Ghost Catching System-Chapter 438 - 437 I Blow, You Chase_1
"Fucking hell, what kind of power is that? The ’Lin’ Character Seal of the True Word Brush was completely erased!"
Yi Qingcheng said, "The Forgetful Woman has the ability to absorb external forces. Ordinary curses used against her will only become part of her strength."
That’s insane, sis! Isn’t this the legendary ’Star Absorption Technique’?
Chu Hao had a headache and asked, "System, is there a way to make her disappear completely?"
The System replied, "Host lacks Pretentiousness Points. At least 100,000 Pretentiousness Points are needed."
This is bullshit! Sealing the Forgetful Woman costs 30,000 Pretentiousness Points, and making her disappear costs a whopping 100,000. So many points!
As for the others, their mouths hung open in shock. They were ordinary mortals who had never witnessed such bizarre occurrences. The visual impact was simply too strong.
Yi Qinglian’s mother was almost in tears. "Qinglian, what on earth has happened to you?"
The Forgetful Woman looked at Yi Qinglian’s family—her father, mother, grandfather, and several cousins. She spoke indifferently, "Killing all of you will make me stronger. It’s your misfortune to encounter my true self here."
True to her name, the Forgetful Woman, thinking of killing her relatives the moment she appeared. How ruthless.
The Forgetful Woman spread her hand. As if pushed by some invisible force, the nearby wardrobe suddenly shattered, sharp wooden splinters breaking off and hanging suspended in mid-air, aimed at everyone. This was practically no different from having supernatural powers!
Frightened, the crowd screamed and kept backing away.
Chu Hao was also unnerved; her ability to control objects was peerless. He could only shield Yi Zhengjun and the others behind him.
Yi Qingcheng sighed. "You’re too bloodthirsty. They’re just ordinary people."
Under the astonished gazes of Yi Zhengjun and the others, Yi Qingcheng, the eldest daughter, waved her hand, and the wooden splinters clattered to the ground.
No way!
The Yi family twins... had they become superhumans? Everyone stared in a daze.
The Forgetful Woman snorted coldly. "Le Shen, are you trying to stop me? If I don’t kill them, my soul cannot fully recover."
Chu Hao, standing to the side, was furious. What kind of twisted old hag is this? If I wasn’t worried about harming Yi Qinglian’s body, I would’ve smashed her with the Ritian Stick long ago! What’s she pretending for in front of me?
Chu Hao cursed, "Damn Forgetful Woman! I’ll give you three seconds to disappear, or don’t blame me for getting rough!"
The Forgetful Woman completely ignored Chu Hao. With Le Shen present, killing them would be difficult. But it didn’t matter; there would be other opportunities. She would eventually kill these people to consolidate her Forgetful God spirit.
Looking down on Brother Hao again?
Chu Hao charged forward, no longer caring about the risk of injuring Yi Qinglian’s body.
Just as he surged forward, an invisible force blocked him, rendering him immobile!
The Forgetful Woman sneered. With a light push of her hand, Chu Hao was sent flying, crashing into the wall.
The Forgetful Woman’s soul force is already this powerful just after awakening. What will happen during the Second Stage, and the Third Stage? That would be terrifying!
Having no other recourse, Chu Hao took out the Jade Flute and began to play the Soul Sealing Melody. The flute’s song was at times fast, at times slow; sometimes stirring, sometimes serene, rising and falling.
The Forgetful Woman’s expression changed. She stared at Yi Qingcheng. "Is this your Soul Sealing Flute?"
Yi Qingcheng replied, "I can’t use my power to suppress you, as it would alert the other Mysterious Ladies. So, I had to let someone else do it."
Furious, the Forgetful Woman glared at Yi Qingcheng with murderous eyes, then turned to Chu Hao. "Mortal, you’re courting death!"
She tried to unleash her soul force to repel Chu Hao but found herself powerless. The Soul Sealing Melody was resonating, weakening her soul force.
To others, the Soul Sealing Melody was merely a pleasant tune. For the Forgetful Woman, however, it was agonizing torment. The weakening of her soul would blur her consciousness, eventually leading to her being sealed within the melody.
The Forgetful Woman’s face was grim as her hands formed Curse Marks. In front of her, a sigil blazed into existence. She reached into it and drew out a long sword. It was so incredible, it felt like watching a fantasy movie.
A sword lunge, incredibly fast! Chu Hao dodged, his qinggong skills remarkable. The Forgetful Woman had only just awakened; apart from her powerful soul force, she hadn’t recovered much of her physical strength.
As the sword light slashed towards him, Chu Hao dodged again, retreating further, the sound of his flute never ceasing.
RIIIIP!
The clothes on Chu Hao’s chest were slashed open, and a trickle of blood flowed out. Damn, that hurts! This guy was terrified of pain, but he couldn’t stop playing the flute; he had to finish the melody.
The Forgetful Woman let out a soft cry, her sword slicing through the Void. A tremendous wave of sword energy shot straight for Chu Hao’s head.
Chu Hao was startled—the attack was just like his own Sword Qi Slash! He quickly dodged, tearing a corner of his clothing. A loud BANG sounded behind him as the sword qi pierced through the wall, allowing outside light to stream in. If that had hit someone, wouldn’t they have been split in two?
Fuck, this woman is too ruthless!
Chu Hao turned and fled, leaping out of the window.
The Forgetful Woman pursued him, sword in hand. She had just awakened, her strength not even a quarter of its peak, so she could only manage to swing her sword at Chu Hao.
And so, a peculiar scene unfolded outside the villa: a man playing a flute while running, pursued relentlessly by an incredibly beautiful, barefoot woman dashing across the lawn.
"You bastard, stop running!" the Forgetful Woman yelled.
As Chu Hao played, he thought, Only an idiot wouldn’t run.
The Forgetful Woman had no choice but to chase. Even if she distanced herself from the flute’s sound, she would still be affected unless she got more than ten kilometers away.
Inside the villa, everyone peered through the glass, watching the chase unfold. From a distance, it might have looked like an angry young girl chasing her boyfriend. On closer inspection, however, the scene was strangely mesmerizing, and everyone wore very peculiar expressions.
Yi Zhengjun asked, "Qingcheng! What you did just now..." His eldest daughter had also displayed incredible power; it was truly unimaginable.
Yi Qingcheng replied, "I’m fine. For now, we can only rely on Little Chu. I hope he can seal the Forgetful Woman." That was indeed their only option.
As for Hua Zhen and the other elders, they had completely lowered their heads in submission. Chu Hao was so formidable that they felt like amateurs showing off meager skills before a true master—utterly pathetic.
Seeing the Forgetful Woman running barefoot, Chu Hao felt a pang of distress. Those are my future wife’s feet! That detestable, crazy woman!
Therefore, Chu Hao tried his best to stick to the grassy areas, careful that Yi Qinglian’s bare feet wouldn’t be cut by stones—a surprisingly considerate gesture from him.
The Forgetful Woman seemed to notice Chu Hao’s concern. She suddenly stopped chasing and placed the sword horizontally against her own forearm. "Keep playing," she threatened, "and I’ll slit my wrist."
Chu Hao was startled and hurriedly stopped playing. "Don’t hurt my baby!"
Everyone was speechless.
The Forgetful Woman looked triumphant. With the flute’s sound gone, her soul force began to recover. The sword in her hand floated into mid-air, poised to strike.
Frightened, Chu Hao frantically resumed playing.
The sword, hovering in mid-air, wobbled and then clattered to the ground.
The Forgetful Woman, frustrated and furious, snatched up the sword and pressed it against her own neck. "If you don’t want her body harmed, throw away the Soul Sealing Flute!" she demanded.
Chu Hao stopped playing. "You old witch!" he cursed. "You dare?!"
The Forgetful Woman’s temper flared. She, the renowned Forgetful Woman, being cursed as an old witch!
"You really think I wouldn’t dare?" A cruel light glinted in the Forgetful Woman’s eyes as she poised the long sword to slash her own throat.
