Chapter 170: The True Threat

[High Ridge - Anaconda Path.]

"Lord Tenth, should we attack?" The dark cloak figure asked, staring at Lord Tenth’s unmoving back. His voice was laced with a mix of bloodlust and reverence for the Lv500 commander.

’That human... Why is she so calm before such an army?’ Lord Tenth thought, his advanced optical sensors whirring as they zoomed through the dissipating fog. His gaze was fixed entirely on Mirabella, who was still sitting cross-legged on the reinforced carriage roof, her eyes serenely closed as if the impending massacre was nothing more than a gentle breeze.

"Maybe she is the princess’s personal guard, she is even a Lv325 All-bloodlines." The figure behind said, utilizing a high-tier appraisal skill to scan Mirabella’s surface-level stats, completely unaware of the monstrous true power hidden beneath her system mask.

"Should I and the 50 behind me take care of her?" He asked, his head bowed in deep respect, eager to earn merit by assassinating the VIP’s primary defense.

Lord Tenth shook his head lightly. Cold, calculating logic dictated his every move. "Let’s see if she can sit there and watch the others get slaughtered... Attack."

The cloaked man nodded sharply, and closed his eyes, utilizing a localized telepathic network to transmit the silent, deadly message to the horde below.

___

[Below the Hill - The Valley Floor.]

All the mutated humans—twisted abominations of flesh and dark spirit energy—froze for a single, terrifying moment, listening to the psychic orders echoing in their deformed skulls. The next moment:

SCREECH!!!!

They all let out ear-piercing shrieks that shook the gorge, and shot towards the enraged Yakima like a tidal wave of decaying flesh, each having the absolute, primal intent to kill.

"Break!"

The frontier creatures charging forward paused abruptly, caught in an invisible, crushing domain. And the next moment, they all violently shattered into a mist of thick, dark blood, their HP instantly zeroed out by sheer spiritual pressure.

"...?!"

Everyone on the battlefield was dumbfounded. Even Mirabella opened her ocean-blue eyes, staring at Yakima with a hint of genuine appraisal.

’She is angry.’ She thought, watching the ambient energy around the Guild Leader turn turbulent and violently unstable. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"I said... None of you will survive today." Yakima spat out, her voice dripping with venom. As she spoke, her heavily enchanted sword glowed with a terrifying, blood-red light. Without a microsecond of hesitation, she lunged forward, her speed breaking the sound barrier, easily slashing through the enemy’s heavily armored frontline like a hot knife through butter.

SCREECH!!!

The rest of the Dragon Tooth members looked around them in panic, drawing their weapons as they watched the grotesque, multi-limbed human-spider creatures scuttling down the sheer cliffs, moving rapidly towards them to flank the carriage.

"Why are these fools interrupting us?! We want to watch the white calamity!!" Austin yelled, furiously gesturing toward Yakima’s devastating one-woman vanguard. He slammed his fists together, tapping into his primal heritage. As his latent energy spiked, his hair changed rapidly, turning a brilliant, shocking white.

"AHHHHH!!!"

He screamed into the howling wind as his muscles violently bulged out, tearing the fabric of his sleeves. His fists clenched tightly as his Draconian lineage forcefully rewrote his body, temporarily boosting himself 50 levels in an instant. The massive influx of raw stats instantly caused him to become a Lv100 Warrior bloodline entity, a terrifying aura of draconic might rolling off his body.

"Hahaha!! This is the first time I have shown the full strength of my Draconian bloodline. Although I am now a Lv100, I can easily crush a Lv200!" He yelled, adrenaline pumping through his veins, with a wide, feral smirk on his face. The power-scaling of a pure bloodline allowed him to completely bypass standard level suppression.

"Go and get them brother!" Aurelia yelled with a fierce smile, drawing her own weapons, empowered by her brother’s transformation.

"You don’t have to tell me twice!! Protect the Princess!! Leave the ones behind us to me!" He yelled into the air, and moved with explosive speed. He leaped high and smashed down heavily on the armored back of a mutated human-spider, instantly shattering its reinforced exoskeleton and spine with a sickening crunch.

"Hahaha!! Let’s have fun!!" He yelled, lost in the battle rage. He moved like a blur, smashing the head of another mutated human into bloody pieces. Without a single second to waste, his massive aggro drew the horde’s attention as he moved to obliterate another.

"I will support from behind!!"

Rose, recognizing her critical role as the party’s primary support class, raised her glowing staff high into the air. Her eyes rolled back, turning pure white as she channeled a massive amount of spirit energy.

"Ten diagram Ultimate Enhancement!!!" She yelled, her voice echoing with arcane authority.

BOOM!!!

Ten massive, glowing, intricate magical diagrams materialized in the air above the carriage, bathing the entire allied group in a resplendent, holy light, while casting a sickly, toxic hue over the approaching monsters.

Mirabella lowered her gaze to Rose, staring at Lord Hayatobi’s last child in genuine surprise, then raised her head to analyze the complex runic structures in the sky.

’The ten diagram Ultimate Enhancement is a very advanced skill, it’s also a Legendary grade skill. This not only increase all allies’ stats by 100%, as long they are in range, it also gives a debuff to the enemies, poisoning them... Which increases the amount of damage they receive by 30%, not bad at all.’ She nodded her head slightly, mathematically calculating the massive DPS output this allowed the group to achieve.

’What can I expect from the Hayatobi’s child.’ She mused, acknowledging the pristine pedigree of the Master Teacher’s bloodline.

Yakima, her surviving guild members, Hitachi, Austin, and Aurelia all paused for a fraction of a second, feeling the massive, temporal increase in their strength, speed, and energy regeneration... They turned to Rose in pleasant surprise.

’She has grown up.’ Yakima thought proudly. Capitalizing on the massive stat boost, she plunged her glowing sword deep into the rocky ground. She raised her free hand high above her head, her fingers spread out wide like a conductor ready to direct an orchestra of death.

"Multi light bullets, barrage of absolute death!!" She yelled, as all ten of her fingers glowed blindingly bright and rapidly condensed atmospheric energy to form ten vibrating, high-density red bullets.

"Go!!!"

WHOOSH!!!

The red bullets shot towards the charging creatures like guided missiles, bursting their hardened skulls apart on impact. But they didn’t dissipate; fueled by the Legendary buff, they kept moving, ricocheting through the horde and killing more, while Yakima smoothly drew her sword from the cratered ground.

"The multi Light bullet is very special, with the help of my eyes, these bullets now have a consciousness, they will keep attacking still either the battle is over or I fall."

She moved backward fluidly, dodging a lethal strike as a mutated human shot out from a hidden burrow in the ground, only to be slashed cleanly into halves by Yakima’s glowing blade before it even cleared the dirt.

"Nothing can escape my soul eyes."

SCREECH!!

Yakima shot forward again, becoming a blur of white and gold, cutting down every single mutated human in her path like a scythe through dry grass.

___

On Hitachi’s side of the perimeter, he stood perfectly still, a stark contrast to Austin’s chaotic brawling. The tip of his black, Legendary-grade sword pointed casually to the ground, his glowing, multi-colored celestial eyes fixed unblinkingly on the wave of creatures rushing before him.

WHOOSH!!

The creatures moved with terrifying speed, their razor-sharp claws digging deep holes into the stone ground to propel themselves forward, aiming to rip the young master to shreds.

"Celestial Blade."

WHOOSH!!!

".....?!!"

THUD!!

Mirabella and the rest of the group were completely stunned. Hitachi didn’t move a single muscle, nor did he swing his arm, but the spatial fabric around the monsters warped violently. In an instant, the charging beasts all shattered into countless, perfectly symmetrical parts, their diced bodies falling heavily all over the place in a macabre rain of flesh.

___

On the Highest Hill hundreds of meters away, the Tenth Lord observed the absolute slaughter of his vanguard. Instead of anger, his lips curled upward into a chilling smirk.

"Both the soul eyes and Celestial eyes, what a feast I have ahead... Send the second force."
