Future Beast World: Becoming A Pampered Beauty-Chapter 182 - 126: Drunken
Si Ye turned to his side and tapped her forehead with a long, elegant finger. He was both speechless and amused. "That was annoyance! Disgust! If she weren’t female, I would’ve hit her long ago!"
"So you really dislike Bai Wan?" Sang Luo’s eyes sparkled as she looked at him.
For some reason, Si Ye felt a surge of delight. "I don’t!" he declared, his tone firm and decisive.
Her lively, alluring dark eyes seemed to peer into the very depths of his. "I don’t believe you. Tell me the truth. You two almost got married five years ago. How could you possibly not have feelings for her?"
"..." Si Ye was struck speechless for a moment. "She was my fiancée in an arranged marriage, after all. When we were young, perhaps I had some vague, positive feelings for her. I don’t really remember. But it was definitely a far cry from actually liking her."
"Our families were of equal standing, and our two Clan Leaders personally arranged the match. If I truly had to marry a female to carry on my line, Bai Wan would have been a suitable choice, and I would have had no reason to refuse."
"If that incident hadn’t happened back then, she and I would indeed be married by now. But there are no ’what ifs’ in life. Bai Wan and Si Yang are cut from the same cloth, and I despise them both equally."
"You have no idea. Because of that incident, I was the subject of endless public gossip. What Bai Wan and Si Yang did was a complete humiliation. How could I possibly still like her?"
Si Ye didn’t know why he was explaining so much, but looking into Sang Luo’s eyes, he couldn’t help but want to say more to prove that there were no lingering attachments.
Sang Luo let out a soft laugh. "If you really didn’t care that much, then why did you run away from home?"
"I didn’t run away because of that. My relationship with my mother was already a mess. I lost count of how many times I secretly ran away as a kid. That incident itself wasn’t a huge deal, but it was the fuse. The real reason I exploded was because my mother sided with Bai Wan and Si Yang. From then on, I was completely done with that family. I decided to leave the clan territory and venture out on my own. At least that way, I wouldn’t have to see those wretched people and deal with their wretched problems every day."
"Sounds like your family life isn’t so great."
"Gaining a stepfather was like gaining a whole new set of parents. There was no place left for me in that home."
"Young Master, care to share a drink under the moon? To drown your sorrows?" Sang Luo produced a jar of Spiritual Wine.
Si Ye chuckled. "I’m afraid this little jar of yours won’t be enough for me."
"I’ve got plenty more. Enough for you to drink your fill, I promise." Sang Luo pulled another jar of fragrant Spiritual Wine out of her storage space. She had originally intended to use cups for a relaxing, leisurely drink.
Si Ye, however, simply lifted the jar and took a swig.
Using small cups now seemed a bit paltry, so she tossed them aside as well.
While the two were getting tipsy, the calls of servants drifted up from below. Si Ye teleported back to the courtyard with Sang Luo in tow and saw a servant bringing over a chest of precious items, sent by the Clan Leader.
After the servant left, Si Ye didn’t even spare the case a glance, instead pushing it toward Sang Luo. "See anything you like? Go ahead and take it. They’re considered treasures, more or less."
Sang Luo wouldn’t accept. "The Clan Leader sent these to you. Is this... her way of apologizing?"
"She’s only doing this because of my talent. The Phoenix Clan has been wanting me back. The eldest son she prized so much turned out to be a waste, so she’s unwilling to let go of me and is trying to use these things to entice me to stay."
Sang Luo heard the aversion in his voice. "She is your mother, after all. Do you hate her that much?"
Si Ye pressed his lips together and said in a low voice, "Back then, for her sake, my father married into her family here in the Western Region. But once she had him, she didn’t cherish him. She quickly grew tired of him, took up with other Beast Husbands, and grew increasingly cold toward my father... Later, my father died from severe injuries he sustained because of her, and she didn’t even seem that sad. She even took on many more Concubines. The kind of female I despise most is a heartless, unfaithful, and promiscuous one."
"..."
Si Jing was not a good mother, but she was a responsible Clan Leader. Most of her time was spent on political matters, and she all but completely neglected her second son, Si Ye. When Si Ye was young, his mother’s Main Husband, Ning Feng, and the concubine-fathers would always secretly make things difficult for him.
One time, Si Ye nearly died at Ning Feng’s hands.
Si Ye had tried to go to Si Jing to complain and tell her of his suffering, but his mother never believed him. From that point on, he became completely estranged from her.
Si Ye didn’t want to reminisce about the past and had never mentioned these awful things from his childhood to anyone. But perhaps because he had drunk so much tonight, he was a little drunk, and he found himself telling Sang Luo many of the things that had been weighing on his heart.
「The night deepened.」
Sang Luo led him back to the bedchamber.
Just before she could leave, Si Ye grabbed her, his voice low and languid with exhaustion. "Don’t go tonight. Stay with me."
"Alright, I won’t go. Young Master, after you leave tomorrow, what are your plans?" Sang Luo sat back down on the edge of the bed.
"Go back to Central, enter seclusion, break through to Emperor Rank, and..." He glanced at her. Perhaps it was the flush of the wine, but his handsome face was even redder, looking utterly captivating.
Sang Luo took his hand, nodding eagerly. "I know. You want to have a baby with me, right?"
"Mmm..." Si Ye hummed softly, seeming a little dazed.
"No time like the present. Let’s do it tonight. The sooner we conceive a little one, the sooner the Young Master can go into seclusion with peace of mind," Sang Luo said with a grin, reaching for his clothes.
The motion jolted Si Ye, and the daze of the alcohol vanished in an instant. He quickly grabbed her hand to stop her, his face red as he stammered, "N-Not yet. We’re not married. It wouldn’t be right... It’s improper!"
’Sang Luo was getting anxious, practically dying of it! This was the first time she’d ever met someone who cared so much about propriety. When the mood strikes, shouldn’t you just get down to business?’
Sang Luo couldn’t wait any longer. "No, it has to be tonight!"
’Everything was ready. She’d even drugged the wine. All that was left was this final step.’
Sang Luo pushed Si Ye down onto the bed and began removing their clothes.
"Luo..." Si Ye’s breathing grew heavy, his gaze growing hazy. His voice was incredibly low and husky. "Are you... serious about this? Do you really want to... with me..."
She answered him with a kiss.
The next moment, Si Ye flipped her over, pinning her beneath him. His scorching lips crashed onto hers in a dominant, plundering kiss that sought to claim her completely.
...
The spring night was all too short, yet filled with enchanting passion.
In the morning, Sang Luo lay sleeping soundly in Si Ye’s arms.
Si Ye gently caressed her flushed cheeks, an indescribable pleasure filling his body and soul. A hint of sweet shyness flickered in his eyes. ’So... this is what it feels like to make love with a female. Once you get a taste, you just want more.’ He longed to take more from her, yet he was afraid of disturbing her peaceful sleep.
When Sang Luo woke up, her body ached with exhaustion. She had to eat a few Beast Crystals just to recover most of her energy.
’Young men really are bursting with energy.’ Si Ye hadn’t seemed tired at all the entire night. She could hardly withstand his inexperienced, forceful passion. It was an agonizing pleasure she couldn’t break away from. Finally, when she truly couldn’t take any more and begged him to stop, Si Ye had reluctantly let her go.
A short while after waking up, Sang Luo felt ravenously hungry.
