when I loved him so deeply."
Mrs. Yu’s voice cracked.
"So he let the real one sleep with me that night. And after that... he never saw me the same way. He was disgusted with me."
Yu Shuchang looked pale. Yu Sile didn’t say a word.
Mrs. Yu looked like her heart was breaking in front of them.
"Maybe... maybe he started being gentle again after Holea was born... not because he loved me... but because he felt guilty. Guilty for swapping Yu Mei with Holea. Guilty for what he did."
The room went completely quiet.
Yu Holea felt like the world was spinning.
There were so many twists and turns.
And everything seemed to connect at that moment.
Yu Holea hugged Mrs. Yu, who cried.
Cried for the man she missed out.
Cried for the years she had longed for love.
Cried because of the years that were wasted.
"But I don’t understand..." Yu Sile muttered,
"Young Master Ou should know that Yu Holea is his child...so why didn’t he ever try to take Yu Holea away? And why did he take advantage of his mother in the first place?"
Yu Holea said softly,
"He didn’t take advantage of his mother. Mr. Yu had drugged him and locked him with Mrs. Yu. Then, when Young Master Ou woke up, he felt guilty and gave more benefits to Mr. Yu."
Old Mr. Yu’s face fell, and he replied in a soft voice,
"As for why he didn’t reach out...the Ou family has said that the head(Young master Ou) is missing."
Yu Holea suddenly paused and asked with surprise,
"Are you talking about the Ou family, who had recently gone bankrupt?"
Old Mr. Yu nodded,
"I wanted to help, but for some reason, they are not ready to take help at all."
Yu Holea was stunned, what a twisted fate...
Suddenly, she remembered the way Ou Lin had watched. He looked at her as if he recognized her but didn’t dare to step close.
As if they were separated by a thin wall...
Now that she remembered, Ou Lin had silver hair too...
So was Ou Lin her brother?
Yu Holea didn’t know.
There were too many emotions clouding her judgment now.
She felt pity, anger, and sadness for her mother. Shock because of the truth revealed by Old Mr. Yu and disgust for Mr. Yu.
"Mom, you should divorce Mr. Yu," Yu Holea calmly suggested.
Not only Mrs. Yu but everyone was stunned by Yu Holea’s words.
Yu Holea thought the Yu siblings would get angry, or maybe tell her she was being too harsh. But instead, everyone just stayed quiet.
Yu Sile blinked a few times and then leaned back in his chair, looking up at the ceiling.
"Honestly... I’ve wanted to say that for a long time."
Yu Shuchang rubbed the back of his neck, his voice low.
"Me too. I just didn’t want to hurt Mom more than she already was."
Mrs. Yu looked at her sons, her eyes wide. "You... you both really think that?"
Yu Sicong gave a small, sad smile.
"Mom, you’ve been crying for years. You always pretended everything was fine, but we saw it. We just didn’t know what to do."
Yu Shuchang nodded.
"It was like you were always waiting for something that never came. Waiting for Dad to love you back."
Mrs. Yu covered her mouth with her hand, her shoulders shaking.
Yu Holea held her mother’s hand gently.
"You don’t have to wait anymore, Mom. You’ve waited long enough."
Mrs. Yu’s lips trembled, and she looked down at her lap.
"But what about the family? What about... what people will say?"
Yu Holea shook her head.
"People talk no matter what. But you deserve to be happy. You’ve lived too long in someone else’s lie."
Old Mr. Yu looked down, guilt heavy on his face.
"This is all my fault... If I hadn’t hidden the truth, maybe you would have ended up with the one you love. Sigh...I would only say that I support you."
Mrs. Yu looked at him.
"No, Father... You didn’t know my side of the story, and thank you for your support."
She was truly grateful.
If Yu Holea hadn’t said those words, maybe she might have never said it on her own.
Yu Holea turned toward Qiao Jun and said,
"Draft a divorce contract. I don’t want that man to be my mother’s husband for even a second."
From the moment Mr. Yu tricked Mrs. Yu into sleeping with a stranger, he was disqualified as a husband.
Qiao Jun, who had been quiet the whole time, finally nodded.
"Okay. I’ll make sure it’s done properly. Auntie, you won’t have to see him again if you don’t want to."
Mrs. Yu looked at him, her hands still shaking a little. "Thank you, Jun."
With everything set in motion, a divorce agreement was sent.
Everyone decided to take a break, since they were too tired from the emotions they were feeling.
Once back in her room, Yu Holea looked at Qiao Jun and muttered,
"Kiss me."
Qiao Jun didn’t need to be told twice.
He looked into Yu Holea’s eyes, just to be sure she meant it.
She nodded, just a little.
So he leaned in and kissed her—softly at first, like he didn’t want to scare her.
But then she kissed him back.
And just for a moment, everything else faded away—the pain, the confusion, the sadness from earlier.
It was just the two of them.
When they pulled apart, Yu Holea’s cheeks were a little red. Qiao Jun smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You okay?" he asked gently.
She nodded again. "I just... needed something real."
Qiao Jun took her hand. "I’ll always be real for you."
Yu Holea gave a small laugh. "That sounded cheesy."
"Yeah, well," he said, grinning, "I am cheesy."
They both sat down on the edge of the bed.
Suddenly, Yu Holea asked softly,
"Jun...I feel fate is so strange... Mother could have ended up as the head of the Ou family, however, she didn’t because of a misunderstanding.
If there is a misunderstanding between us that will make us apart, what will you do?"
Qiao Jun was silent for a while before saying,
"I will kidnap you and keep you with me until the misunderstanding between us is solved. Completely."
Yu Holea blinked.
Then she laughed—a real laugh, not forced or sad.
"You’re crazy," she said, but her eyes were shining.
Qiao Jun shrugged. "Maybe. But I’m serious. I won’t let anything take you away from me. Not even fate."
Yu Holea looked down at their hands, still holding tightly. Her heart felt warm, like a soft light was glowing inside her chest.
"I don’t want to be apart either," she whispered.
He smiled. "Good. Then we’ll fight fate together."
