Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world-Chapter 395: His Birthday [6]
Charlotte supported Brandon’s weight as they slowly made their way up the stairs with his arm slung heavily over her shoulders.
He swayed with every step, the alcohol making his balance precarious, but he leaned into her.
Halfway up, he nuzzled into her hair, "Char... you are so beautiful..."
She huffed a soft laugh, adjusting her grip around his waist to keep him steady. "You’re drunk, Kael."
He turned his face, pressing clumsy, affectionate kisses along her cheek and then her jaw. "Big sis... love you..."
Charlotte’s cheeks warmed "I know. Come on, almost there."
He hummed and his arms tightened around her as they reached the landing.
Instead of walking straight, he swayed sideways, pulling her with him until her back gently met the wall.
He caged her there, pressing himself over her, and his eyes are half-lidded and misty.
"Wanna cuddle?" he mumbled, brushing his lips against her lips in a soft, uncoordinated kiss.
Charlotte sighed into kiss and she could feel the taste of the beer "We’re cuddling in bed in a minute. Keep walking."
But he kissed her again and his body swayed, pressing her gently against the wall as he nuzzled down to her neck, leaving lazy, open-mouthed kisses there.
"You’re so warm..." he whispered as his lips trailed along her collarbone. "Stay like this..."
She laughed quietly and cupped his cheek "Come on, let’s go to bed first."
They quickly reached the bedroom, and she pushed the door open, guiding him inside, before kicking the door shut behind them.
Brandon flopped onto the bed with a dramatic groan, pulling her down with him.
She landed half on top of him, laughing softly as he immediately wrapped his arms around her.
"Stay," he mumbled into her neck, brushing his lips against her skin again. "Cuddle forever."
Charlotte settled against him and draped her leg over him "Alright then, Big Sis will stay here and cuddle with you."
He hummed happily and closed his eyes, drifting to sleep.
She looked at his sleepy face for a moment before leaning in and pressing a kiss to his lips "Good night."
---
"Urgh..."
Brandon woke up with a skull-splitting headache and the glare of morning sunlight stabbing through the gap in the curtains.
He groaned before burying his face deeper into the pillow.
His mouth tasted like stale beer as his every muscle felt heavy, and the room spun slightly when he cracked one eye open.
He lay there for a minute, staring at the ceiling, trying to remember what happened last night.
He remembers those fireworks and too many beer...
Standing up to make some kind of speech. Declaring his love to everyone.
Remembering his own speech, he pulled the pillow over his face and groaned again.
"I am... never drinking again."
He lay there for a long minute.
"I need to pee first..." he grumbled, tossing the pillow aside and forcing himself to sit up.
The room tilted for a second, and he clutched his head with his hand, waiting for the wave of nausea to pass.
Slowly, he swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up, swaying slightly.
He shuffled toward the attached bathroom door and pushed it open without thinking.
Inside, Charlotte was standing in front of the mirror, fresh from the shower.
A white towel was wrapped snugly around her body, tucked just above her chest, reaching mid-thigh.
Her hair was damp and loose, and she was rubbing it gently with another towel, water droplets still clinging to her shoulders and collarbone.
She turned at the sound of the door and her eyes widened for a split second before a soft, knowing smile curved her lips.
"Oh... good morning, Kael,"
She didn’t rush to cover herself, she just lowered the towel from her hair and let it drape over her shoulders.
Brandon blinked and his brain was still sluggish from the hangover, taking a moment to process the sight of her.
"Char?"
She tilted her head "Hangover that bad?"
He rubbed the back of his neck, leaning against the doorframe for support. "Worse. And... uh, sorry for barging in. Didn’t know you were..."
Charlotte laughed softly and stepped closer, reaching up to brush a stray lock of hair from his forehead "It’s fine. I was almost done anyway."
Her touch was gentle, and Brandon caught her hand, pressing a quick kiss to her palm.
"Thanks for... last night," he said quietly. "Getting me to bed. Putting up with drunk me."
"It’s okay."
She laughed again, then nodded toward the toilet "Go ahead. I’ll finish drying my hair in the bedroom."
"Mhm." Brandon stepped past her and entered the bathroom.
---
After freshening up a bit, Brandon stepped back into the bedroom with a towel still around his neck.
Charlotte stood near the window with a phone pressed to her ear, dressed in only a deep blue bra and matching panties.
The morning light caught the gentle curves of her body with her damp hair loose down her back.
"Yeah, I’ll be there this evening," she was saying in a calm and professional voice over the phone. "No need for that."
Brandon paused in the doorway for a moment, just watching her, then walked up quietly to sit on the bed.
She looked at him and smiled as she continued talking on the mobile.
A minute later, she ended the call and lowered the phone.
The moment her eyes met his, her expression softened into a warm smile.
Before she could speak, Brandon reached out, catching her hand and tugging gently.
Charlotte let him pull her forward until she was standing between his knees.
With another light pull, he guided her down to sit sideways on his lap, her legs draped over his thigh.
She settled against him naturally, wrapping her arm around his shoulders.
"Kael," she said quietly, "you know I’m leaving today."
He let out a soft sigh and looped his arms around her waist to hold her closer. "Again..."
Charlotte raised his chin and leaned down to kiss his lips slowly.
When she pulled back, her lips brushed his lips once more, "I’ll be back soon," she whispered.
"And if you miss me, just call. I’ll be here as fast as I can."
He nodded and Charlotte smiled, then dipped her head to kiss his jaw, "Let Big Sis leave a mark here,"
Her fingers tugged gently at the collar of his t-shirt, pulling it down to expose the skin just above his collarbone.
She pressed warm, open-mouthed kisses there, then sucked softly until a faint, purple bloom appeared.
Brandon’s breath hitched, and when she finally pulled back, she admired the hickey with a satisfied little hum.
"There," she said softly. "So you remember me while I’m gone."
He looked up at her with a chuckle "Like I could forget."
Charlotte’s smile turned tender, and she leaned in for one more slow kiss, wrapping her arms fully around his neck as she held him close.
"Kael..."
Gently pulling her chin, he mumbled "Give me a few more kisses before you leave."
"Alright..."
---
Stepping down the stairs, Brandon reached the kitchen and saw Yverine and Elize working in the kitchen.
Elize turned her head from the stove with a warm smile. "Morning, Kael."
Yverine, who was slicing fruit at the island counter, quickly set down the knife and hurried over.
She took his hand in both of hers and looked at him in concern "How’s the hangover?"
Brandon gave a weak nod, rubbing his temple. "Bearable."
He slumped into one of the kitchen chairs and rested his head on the cool surface of the table.
Yverine patted his head gently, "Wait a minute. I’ll make you ginger and honey tea. It’ll clear your head right up."
She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head before moving back to the counter, already pulling out fresh ginger and a jar of honey.
Meanwhile, Elize placed a tall glass of ice-cold water and two aspirin tablets in front of him.
"Drink this first," she said, sliding the glass closer. "And take the pills, dear."
Brandon lifted his head just enough to give her a smile. "Thanks, Aunt Elize."
She ruffled his hair lightly as she passed back to the stove. "This isn’t the first time you’ve gotten a hangover like this."
Yverine glanced over her shoulder, already steeping the ginger. "You were really cute last night, though. All those speeches..."
Brandon groaned again, dropping his head back to the table. "Don’t remind me."
Yverine giggled, pouring hot water over the ginger and honey. "Even calling Master Naevora ’Voldemort.’ I thought she was going to hex you on the spot."
She brought over the steaming mug of tea a minute later, setting it carefully in front of him and pressing another kiss to his temple.
"Drink slow," she said softly. "You’ll feel better soon."
Looking up at her, he grinned "I think I will feel even better if my Yve kisses me."
Yverine’s cheeks pinked instantly and she glanced quickly at Elize, who was busy at the stove.
Yverine leaned down again and kissed his lips.
When she pulled back, her fingers brushed his cheek "There. Better?"
Brandon’s grin widened, "Much."
He caught her hand before she could straighten fully, pulling lightly as she sat on the edge of the table "One more?"
Yverine laughed softly, leaning in without hesitation to give him another kiss.
Elize cleared her throat from the stove, "If you two are done flirting, breakfast is ready. And Kael, drink your tea before it gets cold."
Yverine pulled back with a final quick peck to his forehead, hopping off the table to help Elize with the plates.
Brandon chuckled and took the mug, sipping the tea with a contented sigh.
