But drawing from previous experience, Chen Gu didn't focus his gaze on the large net this time, but on that specific opening.

The opening immediately burst into flames. The intense fire clearly discomforted the spider-like behemoth, and its control over the net faltered.

The net swung wildly. As the massive tendril bit down, it missed its mark, scraping past Chen Jixian's side.

But the crisis was far from over. The tendril twisted, and the barbed tongue within its ring-shaped mouth shot out with a WHOOSH.
