Earth, Edo City.

BBY’s petite and adorable member Xiaomi hid beside a building’s wall, fear evident on her face, yet her gaze remained unwavering.

BBY’s leader Lina gently wrapped an arm around Xiaomi’s shoulder and said with self-reproach, "Was it too reckless of me to bring everyone out like this, to rescue those who haven’t made it to the Shelter?"

Yalu, with her peach-colored hair, nervously clutched Lina’s sleeve, her movements causing her breasts to jiggle fortuitously. She earnestly said to Lina, "Lina, everyone is willing to do this. We can’t be of much help to everyone right now; this is the only thing we can do."

Lina sighed softly. BBY had originally come to Edo City for their concert tour. District 11 was one of their most popular locations; they were scheduled to hold two concerts in Edo City. They had never imagined that upon their arrival to Edo City, they would be attacked by the Controllers.

As public figures, they had received excellent protection and were taken to an underground Shelter in Edo City. However, as one of Earth’s largest urban areas, there were far too many residents here. After the Controllers’ sudden attack on Edo, the Defense Forces struggled to break through the numerically superior Controllers, suffering defeat after defeat. Now, Controllers floated about the entire city, turning any humans they encountered into their puppets.

At this moment, Edo City resembled a ghost town. Although the buildings remained intact, there was hardly any human activity to be seen.

Taiya pointed toward an apartment building in the distance and said, "Over there, there’s a family."

Using electronic devices they carried, BBY’s members zoomed in with their optical lenses and saw on the second floor of the apartment building, a young couple with two little girls. They seemed to be in bad shape; apparently, due to fear, they hadn’t fled and were now running out of food, forcing them to search for sustenance.

Lina nodded and said, "Confirmed, let’s bring them into the Shelter."

The cat-girls were not rash individuals. They had confirmed multiple times that this area had been patrolled by the Controllers for the past two hours. After defeating all the city’s police and Defense Forces and even controlling a significant number of puppets, the Controllers appeared to have drawn back their operations. Lina and her group did not know whether the Controllers were retreating or relocating, but while they had the chance, they hoped to rescue as many people as possible.

Draped in cloaks, the cat-girls crept stealthily across the street, careful not to make much noise. Xiaomi waved her arms to get the attention of the small family, even making a gesture to remain silent.

Seeing them, the couple and their children quickly responded. Being too scared, they did not dare leave the apartment building.

The girls divided their tasks clearly. Wei Lan and Taiya kept watch; Lina, with Yalu and Xiaomi, would bring the people down, while two other members, Xia Ke and Qing Niao, monitored from another end.

Lina approached the family and said in a gentle tone, "Don’t worry, the Shelter is not far from here. Once we get there, there will be no more risks."

The seemingly honest young father repeatedly nodded, while his wife thanked them incessantly.

The two little girls gazed up at the three older girls from BBY with admiration and said, "Big sisters are so pretty."

Xiaomi giggled and patted the girls on the head, "You two are pretty, too."

The girls from BBY led the family, who hadn’t managed to take shelter, away from the apartment building and towards the Shelter, two kilometers away.

"We’re almost there," Lina said. This was an underground facility hidden beneath a mall, which now housed tens of thousands of citizens taking refuge. BBY had only been able to venture out because there were no longer any administrative staff left in the Shelter; many had died outside. Since Taiya possessed the technical know-how to enter and exit the Shelter, they had managed to leave without anyone noticing.

Lina repeatedly checked the surroundings for Controllers before finally opening the door to let the family in.

Xiaomi reassured them, "There are enough supplies in the Shelter; you don’t have to worry."

The couple and their daughters thanked them and then entered the entrance to the Shelter. Taiya immediately sealed the entrance, ready to continue searching for other survivors.

But at that moment, a group of Controllers appeared in the sky, seemingly out of nowhere. These creatures, in the form of Light Spheres extending their terrifying luminous tentacles, came and went without a trace, surrounding BBY’s various girls with dozens of Controllers.

Lina and her friends turned pale, huddled together, their bodies touching, yet they subtly blocked the entrance.

A controlled puppet, a voluptuously figured neon-clad woman, emerged, her eyes devoid of life, her face lacking any human expression.

"So this is your Shelter, hmm? You’ve managed to block the Controllers’ detection. The Star Alliance really does have some tricks up its sleeve," said this gaudily made-up neon woman puppet, speaking on behalf of the Controller that had its tentacle plugged into her head.

The girls trembled; they had never anticipated that Controllers would be lurking in what seemed to be a calm district.

Lina exchanged glances with her friends and said, "No matter what, we can’t open this door."

Taiya, always the most resolute, said, "I am the only one who knows how to open it. If I am controlled, they will know how to use me to open the door. So, I must commit suicide..."

She said she would do it and, from nowhere, drew a small knife and slashed it toward her own neck with all her might!

The scene was so sudden, nobody had expected Taiya to be so decisive, not even the Controllers had time to react.

Just as the girls couldn’t bear to watch the blood spatter, Taiya’s knife had already slashed down. However, something even more unexpected happened – Taiya found she was unable to cut her own neck, as beautiful as a swan’s.

Lina reacted the fastest, rushing forward to snatch the knife out of her hand and scolded her, "Don’t do anything foolish."

Taiya was also stunned, "Why, why can’t I die?"

A voice came from nowhere, sounding like a hearty older sister, "Such a pretty girl, it would be such a waste for you to die like this."

The Controllers and the BBY girls immediately looked around and saw at the entrance of a nearby convenience store a green-haired woman holding an ice pop. She wore the most fashionable sunglasses, thin as a TV model, dressed in loose trousers and a nicely cut short-sleeved top. One of her feet was bent, with the sole resting on a utility pole from the olden times, looking very casual.

The Controllers snorted in disdain, "Annoying human." One of them threw a glowing tendril directly at the green-haired woman.

The green-haired woman didn’t even glance at it, as if she were blind, and just as the BBY catgirls were about to scream in fright, they saw the glowing tendril freeze in place, just a few dozen centimeters from her, as if it had hit an invisible wall.

The green-haired woman opened her mouth wide and swallowed the ice pop whole, casually tossing the stick away. She pushed down her sunglasses slightly to reveal a pair of brown eyes that weren’t particularly memorable.

"Hey, when did you lower beings start to throw your weight around in my presence?"

She reached out, firmly grabbed the Controller’s tendril, and flung it away.

"Impossible! Humans can’t possibly grab an Energy Body! What the hell are you?"

Before the green-haired woman could answer, the group of Controllers swarmed her. Controllers with a keen sense of battle either swung their tendrils or shrank to the size of a micrometer, launching an assault on the mysterious green-haired woman.

The green-haired woman pushed her sunglasses back up and chuckled, "What a nuisance."

She turned her palm upwards without seeming to do anything else, and suddenly an overwhelming force emerged from her hand. The Controllers issued frightened cries and then, like a tornado sweeping through, they were pulled into her palm, eventually condensing into a golden Light Sphere.

Lina and the others stood by, completely awestruck, while Xiaomi’s eyes even turned into stars.

"Thank you for saving us. Are you a Star Warrior?" Lina asked cautiously.

The green-haired woman laughed heartily, appearing very nonchalant. With a backwards grab, she scattered the Light Sphere, and the catgirls could almost hear the terrified screams and struggles of the Controllers. But with that one gesture, the world became utterly silent, and everything was gone.

"A Star Warrior, kind of, kind of."

The green-haired woman said with a playful smile, removing her sunglasses and hooking them onto the collar of her top. That action led the girls to notice how exceedingly flat-chested the green-haired woman was, flat so openly and so directly.

She walked over bouncily, while Lina still guarded her sisters warily.

The green-haired woman raised her hands high, saying with a laugh, "I mean no harm, hahaha. I’m just a fan of yours. I traveled a long way to see your concert, but it got disrupted by these inferior beings. Eh, these collective consciousness Energy Beings lack ambition and are like lower animals, constantly thinking about reproduction and theft. This evolutionary path has hit a dead end."

As she uttered some incomprehensible words, she pulled out from behind her a paper poster of the BBY’s promotional photo and a pen, holding it up with a brazen face to the stunningly beautiful girls, "Haha, can you give me an autograph?"

Lina confirmed she wasn’t a bad person, then nodded with a smile.

Having collected the autographs and even a group photo, the green-haired woman was very happy.

She then said to the somewhat unsure catgirls, "So now, I guess I’m a sasaeng fan. By the way, I think you haven’t fully tapped into your abilities yet. I see great potential in your future."

Taiya replied coldly, "But we’re just Songstresses who sing to inspire others, I just regret that we can’t actually go into battle and fight the enemy."

The green-haired woman clapped her hands and laughed, "What’s the problem? Who says you can’t kill with singing? Singing badly or too beautifully can both be lethal. Hey, if you let me be your manager and fan club leader, I could turn you into—bling-bling, Galaxy Battle Songstresses!"
