Chapter 795: Body Cultivator

"The battle between the two races’ Spiritual Infant cultivators is still ongoing outside Seven-Kill Hall?"

Qin Sang had not seen any trace of Spiritual Infant cultivators earlier and had assumed things had settled down.

He had once suffered from the aftermath of such a battle and had no desire to relive that experience.

But as fate would have it, the very thing he feared had come straight at him.

Two streaks of evasion light chased each other, and to his dismay, were heading directly toward his location.

Cursing inwardly, Qin Sang didn’t dare hesitate. He immediately activated the secret talisman and unleashed Sword Qi Thunderclap. Without looking back, he fled at full speed.

The evasion lights blurred through the storm, darting with terrifying velocity.

Even amidst the tempest, the clash between the two Spiritual Infant cultivators remained fierce and even more awe-inspiring in scale.

Hurricanes howled.

Waves towered into the sky.

Fortunately, this was taking place over the sea. If it had been on land, one might suspect even the mountains would be gradually worn down by the storm. No living creature could possibly survive here for long.

As the battle drew closer and closer, Qin Sang’s heart pounded with alarm. He did all he could to evade, letting the storm carry him along, and at last escaped the battlefield.

Rumble...

Wham!

Through the constant roar of the storm, explosions of thunder resounded again and again.

Two figures fought and chased each other. One wielded a sword, while the other had a black flute floating before him.

The flute released no music, only deafening thunder. Beast phantoms surged out from it, each vicious and savage, lunging at the swordsman.

With a flick of the wrist, the swordsman summoned hundreds of sword lights that circled around him, forming a sword array. In the blink of an eye, the array transformed into a waterfall of sword qi, cascading down like a silver river from the heavens. The beast phantoms were torn apart, and the sword qi swept toward the flute.

The two seemed evenly matched, neither able to overpower the other.

They fought as they moved through the storm, clearly beginning to tire. With mutual understanding, they gradually shifted their battle outward. Wherever they passed, sword qi and beast phantoms filled the skies, and the shockwaves spread in all directions.

Although Qin Sang had reacted swiftly, he was still caught in the fallout. A sharp pain tore across his back as a massive wave, stirred by sword qi, slammed into him and flung his body deep into the sea.

Cough, cough...

Coughing and pale, Qin Sang struggled to the surface. He glanced up and saw the two evasion lights already vanishing into the distance. At last, he let out a breath of relief.

Still, a sense of unease lingered. If the two cultivators refused to back down and continued their fight, chaos might already be erupting beyond the storm. It was entirely possible that the clash would escalate into a full-scale war between the two races.

Just then, a sudden change occurred.

Dazzling light erupted from the battlefield, and the two Spiritual Infant cultivators fought with even greater ferocity.

A streak of azure light struggled through the waves, fleeing at full speed. It narrowly avoided the aftermath of the clash and held on just long enough for the two cultivators to leave.

But just as things seemed to settle, the sword-wielding cultivator suddenly released a terrifying sword array. Countless sword shadows filled the sky, bombarding his opponent.

The other man showed no fear. His black flute rapidly expanded, and from within it emerged an enormous beast phantom shaped like a Qilin. The Qilin formed a protective barrier around him, blocking the attack.

Once again, it was an evenly matched blow. The two exchanged one final strike and then vanished into the depths of the storm.

But the residual force of the sword array had not yet faded. The azure light, which had already moved away from the battlefield, was suddenly caught in the explosion. Blasted aside by the shockwave, it was then struck by the scattering sword shadows.

Within that azure light was a lean-faced young man with a prominent hooked nose.

His eyes were sharp and piercing. Yet even under attack, he showed no panic. His eyes flicked toward the direction where the two cultivators had disappeared. Once he confirmed they had gone far enough, he let out a sharp, piercing howl.

The cry was shrill and cutting. Immediately, two clusters of azure light surged from his back.

The light twisted and shifted, transforming into two massive wings.

Though formed from light, the wings looked almost real, covered in fine, delicate feathers. Each feather shimmered in azure, forming a pair of wings as beautiful as they were majestic.

With a swoosh, the wings spread open, then folded in an instant, fully enclosing the hooked-nosed man within them.

The sword shadows struck.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The wings were torn apart by the sword shadows. Feathers scattered through the air, and large gaps were ripped through the wings, leaving them ragged and tattered. But they had successfully shielded the man within.

Even so, the force behind the attack sent the hooked-nosed man flying. His body tumbled through the air like a ball, flung far into the distance.

At the same time, Qin Sang, who had just climbed out of the sea, witnessed the scene from afar. He saw the man shed the force of the impact and step out from the ruined wings. To meet under such circumstances was unexpected. Qin Sang narrowed his eyes slightly.

"The sword array may have been spent, and these two were not on the same level as the Devil Lord or the grand witch priest, but the power it unleashed was still nothing to scoff at. For this man to emerge unscathed, he must be a peak Core Formation Realm expert."

Qin Sang made his assessment inwardly.

The hooked-nosed man also noticed Qin Sang. He turned to look over, his brows furrowing deeply. His first instinct was to retract his wings, but he immediately realized it was already too late. A surge of killing intent welled up within him.

There might still be other Spiritual Infant cultivators battling nearby. Unaware of the murderous intent directed at him, Qin Sang had no intention of staying around. He did not plan to interact with the hooked-nosed man and, after a brief glance, turned to leave.

As long as he kept the connection through the bone flute active, he would not lose track of his target.

However, he had only walked a short distance when his expression shifted. His gaze turned grim. The man had followed him in silence and suddenly burst forth with astonishing speed, making no effort to conceal the killing intent that surged toward the sky.

The distance between them rapidly closed. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Qin Sang abruptly turned his head.

Through the storm and the crashing waves, the two locked eyes.

From the unwavering look in the hooked-nosed man’s eyes, Qin Sang felt a jolt of shock.

We have no enmity between us. I have only tracked the man up to this point, and the man had not reacted earlier, which meant the bone flute had not exposed me. So why is the man now looking at me as though I am a sworn enemy?

Even if he intends to kill for treasure, this expression is too intense.

Is it really just because I have witnessed him in a moment of vulnerability?

Qin Sang suppressed his confusion, but a strong sense of danger surged in his heart. This man might very well be the strongest opponent he had encountered since forming his core. Without hesitation, Qin Sang activated the secret talisman and his flying sword. His speed exploded in an instant.

The hooked-nosed man seemed surprised by Qin Sang’s display of astonishing evasion techniques, but then gave a cold, mocking smile. The wings on his back had already returned to their full form. With a gentle flap, he shot forward like a streak of azure lightning.

The violent winds and towering waves never ceased.

Qin Sang fled with all his might, weaving through the gaps in the storm. Behind him, the hooked-nosed man pursued relentlessly.

After a prolonged chase, Qin Sang’s expression grew darker.

He had known from the start that the man’s evasion speed exceeded his. Still, with the storm constantly shifting, it should not have been easy for the man to catch up.

Yet unexpectedly, the gap between them was only closing.

Qin Sang had now realized that the man’s cultivation was not as high as he had initially thought, but what made him so formidable was his physical body. He was a body cultivator!

When faced with crashing waves, Qin Sang had to channel his true essence to shield himself, which inevitably slowed his speed. But the other man, relying solely on his physical body, charged through the wind and waves without hesitation.
