Chapter 179: The Arrival Of The Pinnacle

[One month ago.]

[Dragon Empire - The Imperial Garden.]

The Imperial Garden was a sanctuary of high-density, cultivated energy. Rare, luminescent flora from across the continent bloomed in perpetual spring, heavily guarded by the palace’s magical barriers. Princess Delphine sat elegantly at the center of the garden, surrounded by these beautiful flowers, playing a silver Zither. The instrument was a priceless, hereditary artifact, and its strings hummed with pure spirit energy. Her eyes were closed as she immersed herself in its melody, the sound temporarily washing away the heavy burdens of her royal lineage.

After ten minutes of playing, the final, resonating note faded into the air. She finally stopped and opened her eyes.

"Wow! You are still the best, Princess Delphine." A handsome guy with blonde hair and blue eyes said with a smile, clapping his hands as he stepped out from the shadow of a glowing willow tree.

Delphine smiled, looking up at him: "How was it, Young Master Xavier?"

"Truly amazing."

Delphine slowly moved the delicate instrument to the side, and stood up, a bright, genuine smile on her face that she rarely showed the public: "As long I can make you happy, I am content." She bowed gracefully, a gesture of affection rather than formality.

Xavier walked towards her, closing the distance, and gently placed his palm on her cheek, causing Delphine to look up at him, her face instantly red with a warm flush.

"I will miss your music, Delphine..."

Delphine held his palm on her cheek, leaning into his touch and rubbing her face in his hand: "I will always be here to play for you. Whenever you’re bored, just call for me, no matter where you are, I will personally come over." She said, looking deeply into Xavier’s blue eyes, completely willing to abandon her royal duties for him.

"Your father won’t give you that chance." The reality of their social standing cast a shadow over his expression.

Delphine lowered her gaze, her voice laced with a stubborn hope: "When do you plan to tell him about us? You are the Son of the imperial advisor, someone who is second to my father... He won’t refuse our union." She said. As the heir to the Empire, aligning with the highest political family outside the throne was practically a guaranteed approval.

"It’s not as simple as you think." Xavier said, rising his head to the blue sky. His face filled with deep political and strategic worries, which he perfectly hid behind a calm facade as he looked down at her:

"I will be leaving in two days... Please, you should take care of yourself." He lowered his head, and planted a soft, lingering kiss on her forehead.

"But, can you at least tell me where you’re going?" Delphine asked in a low, anxious voice, sensing the danger of his assignment.

"Well... You know about the Monster zone?"

Delphine nodded her head, a chill running down her spine as she waited for him to continue:

"I was sent to the new territory under the Dragon Empire, Ragon city... I am task to keep watch on it still the emperor send troops." He placed his steadying hand on her right shoulder, offering comfort he clearly needed himself:

"I don’t know how long it will take, but once the troops arrives, I will rush back to the castle and personal reveal our relationship to your father... I won’t care if anything happens to me, but I won’t die without seeing you." He smirked, trying to inject some confidence into the heavy atmosphere:

"You are my star, my sun, and my light... Without you, I will be lost. Always Remember this."

Delphine nodded her head, her resolve hardening into unbreakable steel: "I will wait for your return."

[Present - Entrance of Ruined Anaconda Path.]

The romantic memories faded into the harsh, ash-choked reality of the Monster Zone. Delphine’s desperate drive to secure Ragon City—to protect Xavier’s post and prove her worth—had pushed herself past her absolute limits.

"Will the princess be alright?" Rose asked, her mage instincts screaming as she was staring at Delphine, who was lying motionless on a blanket. Yakima knelt down beside her, staring at the princess’s pale, sleeping expression, noting the dangerous:

[Spirit Energy Exhaustion] debuff hovering over her status.

"Yes, she just consumed too much spirit energy, and none of us have any spirit energy restoration pill." Yakima sighed in deep frustration, recognizing that their inventory was severely lacking for a high-tier escort mission. She turned her head to Cupcake, who was unbothered and busy sleeping:

"And where is Mirabella? She just said she’ll be back and vanish." She added, rising her head to stare nervously at the dust clouds of the ruined Anaconda Path.

"This Aura?!"

Yakima, Rose, and Hitachi froze simultaneously. The ambient energy in the air suddenly grew so heavy it felt difficult to breathe. They all turned their heads to the sky, watching in absolute awe as the space physically cracked opened like fragile glass, and Lord Hayatobi calmly walked out from the dimensional tear.

"Master Teacher?!"

"Lord Hayatobi?!"

"Dad????"

Everyone present were completely dumbfounded, watching as the Pinnacle of the Empire descended, his gravity-defying presence landing silently before them.

Hayatobi stared at the immense, catastrophic ruins of the gorge, his sharp eyes instantly calculating the absurd damage output required to cause such destruction, then lowered his gaze to Delphine: "Hmm..."

He squatted smoothly before the unconscious Princess, and with a flick of his wrist, brought out a glowing, golden pill—a legendary-grade restoration consumable that radiated pure life force. Everyone watched in wide-eyed surprised, as he slowly opened the princess’s mouth and placed it inside:

"Ok, she will recover in some moments." He stated with absolute certainty. He then turned his imposing gaze to Cupcake, whose one eye was opened, staring back at him without an ounce of fear.

"Where is your Master?"

"I don’t know, she told me to stay here and protect the Princess." Cupcake fully opened her eyes, and stood upright, her feline posture defensive but respectful of his sheer power level.

WHOOSH!

"....?!"

Hayatobi’s silver eyes snapped up. He turned his gaze to the path ahead, a slight, dangerous frown forming on his face: ’A Lv500 scanning skill? But he or she quickly redrew it before I can grasp it.’ He thought in genuine surprised. To encounter a spirit energy of that magnitude out here in the wilderness was an extreme anomaly.

"What happened, Dad?" Yakima asked, staring at Hayatobi, immediately noticing his distance expression and the sudden shift in his terrifying aura.

"It’s nothing... Someone should tell me everything that happened here." He said, his voice returning to its calm, authoritative baseline. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

’If Mirabella encountered a Lv500, she can surely take care of herself, if she can’t win, she can escape.’
