Her expression turned more twisted when she saw how that black patch was spreading.

She muttered some chants and the black patches slowly faded.

Yu Mei stood up shakily and went downstairs.

As she was going downstairs her expression was slowly turning back into a gentle expression and a gentle smile appeared on her face when she reached the living room.

She saw Yu Sile and went near him,

"Third Brother."

Yu Mei called when she saw how lost Yu Sile was in thought.

Yu Sile came out of his daze and replied,

"Oh Mei’er, how was your day at school?"

Yu Mei showed a sweet smile and said,

"It was good, however..."

She stopped in between, hoping that Yu Sile would ask her to continue.

But even after waiting for 3 minutes, there was no response from Yu Sile.

Yu Mei showed a sad face hoping that Yu Sile would ask her to continue but yet he didn’t.

She almost couldn’t control her expression, however thinking about her goal, she gritted her teeth and continued,

"However, I miss Holea, a lot."

When she said this tears appeared in her eyes.

Yu Sile who was in a daze till now, suddenly became awake when Yu Mei mentioned Yu Holea’s name.

"It’s alright, just forget her!"

Even though that is what he said, his tone was filled with frustration.

It was clear that he was bothered by the fact that he couldn’t meet Yu Holea.

Yu Mei’s heart suddenly went on alert.

What was happening?

Why was Yu Sile becoming more concerned about Yu Holea?

Just as she was thinking what was going on, she heard him say,

"I just checked some of Yu Holea’s childhood photos. Since she grew up in a small village, there wasn’t a lot of photo but I noticed she still looked cute..."

"However I noticed that she was really thin, just what kind of harsh life did she live there? Mei’er do you know how excited I was when I knew that Yu Holea’s was coming? But..."

"Brother I too love Holea, but now when you are showing how much you love her I am kind of feeling jealous, haha!"

Yu Sile looked at Yu Mei and asked suddenly,

"But didn’t Yu Holea feel the same way too?"

"Huh?" Yu Mei was a little dumbfounded.

Yu Sile thought that she didn’t understand his words and explained in a more clear manner,

"If you are feeling jealous then won’t Yu Holea would have felt more jealous because I always prioritize you more in front of her."

Yu Mei was stunned.

The more Yu Sile thought the angry he became.

He scolded Yu Holea whenever Yu Mei cried, and he even ignored Yu Holea so that he could teach her a lesson for bullying Yu Holea, but here just because he said that he loved Yu Holea, Yu Mei was jealous?

All the servants nearby looked at Yu Sile.

It was because Yu Sile was scolding Yu Mei so loudly, that they were shocked.

After she was sure that she had made enough preparation, she took out a glass crystal ball from her cupboard.

If Yu Holea had been present here she would have known that the crystal ball in Yu Mei’s hand was a Darkness Crystal.

In order to communicate with entities like a god or an angel, a White Crystal is used.

On the other hand in order to communicate with entities like demons or devils, a ritual or star circle is used.

However, the limitation of this method is that you can never directly communicate with those entities.

Darkness Crystal on the other hand was one of the most powerful artifacts, through which one can directly communicate with entities like demons or the devil.

There were more uses for Darkness Crystal and hence many people tried to find it, however, no one was lucky enough to find it.

The person holding Darkness Crystal can never be a simple person.

And currently, Yu Mei was the one who was holding it.

Yu Mei placed the Darkness Crystal at the center of the room.

Then she started chanting a spell.

Soon the quite dark room started becoming cold, and the floor of the room became muddy.

Various hands and legs started crawling out of the floor.

Yu Mei was already quite used to this and continued chanting.

Once she was finished, there was silence before the sound of various screaming souls came.

It was terrifying and heart-wrenching but Yu Mei sat there with a blank expression.

Slowly Yu Mei’s eyes turned black entirely and she understood that the entity she was calling was here.

"Why did you summon me?"

A deep, echoing voice filled the room as the presence manifested.

The darkness seemed to thicken, and a chilling aura enveloped Yu Mei. She didn’t flinch; instead, her eyes remained fixed on the manifestation.

The entity that appeared before her was a shadowy figure, tall and imposing.

Its form shifted and twisted as if it were made of ever-moving smoke and darkness.

Red eyes glowed from within the shadow, and its voice reverberated with a sinister tone.

Yu Mei knew that this wasn’t the entity she was trying to summon, but the subordinate of the main entity.

Yet her limps were trembling and her heart was filled with fear.

Even after communicating for so long, she was still afraid of him.

However remembering how her life would be ruined if she didn’t communicate with him now, Yu Mei calmed down and said,

"Greetings to you, Master of Shadows."

The shadowy figure inclined its head slightly and said,

"State your purpose."

Yu Mei instantly understood that the Master of Shadows was getting impatient.

She rubbed her slightly cold limbs and said,

"Master of Shaow I have some questions to ask."

"Ask."

Yu Mei continued,

"The effect of the spell is becoming more and more ineffective and why is that so?"

Master of Shadow replied in a plain tone,

"The person with whom your destiny clashes, is becoming more and more happy. The spell works only if...you know what I mean, right?"

Yu Mei’s face paled as she asked,

"So does that mean, the more that Yu Holea’s life becomes peaceful, the more ineffective this spell becomes?"

The Master of Shadow chuckled and said,

"You are wrong, you are only getting back what is written in your destiny. Earlier, she was the one who took your suffering while you took her peace. And now that she is out of your control..."

Yu Mei shouted,

"No! You are lying!"
