Gacha Sovereign-Chapter 1136: Information
A few minutes later, Roy dropped to the ground, begging Alex to stop because he would be telling everything. The torture was unimaginable for most people even though Alex had blurred almost everything with his Space Element, only letting them see that Roy kept screaming painfully.
His and Jeanne's shadows remained to be seen, but it just made the torture looked more ruthless as they were trying to imagine what Jeanne actually did to him.
Meanwhile, Alex had killed the other two Rank 2 Gods inside the Space World with the help of Sullivan and William.
This situation had turned completely in his favor as Alex forced Roy to make a Universe Oath that he would tell the truth.
After getting that promise, Alex gave the first question. "Do you know the connection between the Phoenix Goddess and the dark era when you receive her power?"
"Yes, I know. The Great Supreme Being will descend to this universe once again and decimate all the population here, turning this universe into hell."
The people gasped from the first statement alone as they were about to throw up, asking them why they couldn't believe Alex earlier. They would have helped him even if it cost them their lives.
However, Alex waved his hand and asked them to shut up because he still questioned him. "What is inside your home planet? And who is hiding in it?"
"The one which originally received her power was my father. He became a God King twenty years ago."
Once again, the people who witnessed this shivered.
"Is your father there, right now? Are there any traps installed there or all of this is just a piece of the big plan to trap me?"
"No… No one knows about it yet. There is no trap or whatsoever. After knowing that I would face Firia Merona in the competition, the Phoenix Goddess asked me to lie to her and killed her in some way or another. That's why there was a need for two Rank 2 God because she would've gone with at least one Rank 2 God."
Alex's expression turned cold as his killing intent from his eyes. He tried hard to control himself and continued asking, "How many people are influenced by the Phoenix Goddess in this place?"
"It's only Elder Mua that died earlier."
Alex contemplated for a moment and asked, "What is their general plan to deal with me?"
"I don't know. I haven't gotten any important information as my father is the one dealing with her the whole time."
"Is there anything I can find from your father or will he die if he tells me information?"
"No. He won't die." He shook his head.
Before asking another question, Alex asked, 'Who is managing the system?'
[Me, Anya.]
'Anyone with Xingzhi right now?'
[Yes. Because we haven't gotten the full story yet, I have asked Anna to come with her.]
'Tell her to bring another God King to extract the information from the God King to know more about the Phoenix Goddess, Dragon God, and other accomplices. What I want right now is the information about the Bat to be honest because they have a huge number.'
[I understand. I will relay your message to Anna, so she can tell Lin Xingzhi everything. Of course, we don't have much hope for getting any information, but we will need to wait before getting any result. Of course, I'm planning to search for any clues in their home since they will surely leave some.]
'Sure. With you and Aria there, I don't need to worry about the battle plan even if I'm not on the field.'
[Good. And what are you going to do with the others?]
Alex thought for a moment and sighed. 'As much as I don't want to say it, we need to kill them. There must be Phoenix's spies there and I don't have time to see each citizen to prove my point.'
[I understand. We have gathered our resolve before going to war, so you don't need to worry about our determination.]
'Alright. I will leave everything to you.' Alex nodded before returning his focus to Roy. "What do you know about us, specifically Eulja and me?"
"I don't know much other than your abilities and the fact that you are on the list of people we need to kill. On the very top at that."
"So you have been pretending this whole time…"
"Yes." Roy admitted it because of the oath. "Though the Phoenix Queen and I didn't expect you to be here. We thought it would be Alicia, so we would kill them both because it would surely devastate you. At that time, you would be bound to make a radical move. That's where we will catch you is what I'm assuming."
Alex remembered the past life's character, so this kind of action would be very possible. But he didn't know whether his current self would do the same or not.
'Well, seeing that this remark alone has made me want to kill him and his world, I think I will do the same. They have been learning about me and trying to take advantage of this information…' Alex thought, discovering that the "weapons" might be harder for him to handle.
Alex began asking him a few more questions related to every single thing he could think of, including Anya's suggestions.
The people in the hall, including the elders, were furious. They never expected that they had been long in the dark and once this appeared, they would never know what killed them.
This was Alex's deliberate plan to spread the rumor about the beast and wanted them to arrange the army.
Unfortunately, it also meant that there would be potential spies hiding under them. Hence, even if they tried coming to him, he would just ignore them and go with his current allies as they were the only people he could trust right now.
But this also left a huge impact on the "weapons" because they needed to find a safer means to hide their position until the real Supreme Beast came out of the seal.
The benefit outweighs the loss either way, so he chose this method rather than getting the information alone.
This would also make the universe investigate the remaining targets while using them as sacrifices to know whether the location was known because it was a trap or not.
Alex then ended it with one question that he asked with a cold tone. "Do you want to live?"
"Yes, yes. I want to live. Please don't kill me." Roy started begging for his life and kneeled in front of him. "I was wrong. I would tell you anything I know."
Alex simply ignored his pleas as he asked another question. "Have you told me everything you know about the Phoenix Goddess and your relationship with them?"
Not having the ability to dodge this bullet because of the Universe Oath, Roy said, "Yes."
It was a definite answer that simply told Alex that he had no more worth in him.
Alex also understood this situation and looked at Jeanne. "Torture him again."
"Understood."
After finishing his questioning, Alex then walked toward the woman Roy abused earlier, finding her not dead yet.
He tried to wake her up and found the trace of the slave mark in her body. Using the Pure Fire to burn that mark, Alex basically freed her from that bind.
It also became a gentle alarm to her body as she gradually opened her eyes. Even though she was too weak to even do anything, she seemed to have recognized what happened and knew that Alex saved her.
Alex looked at her with a poker face and said, "You don't have to become a slave anymore. You're a Rank 5 God, so I believe you can restart your life again. However, the choice is yours and I won't do anything to influence you to make a certain decision."
The woman opened her mouth but couldn't utter a single word as if her body forgot how to speak. She must haven't spoken anything for a long time in that state of abuse. There was also a chance that her entire life was a nightmare filled with traumas at this point.
Instead of saying anything, she offered the best smile to Alex while tears were coming out of her eyes.
But Alex could see that the girl actually had made her decision in her mind and asked with a gentle face. "Are you sure about this?"
The woman weakly nodded her head and couldn't stop her tears. It might be because the time of her becoming a Pill Slave had been too long, she even considered herself a Pill Slave at this moment. Yet, she thought that she hoped she would become Alex's Pill Slave instead of Roy's.
The sympathy that Alex presented truly broke her nightmare and that gentle face of his restored her faith in humanity. What she saw was the worst, but there was actually the best before her.
She slightly lowered her head and raised her thin hand. Although it was shaking, her hand slowly made its way toward her stomach.
For one last time, she cut her own stomach open and let the blood flow out of her body. In addition, she even used the remaining of her Divine Energy to force everything out.
Her entire body immediately lost its color, but the woman managed to form a huge ball of her blood which was a precious resource.
In her last seconds, she looked at Alex as if telling him to accept it as her thanks for saving her from this oblivion. But it also meant that she had given up her own life as she couldn't take it anymore.
Alex was shaken but still used his Divine Energy to maintain the blood form without doing anything as he witnessed her last seconds.
With almost all her blood dried, her body finally collapsed. Yet, she used the last bit of energy to say something that she never said for more than a thousand years.
"Tha…nk… yo…u…"
Alex instinctively stopped her body from hitting the ground while looking at the abuses she had suffered this whole time. Most of them must have been healed and left no scars but imagining that this kind of treatment needed to be endured for a very long time, he didn't know whether he could even think about living for the second time.
Alex let out a long sigh and released his Godly Pure Fire to burn her body and store her ashes inside a pot. Despite having various thoughts, no words came out of his mouth as he only closed his eyes as he couldn't imagine what kind of life she actually endured this entire time and he never thought that even after enduring such a thing, she didn't forget to give her thanks to Alex. She showed that even in the darkest place, a light would still be there no matter how dim it was.
