Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!-Chapter 148: Earth’s Will, the Birth of Artifact Gear
Boom!
A loud crash, the sky cracked open, and endless winds rushed in.
Everyone looked up, terrified, as a terrifying pressure descended, as if it wanted to tear the whole world apart.
"What’s going on?" Ares looked serious, watching the sky being torn apart, completely confused.
At this moment, George was covered in blood, using his Fundamental Power without holding back, his body seeming like it was about to be torn apart.
But he still couldn’t stop the terrifying space turbulence. The sky cracks expanded slowly, dark and deep, like the mouth of a huge beast that wanted to swallow the whole Earth.
"Get everyone out of the Sovereign City. I won’t last long," George gritted his teeth, growling, with blood continuously flowing from his mouth.
This terrifying Earth’s Will was still violently suppressing his Fundamental Power.
George was angry, but also felt a deep sense of helplessness.
"What about you?" Ares also realized how serious the situation was and asked with a frown.
"Relax, this space turbulence can’t kill me. Hurry up!" George urged again.
James cut in before Ares could speak, saying, "I’ll arrange for everyone to leave right away. You be careful."
Then he looked at Ares and added, "The academy is in your hands. I’ll notify the people in the Sovereign City."
"Okay."
The group didn’t hesitate. They looked deeply at George, then moved quickly.
The booming sound continued. The space cracked open. Darkness swallowed the land. Life and light quickly faded. Under the pressure of space, buildings crumbled, the earth shattered, and everything around turned into nothing.
George felt his scalp tingle. The strength of the space turbulence was still too terrifying. He could escape from it, but if he got lost inside, he’d probably be in big trouble.
The students around him left quickly under Ares’ orders.
George finally relaxed, but the space cracks kept expanding.
Even worse, the pressure was getting stronger. He had a feeling that if he used his Fundamental Power again, he might be torn apart.
"I know you have your own consciousness," George growled, angry. "I’m doing this to protect the Earth. If the space turbulence spreads, the whole Earth might be swallowed. Is that what you want to see?"
George was sure that Earth’s Will had its own awareness.
At this critical moment, instead of suppressing the space power, it tried to kill him. That made him very angry.
Suddenly, the pressure vanished. A violent energy surged around George, and he was hit by a backlash. He coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Before he could react, a huge, ancient energy wave came. The space cracks stopped spreading. The broken space slowly started to heal.
Earth’s Will!
George realized and said softly, "You really have your own consciousness."
He sighed in relief, sat down on the ground, and felt intense pain all over his body. The terrifying pressure almost crushed him, and his meridians were all broken.
If it had been before, such a wound would have killed him or left him crippled for life.
But now that George had Fundamental Power, rebuilding his meridians was no problem at all.
The huge space cracks slowly healed. The space turbulence disappeared, and light returned.
George sighed in relief. The big crisis was finally over.
He looked at the ruined scene and felt a deep sense of helplessness again.
The whole academy was destroyed almost completely-not cracked, but just vanished into nothing.
If the space turbulence had actually hit, the result would have been unimaginable.
Ares also noticed the space cracks disappearing. He let out a quiet sigh of relief and ran over to check on George’s injuries.
"How are you?" He looked worried.
At that moment, George was covered in blood, and it looked really bad. His breathing was unstable.
"Not dead yet." he said coldly, sitting cross-legged and healing himself.
Ares stood by, not letting anyone bother him.
James saw the space cracks disappear and knew the danger was gone. He rushed to the academy quickly.
He looked at the half-destroyed academy and sighed lightly. This battle had caused a lot of student deaths. Since the Obsidian Academy was founded, it had never suffered such a heavy loss.
"Arrange for a meeting in half an hour," James ordered the guards beside him.
The guards nodded and left quickly.
"Ares," James said, "wait for George to recover. He has the right to be here for this meeting."
Ares nodded and looked at George, feeling a lot in his heart.
He once thought George was the hope of humanity, but he never expected this guy to grow so fast. He had already passed the War God.
If George hadn’t acted in time, the Obsidian Academy and the whole Sovereign City might have been destroyed by Anderson.
The two said nothing, just stood nearby.
Later, Lily and Liam came over, worried about George’s condition.
Ares comforted them, saying he’d be fine. Then he managed to send them away.
Soon, George had healed most of his injuries and opened his eyes.
Ares ran over immediately, asking, "You okay now?"
George smiled and shook his head.
"You never stop surprising me," Ares sighed in relief, teasing him.
"Alright," James came over and said, "the meeting is ready. Let’s go. George, you’re coming too."
"Me?" George was surprised. "I don’t think I’m suitable."
His injuries were under control, but he was covered in blood. He just wanted to go home, take a shower, and rest.
"You are," James said honestly. "If it wasn’t for you, the results would have been unimaginable."
Ares added, "Come on. It’s just the top people from the academy and the Sovereign City. No outsiders."
He grabbed George and walked toward the meeting room.
...
The big meeting room was already full. When James, Ares, and George came in, the people there were a bit surprised but said nothing.
This battle had proved George’s strength. He was now fit to sit in this room.
"George, sit over there," Ares said, pointing to a seat in the back.
Most of the seats in the room were fixed.
James sat at the front and got straight to the point. "I called everyone here to investigate Anderson’s plan. We need to find out what the seed of Earth’s destruction is, and what else he has planned. We have to figure it out as soon as possible."
One person said, "I checked the Temple Guild. There was nothing suspicious. A lot of their members were poisoned with Blood Poison. They hate Anderson and don’t know any secrets."
Another said, "I also had the Sovereign City and the surrounding areas checked. There was nothing suspicious."
"Could it be somewhere else, not in the Sovereign City?" Another person asked.
The others frowned. If it wasn’t in the Sovereign City, it would be harder to search.
The most important thing was that they didn’t know what exactly Anderson meant by the "seed of Earth’s destruction."
Was it the Bloodvine tree? Or something else?
If it was the Bloodvine tree, the Bloodmist would come with it. Even if it wasn’t in the Sovereign City, it would be easy to find.
"Uh, I just thought of someone," George, who was sitting at the back, finally spoke up.
The others stopped talking and all turned to look at him.
James said, "Go ahead. Speak freely."
George nodded and said, "Kent."
"Kent?" The others were surprised, then someone realized. "Is that the Kent that got special admission to the Temple Guild? I heard he was a Blazing Angel knight. Later, for some reason, his class disappeared, and he almost got kicked out."
George rubbed his nose. Kent losing his class was all because of Blazing Angel Lilia. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
He continued, "Yeah. And the Bloodmist that showed up in the Beast King’s Realm last time was probably his doing."
Ares nodded. He also knew about this. "But this guy disappeared. I’ve had people watching him. I guess he died in the Beast King’s Realm."
"Did you search the Beast King’s Realm?" George asked.
"Yes, we did. There were no other survivors," Ares said. They took this very seriously.
"What if he wasn’t a survivor?" George thought for a moment. "If he was infected by Blood Poison and changed, would we even be able to find him?"
Ares was speechless. It was true that Adventurers who changed after Blood Poison infection couldn’t be sensed.
He said, "I’ll have people search again more carefully."
"No, I want to go myself," George said after a pause. "Also, I think the seed Anderson mentioned might not even be in the real world."
"Realm?" The others were shocked and frowned.
If that was the case, it would be even harder to find.
The first place they thought of was the Abyss Realm. It was too big. So far, humans had only explored a small part of it. Many areas were unknown and even impossible to reach.
"There’s another place," James said seriously. "The Chaos Battlefield. It’s also a realm-like place, but even more chaotic and dangerous."
George nodded and continued. "I want to go back to the Beast King’s Realm again. You guys can check the other places."
Ares hesitated, then nodded. The Beast King’s Realm wasn’t that dangerous.
"Okay, then that’s settled. Ares, contact the other factions and watch for any movements in the realms and the major warfields," James said in the end. The group assigned their tasks and left the meeting room.
George didn’t go into the Beast King’s Realm right away. Instead, he returned to his villa.
He got a message from Eliex that the Artifact Gear was ready. It was a Dark War Hammer, made for Constantine.
Also, the experience pool had accumulated over two billion points. That was enough for him to level up to 60.
George decided to advance his class, and after taming the Black Stone boss, he would go back to the Beast King’s Realm.
He left the academy and went back to his villa.
"Lord, I’ve forged the Artifact Gear," Eliex sensed his presence and came out excitedly, carrying a huge black War Hammer on his shoulder.
