Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Useless

Thinking about the strange and horrifying sound Mu Jie shuddered a little before continuing,

"Then your phone hung up. I tried to call you but your phone was switched off. Having no choice I called Miss Yu and told her everything. Then with Miss Yu’s help, we were able to locate you."

Mu Jiang was still confused and asked,

"How was Master Yu was able to locate me?"

When Mu Jie heard how Mu Jiang changed the way he addressed Yu Holea, he couldn’t help but laugh in his heart, however, he still answered Mu Jiang’s question,

"Dad, she used a tracking talisman. She said that as long as a blood relative of mine is nearby the tracking talisman would be able to track them."

When Mu Jiang heard this his eyes brightened and asked suddenly,

"What if the person I am trying to find is not alive?"

Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"I have never experimented with that."

Mu Jiang’s excitement faded a little and he said in a humble tone,

"Master Yu, if you don’t mind can you sell me one tracking talisman?"

Yu Holea nodded and said,

"Yes, but before that let me cleanse you."

Saying so she used her mystic energy to cleanse him.

Mu Jiang didn’t see anything but he felt a warm feeling around him.

The chill around him slowly faded.

Mu Jiang was truly surprised by the magical things he had encountered today.

From meeting a ghost to the power of a talisman and feeling something so abstract.

When Yu Holea finished cleansing the black aura around him, she took out a talisman and passed it to Mu Jiang.

Mu Jiang held the tracking talisman with a trembling hand and said,

"How much Master Yu?"

Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"No need...."

Mu Jiang was stunned hearing Yu Holea’s words.

Was Yu Holea so selfless? Did she give away such a precious talisman to him without asking for money?

Now Mu Jiang started feeling ashamed.

Remembering how he almost insulted Yu Holea and even said so many bad things about her in his heart, Mu Jiang felt like dying.

He truly misunderstood Yu Holea.

Just now he wanted to ask for some more talismans but when he heard that Yu Holea wasn’t going to ask for money he gave up.

After all, how can he shamelessly ask for more free talismans?

But from Yu Holea’s words now, it was clear that she wouldn’t take money.

In fact, Mu Jiang was overthinking and he will soon know it.

Currently, he was staring at his son with intense looks in his eyes.

He remembered that his son had many talismans, it wouldn’t matter if he took some from him, right?

Mu Jie shuddered a little.

But then Mu Jiang diverted his attention to Yu Holea and said,

"Master Yu, please take some money from me otherwise I feel ashamed."

But Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"No need, your son has already given money on your behalf."

"Master Yu how you can be so selfless..." Mu Jiang who said this line without listening to Yu Holea’s words properly, paused when he processed Yu Holea’s words.

Silence.

An awkward silence ensued.

Finally, Mu Jie said,

"Dad, let’s go."

Mu Jiang too nodded his head in order to come out of this embarrassing situation.

Yu Holea looked at Mu Jiang Mu Jie and said,

"That ghost won’t attack for a period of time but I think it better if all the people involved in that incident come together to deal with it for a permanent solution."

Mu Jiang was shocked and asked,

"Master Yu you..."

Yu Holea nodded and said,

"I know everything."

Mu Jiang paused and said in a low voice,

"Master Yu, there is something that I want to ask for."

Yu Holea nodded at him, asking him to continue.

Mu Jiang took a deep breath and said,

"Actually I wasn’t the one who was involved in this incident so why am I being dragged into this situation?"

Yu Holea shook her head and said,

"Nothing is without a reason. As far I know, your name was involved in that incident too."

Mu Jiang said in a calm voice,

"But I wasn’t the one behind this incident, I even tried to stop it, so why the ghost is so hellbent on destroying me first?"

Yu Holea smiled and said,

"Mr. Mu even if you tried to stop them, you weren’t able to succeed. However, you gave up the moment, you failed, if you had informed the community head at that time then, he might have been able to dodge this attack."

Mu Jiang suddenly turned silent.

Yu Holea continued,

"Not only that, you were also one of the businessmen who forced them and threatened them in the starting, didn’t you?"

Mu Jiang had no words to say.

"No one is good, and I won’t say that you are entirely wrong. At the beginning, you were wrong but now the mastermind behind is this also doing the wrong thing and hence no one’s action is justifiable."

Yu Holea had a clear opinion of this situation.

The businessmen were wrong and hence they deserved punishment but killing their children in order to make them feel the same pain those community people felt, the ghost was in wrong too.

If only he had waited and let nature take its course, then he would have seen how karma works.

Yu Holea turned to leave when Mu Jiang suddenly said,

"Then you helping us from him is also a crime, then why are you helping us?"

Yu Holea said in a calm voice,

"2 things. First, dragging the children into the conflict of the previous generation is wrong. And second, if I am able to help you that means destiny wants me to help you all."

Then Yu Holea suddenly paused and said,

"Mr. Mu, one more thing. It is not related to this ghost case and neither I want to interfere in your private matter but..."

She turned and looked into Mu Jiang’s eyes,

"But remember that we earn money in order to provide a better lifestyle to our family, yet if it is at the cost of ignoring our own loved ones, then that money is useless."

Saying her piece Yu Holea left.

There was silence for a long time before Mu Jiang said,

"You are right."

He muttered to himself and said to Mu Jie,

"Let’s go."

Mu Jie nodded but surprisingly before he could leave, his dad held his hand for support.

When Mu Jie looked at Mu Jiang’s legs which were injured, he suddenly became a little fearful.

If he didn’t arrive today on time then his dad might have...

Mu Jie instantly shook his head but more and more negative thoughts started coming in his mind.

He couldn’t help but feel the touch of his father and for the first time, he realized that his father had started growing old.

The once strong hand that used to hold him tightly was somewhat weak.

Maybe Mu Jiang was tired too but in order to provide the best for him, his father never took a break.

He remembered what Yu Holea had said to him when they were trying to find his dad,

"Till the time you have him, cherish him. You never know when he will leave you, so instead of blaming him for neglecting you, it is better if you do something that reduces his burden and he could finally have time to take a breath and spend some time with you."

This is when he said to Yu Holea that his father was always neglecting him and if only he stayed with him for more time then he would know that he never lies.

Mu Jie slowly understood that his behavior of attracting Mu Jiang’s attention by making trouble was nothing but him being a brat.

Mu Jiang on the other hand looked at his son, whom he always scolded for being a brat, and now realized that it was just because his son wanted his attention.

Maybe all the children are like this in order to gain the attention of their parents they make trouble.

Mu Jiang looked at Mu Jie closely and realized that he had grown a lot taller.

His eyes turned watery.

He realized that he might not have more than 20 years.

Only 20 years were left and then he would leave his son in this world to survive all alone.

So Mu Jiang decided to love his son and give him attention rather than focusing on earning money.

Both dad and son unconsciously became close and their anxious heart calmed down a little.

Both of them thanked a single person at the same time and she was Yu Holea.

Maybe what they lacked was communication and Yu Holea helped them to realize what the other party’s(Mu Jie and Mu Jiang’s) lookout was towards each other.
