Everyone, including the rogue cultivator who was watching everything from the sidelines secretly, turned their heads towards the two young monks who appeared in the area.

No one knew which land they stepped out from, but there were no signs of injuries on their bodies.

"I must say that you have an awful mouth, donor." The older one of the two young monks spoke with a smiling face and his hands clasped before him in a praying motion. "I don't even feel comfortable calling you a fellow human, let alone a fellow Daoist."

Xian Mei's eyes went wide in surprise, and her aura vanished as she turned to look at the man who spoke in her defense.

She recognized the monk.

Xu Tianhua, the core disciple of the Temple of Eternal Body. At the age of 48, he managed to reach the peak of the core formation realm.

He was the second most talented disciple that the temple had in a century.

The first disciple…

Well, she knew that was a forbidden topic in the Quan Empire.

Xue Zhen scowled upon hearing the words of the monk, "You!!"

He wanted to fight back, but unlike Xian Mei, a young talent without much battle experience despite her higher cultivation, Xu Tianhua was a monster through and through.

He was only at the peak of the core formation realm but also older than anyone else present.

With his level of talent, this young monk was famed to have fully mastered most of the battle techniques of his sect.

"This has nothing to do with you, Xu Tianhua, the Merciless Monk!"

In the past years, Xu Tianhua had attended many competitions and tournaments. During those times he made a name for himself as the Merciless Monk.

He never hesitated from delivering the punishment and judgment to those who deserved it.

He was a monk at heart but one with his own morals and beliefs.

And since he had a righteous heart, the monks also accepted him as one of their own.

"This has everything to do with me." Xu Tianhua shook his head with a soft smile. "During the times of the grand domain trails, the three great sects have formed a temporary alliance to prevent someone shameless enough to bully us with numbers or pick us apart little by little."

"So you hypocrites joined forces to deal with us Blood Fiend Sect's disciples. If the sect master found out about it, he will not let any one of you go easily."

The fierce-looking woman standing beside Xue Zhen shouted in anger, but as they say, the louder you are, the more you're trying to cover up something.

And she was covering the fact that she was scared shitless that Xu Tianhua would really take action against them and kill them.

Ignoring their numerical advantage, even the monk alone could kill them both easily in a few moves.

The Merciless Monk ignored her words and looked at Xue Zhen. "Go on and sit down to the side and don't act up again. If you cannot do that…"

The smile on his face dropped a little, and his voice grew chilly. "Please kill yourself, donor, so I won't have to dirty my hands with filth."

Xue Zhen had no choice but to swallow his pride, in other words, to suck it up and do as he was told.

The rules were made by the strong, and currently he was not even the third strongest or the second strongest, let alone the strongest one present.

So, under the watchful gaze of the small crowd present, with bloodshot eyes, he moved to the side.

His hands were clenched, and his head was lowered in shame. His companion was doing no better than him.

She did the only thing she could and glared at Xian Mei as if she wanted to wipe some blood debt between them.

Once the two of them sat down to take blood recovery pills and heal themselves, Xu Tianhua finally turned his attention towards the building that everyone had been curious about.

"Is this the place we were told about, Senior Xu?" Xian Mei found the monk looking at the thing she had been curious about from the start and asked cautiously.

"Indeed." And the monk confirmed her words with a nod.

Surrounded by the different elemental domains stood the lone place that appeared to be the center of anything.

The building only had a single floor, but it was huge. Huge enough to challenge the special elemental lands they had come out of.

The walls of the buildings appeared to be made of bronze. A low rhythmic hum, deep and resonating, was coming from the building.

One could practically see it with the naked eye. There were no signs of age on this place, but everyone could tell from one glance that it was ancient.

A power before which they felt like powerless ants.

"Amitabha!" Xu Tianhua could feel and see a tangible rhythm before him. A rhythm so profound that it stirred the flow of blood within him.

In the front was a simple gate carved from stones and steps made from a special wood.

"What is this place?" Feeling the profoundness of this place, Xian Mei wondered out loud, moving her gaze all over the structure.

She did not even expect someone to answer the question for her.

"Temple of Destiny."

Temple of Destiny? What kind of place is that?" Even when she heard the response from a voice she had never heard before, Xian Mei kept on talking, not realizing she was no longer speaking to Monk Xu Tianhua.

But she paused when she turned to look at the monks, who were looking behind her, startled at the sight of something.

It was then she realized… something was wrong!

Her breathing stopped, and her eyes widened. The voice she heard replayed in her mind.

When her instincts kicked in, Xian Mei jumped forward away from the source of the sound and turned around.

She finally saw the owner of the voice, a young man she had never seen. His golden eyes glanced towards her curiously before they moved towards the others present in the area. He drew closer to the group as his loose black kimono fluttered in the air with his long, wavy hair.
