Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 191: The Harvester
[In a hut right outside Ragon City.]
The outskirts of Ragon City were a decaying wasteland of abandoned structures, perfect for hiding an army. At the moment, a group of men and women stood in the Wooden hut, looking at one another, their faces filled with confusion, disdain, rage and disappointment.
"Why are we even here?! Why did the second Lord call all fifty-five of us to this dirt filled city?" A man yelled, holding a battleaxe, which handle length was half his height. His heavy armor and thick musculature marked him as the party’s primary tank, built to draw aggro but currently possessing no target for his frustration.
"We are fifty now, where are the others?" A lady asked, standing on a pole, completely balanced. Her Agility stats were clearly optimized.
"I don’t know where the Boss went to with the others, anyway, back to topic, what should we do?" The man answered, and asked, moving his gaze on the 49 people with him. The lack of a commanding officer had broken their chain of command, leaving the low-level mobs entirely rudderless.
"Hm... There is nothing we can do about it." A young guy In a mage robe said, opening his eyes. A faint pulse of energy receded back into his core as he disabled his sensing spells.
"I can no longer sense the first and second Lord, I am sure they left the city, heading back to the Headquarters." He said in a calm tone, his words stunning everyone present.
"They... They left without us?" The lady standing on the pole jumped down, staring at the guy in surprise, the harsh reality of the Cult’s hierarchy hitting her.
"Those bastards!! Is it because we are new, and haven’t become core members?" The Axe wielder asked, his face filled with rage.
"You are right... They simply ignored us, I think we should find the way to the headquarters, ourselves, or go our separate ways, that’s the only options now." The Young mage said, getting to his feet.
The group looked at one another, lost of words. The terrifying realization that they were stranded deep in Dragon Empire territory settled over them.
"I am off--"
The Mage froze, his instinct screaming at maximum volume. Not only him, the strongest in the room, all froze, and without hesitation, driven by pure survival instincts, they scattered in all directions.
BOOM!!!!
A huge red eerie palm smashed into the hut, shattering it into dust, rising some into the air. The Area-of-Effect attack was devastating, a condensed mass of dark energy that completely bypassed physical defense stats. Forty-five health bars instantly plummeted to absolute zero.
BAM!
The surviving five people fell on the ground outside, staring at the destroyed hut in shock. One single attack wiped out 45 members at once, turning a small army into bloody paste.
"Still low experience points."
"...?!"
The five turned to the sound, the dust settling to reveal their executioner. They were seeing a Lady walking towards them, two twin swords hovering on both side, kept aloft by a sheer, terrifying density of spirit energy.
"A Lv330?" The mage was stunned, getting to his feet, his mind reeling as he read the golden numbers hovering above her head.
"That... That attack was the devil cult’s signature move... Devil claw, so she’s from the devil cult." The man stood up, gripping his axe so tight his knuckles turned white. He wrongly assumed this was a purge ordered by their own superiors.
Mirabella stared at the five, checking her kill logs with mild disappointment, and rubbed her ears, a slight frown on her face. To her standards, this farm was highly inefficient.
"You fools are just outer member of the devil clan... So boring, I thought you were all core members." She muttered, lightly shaking her head, dismissing them entirely.
"You?! Who are you?!!" The Lady yelled, summoning two red daggers that dripped with a paralyzing poison.
"Don’t think we can’t take you on!!" The fourth man yelled, summoning a long sword, his aura flaring as he prepared a Sword Aura slash.
"Some people just don’t know how to live." The fifth member muttered, summoning a bow, her gaze fixed on Mirabella, instantly locking on for a fatal piercing shot.
Mirabella’s eyes swept over them, reading their stances and weapon grips in a fraction of a second. "Sword master bloodline, Warrior Bloodline, Assassin Bloodline, Mage bloodline, and Archer bloodline... Not a bad combination, in truth, this is a very strong formation. Too bad you met me."
It was a textbook dungeon-clearing party. The Warrior would pull aggro, the Assassin and Sword Master would deal burst damage, while the Mage and Archer provided crowd control and ranged damage. Against a normal boss, it was lethal. Against Mirabella, it was a joke.
BAM!!!
An invisible punch smashed into the fifth lady’s head, instantly shattering her head into blood and brain. Mirabella hadn’t moved a single muscle.
"...?!!"
The four watched in absolute shock, as the lady’s body dropped to the ground, dead. The primary ranged threat was eliminated in less than a heartbeat.
"This?! She is a Lv300, and was taken down like that? But, what happened? We didn’t even see her move!!" A man yelled in horror, his morale entirely broken. A one-shot kill against a Level 300 fighter defied all logic.
"This girl before us isn’t simple, she must be hiding her true level!!" The lady yelled, her Assassin instincts screaming for her to flee, and before she could shoot forward, an invisible hand grabbed her neck, and rose her into the air.
"What! What’s this? Who is... Who is holding me?!!" She thought, panic consuming her as her daggers fell to the ground, clattering uselessly against the dirt. She raised both her hand, and grabbed thin air, desperately trying to pry away the invisible force crushing her windpipe.
"...?!"
’This?! I can clearly feel something holding my neck, like someone’s hand, but I can’t see or feel the person?!’ She looked up at Mirabella, who was still standing completely still meters away, her eyes wide in horror. The realization that they were fighting a monster that didn’t even need to touch them to kill them broke her sanity.
’What monster did the devil cult offend? I am just a new member, why did I get dragged into this???’ She thought in horror, as the air in her lungs slowly got choked out of her, her health bar draining rapidly as the suffocation debuff stacked.
’I must ask for help?’ She used all her strength, and turned her head to the others, only to freeze in shock, staring at each one of them were also in the air, an invisible hand clenching their throats.
