Gacha Sovereign-Chapter 1186: Magic Goddess
Huft.
Huft.
The God of Wrath panted continuously as he quickly took a pill to close his injury. He specifically used the same pill that could regrow a limb, recovering all parts of his body.
"Did you think I would pass out after receiving that attack?" Marcus snorted even though he had a really bad experience with it. He wiped the foam on his mouth and dropped to his knees.
His heart felt empty as he couldn't help but stare blankly, saying, "Next life huh… In the end, you entered my life again… Since reincarnation does exist, this time, I will be the one actively pursuing you…"
He shook his head and tried to recover his energy as soon as possible.
…
Meanwhile, the Magic Goddess stood tall while looking at her opponent, the Demon God.
She raised her staff and smiled, "Before we fight, I want to ask you something."
The Demon God snorted. "There's nothing to be talked about. You're simply an idiotic old hag that I need to kill."
"…" Rubia wanted to charge at him, but she acted as if she wasn't bothered and asked either way. "Do you have the skill to create tentacles?"
"Ha?" The Demon God looked at Rubia with a weird expression. Even though he planned to ignore her, her ridiculous thoughts were just too much to be ignored.
"Tch." Rubia clicked her tongue while complaining. "You should have a tentacle skill or something. I will be trapped in the first half and turn the situation around in the latter half. You disappoint me. To think you don't even have tentacle magic which is so related to a knight or a magical girl like me."
"What the—" The Demon God wanted to rebuke her, but he suddenly sensed Divine Energy fluctuation around him before finding four magic circles in four directions.
"Four Magic Formation. Wave Blast."
Each magic circle surprisingly let a different element out. They were fire, wind, water, and lightning. The lightning wreaked havoc while linking the other three together. The water became the bridge to connect them while the fire covered the connection. Last but not least, the wind fused together with the fire, creating a more powerful connection.
The circle stopped the Demon God from moving and started to shrink, planning to squeeze him until he snapped into two.
The Demon God frowned and looked at the Magic Goddess. Despite her foolish act, she seemed to be pretty intelligent and cunning since she thought about buying time by using the cheap talks.
However, this kind of technique wasn't a challenge for him. The pair of horns on his forehead started glowing and released a grey-colored fire.
The fire released numerous translucent souls from humans to animals as they flew toward the circle to stop it.
"Ghost Summoning."
"!!!" Rubia's eyes brightened when he saw ghosts and shouted, "Ah! Ghosts! Now you are more like a villain. I will forgive you for not having the tentacle technique."
Feeling pretty annoyed by her useless talk, the Demon God broke the circle with his ghosts before raising his right hand covered with the Ghost Fire. He then punched forward, releasing a burst of Ghost Fire.
Rubia waved her staff down before another magic circle appeared. This time, there was a star inside the magic circle and each pointed tip was covered with elements. The elements were the same as the magic she used earlier with earth as an additional element.
"Five Elements Shield."
When the fire hit the shield, it quickly dispersed in all directions as the shield managed to protect her from the fire. However, she sensed something coming from her right and raised her staff instinctively, finding the Demon God emerging from behind the grey fire.
In his hand was a big black sword with pointed blades like that of a gear covering the blade's edge. It was similar to a teeth sword. The grey fire also coated the sword.
"Ghost Slash."
"!!!" Rubia blinked her eyes once before her right eye glowed in red color. "Blazing Fire."
A fire appeared right before the sword and exploded, blasting all the Ghost Fire off the sword as she received the sword with her staff.
Clank.
Two metal clashed, but nothing extraordinary happened because Rubia managed to succeed in the last attack. She then waved her other hand two times before a pair of magic circles appeared on top of the Demon God's head.
"Lightning Union."
Both magic circles summoned lightning and struck forth.
Seeing the incoming lightning, the Demon God leaped back to avoid and gain distance from the Magic Goddess. However, the latter waved her staff to the front. The transparent gem that became the staff's eye glowed red and released a torrential fire wave.
"Burst."
The Demon God snorted and punched forward, creating the same Ghost Fire burst like earlier.
As one would expect, Rubia's fire got owned in an instant before the residual attack came to her. Instead of a magic shield, she summoned a water ball on top of the fire and splashed it.
"Water Magic, Aila Water."
There was something different with this water since the Ghost Fire disappeared without a trace.
The reason she used "Five Elements Shield" earlier was to judge what element could counter his Ghost Fire. Then, she realized if she mixed a little bit of her Lightning Element into her Water Magic, she would be able to force it to evaporate. And that was what she did earlier.
"…" The Demon God also didn't expect for him to be countered this fast. Before the water disappeared, he appeared right above it and placed his hand on it. "Heavenly Absorbing Demon Art."
Suddenly, a mouth appeared on his left hand and swallowed all the water.
Although she was surprised, Rubia quickly channeled all her magic power into her next attack that appeared right behind the Demon God. A giant tornado appeared out of nowhere before Rubia summoned a fire element to turn it into a fire tornado.
"Ha!"
The Demon God furrowed his eyebrows and struck the tornado with his sword.
"Ghost Slash."
The slash split the tornado into two before the Demon God summoned a thousand ghosts.
"Thousand Ghosts Summoning."
The ghosts seemed to be lining up as if they were an army. It looked so organized.
Rubia frowned and saw the ghosts moving and circling around her. There were also some above and below her.
"Ah?! Pervert." Rubia still had the time to act like a child and tried to protect her panties from being seen by the ghosts below her.
However, her action just infuriated the Demon God even more, making him think, 'If you don't want it to be seen, why the heck you're wearing such an outfit in an important battle like this?'
There were so many complaints in his head, but everything ended up with her acting like an annoying girl in the end.
But once again, Rubia used that time to cast her spell. Lightning spark began appearing around her and between the ghosts.
Before the Demon God could order the ghosts to kill her, the lightning burst out and electrocuted every single ghost, obliterating them into nothing.
"Lightning Spark."
Rubia stuck her tongue out while making a peace sign. "You failed. Try again."
The Demon God thought he had enough and summoned another ghost army, but he forced them to cover his sword this time.
He flew toward the Magic Goddess as quickly as possible.
"Five Elements Shield."
The shield appeared again. To block him completely, Rubia expanded the magic shield. Unfortunately for her, the Demon God waved his sword seven times.
The first five slashes sent forth a Sword Wave, hitting the five tips that contained the element in succession. Meanwhile, the last two flew straight toward Rubia.
Rubia's expression turned serious as she realized the power behind this attack. The moment the five-pointed tips disappeared, the magic shield vanished, allowing the two sword waves to fly straight toward her.
Rubia summoned five star-shaped lights behind her and shot them toward the Sword Waves.
"Five Great Stars Magic."
The first two collided with the Sword Wave and exploded together. She saved the other three to hit the Demon God who was still coming to her position.
The Demon God surprisingly snorted upon the sight of the three star-shaped lights and waved his sword slightly just so the lights hit the body of his sword.
Boom.
A series of explosions resounded in their ears, but the Demon God soon emerged from the smoke. In his hand, the sword's Ghost Energy had been depleted.
He looked at the sword and clicked his tongue, "It's only two hundred more ghosts…"
The Demon God still decided to keep marching forward since the distance between him and the Magic Goddess was so close.
"!!!" Rubia never expected that two of her magic were still not enough to stop his advance. She quickly raised her staff with both hands horizontally because the Demon God planned to attack her from above.
"How about you take this?" The Demon God smirked and swung with all his strength. "Asura Ghost Blade."
Rubia gritted her teeth and blocked the slash with only her Divine Weapon. Unfortunately for her, there was a slight force coming from her staff.
'What?' Rubia was surprised when she saw her staff and the power behind that strike. 'The sword bends my staff?'
Before she could think of another useless thing, the Demon God pushed her back and launched her diagonally. She crashed into a nearby planet diagonally below her and created a bigger crater than the Earth God made.
"Gah"
Rubia spat a mouthful of blood. Luckily, she managed to protect her organs, and no bones broke upon contact. She endured the excruciating pain on her back as she sighed, "They're truly something else…"
She stored the staff and took out another one that looked the same as her current staff. "A magical girl needs the staff to perform, so I've made a few copies of my staff. They're pretty handy eh."
The Demon God narrowed his eyes and realized that Rubia was fine. Due to the setback of his Asura Ghost Blade, he couldn't summon his ghosts, so he wouldn't be able to do a strike that strong again for a period of time.
Hence, he relied on his flame this time. Instead of summoning ghosts, his flame flared up and absorbed the remaining ghosts around him. A black-colored light appeared within the flame before the flame shone even more.
"Primal Chaos Ghost Law."
The ghosts inside his fire started rampaging and became a wraith or vengeful spirit instead. It even let out a loud eerie sound.
Rubia felt a chill down to her spine, but her face remained calm as if it didn't affect her at all.
The Demon God actually infused this rampaging blackish grey-colored fire into his sword. Compared to the first fire sword, this one was obviously stronger. However, Rubia knew the sword's power was half or even lower than the previous ghost sword.
She stood on top of the ground and stared at him from the planet.
"This is what I've gotten from the Spirit God. I will let you be the first to see it." Rubia smirked and raised her staff.
Suddenly, a fire appeared in front of her before it turned into a ball-shaped fire and expanded. It should be finished if it were a normal technique, but Rubia took it one step further. "Enchanted Fire Bomb."
The huge fireball suddenly shrank into a palm-sized red ball. She grabbed the ball and let it float on her right.
She then went to the side and grabbed the wand with both hands. She took one step forward and swung like a baseball player. "Home Run!"
The staff acted like a bat and launched the ball at high speed toward the Demon God.
Even the Demon God never saw this kind of speed as he widened his eyes, raising his sword to block it, but it was slightly a bit too late.
It only touched the edge of the sword as the ball exploded, engulfing the Demon God inside a ball of fire.
Boom.
