Chapter 208: All Eyes On Frosty (part 1)

Archie stood at the entrance of the venue, the light above casting a dull glow on his sharp features. His eyes swept across the crowd, scanning every face. The place was loud, filled with chatter and movement, but his focus cut through it all. He wasn’t here for the noise. He was here for one person.

But the silver-haired boy he had been hoping to spot wasn’t immediately in sight.

Instead, his gaze caught someone else, his little brother, Russell, standing off to the side with a group.

Before he could take a step, someone stopped beside him.

"Hey, Captain," Zian said, breathless from catching up. "What are you looking at?" He followed Archie’s line of sight, then grinned. "Oh, isn’t that Russell and Elly? Who are those people besides them?"

Archie didn’t answer him. His jaw clenched, the muscle in his cheek ticking slightly. His green eyes locked onto the tall boy beside Russell, Darcy. And standing just a little behind him, cap pulled low and face mostly hidden behind a simple black mask, was Micah.

His expression twisted in irritation. The memory of their little stunt, how the two fooled him, boiled up in his chest again. He forced the feeling down, but his brows stayed drawn low.

Zian watched him for a second, frowning as he glanced between his captain and the crowd. "Hey, buddy! Who has offended you this time?"

Archie let out a sharp breath through his nose, straightening his shoulders. His face smoothed into something calmer, more neutral, but the edge in his eyes didn’t disappear. It didn’t matter. Not today. Micah had to come to his team.

It was a good thing that the bet was spread. He had let his teammates leak that ShadowSlayer was his alt account. Now everyone knew he had won the bet.

A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he stepped. Behind him, his teammates followed him without needing to be told. Their black and silver jackets caught the light, the SilverBlade Legion crest glinting with each step.

The crowd around them began to stir.

"Hey, isn’t that SilverBlade Legion?"

"They are! That’s their captain right in front."

"This year’s gonna be wild."

"Why?"

"You seriously don’t know? Their rival, BlackEagle, is here too."

"No way! The same BlackEagle that beat them two months ago?"

"Yeah. That one."

"Holy shit, this is gonna be epic!"

The chatter spread like wildfire, a wave of voices following their every move.

Archie ignored their whispers and strode toward Russell’s group, eyes locked on Micah.

It was Elly who noticed first. She turned toward them. "Hey, captain!" she called, her voice cheerful, her eyes flicking between Archie and Micah playfully.

Russell turned next. "Big brother." freewebnøvel.coɱ

Micah turned too, sharply like he was ready to lash out before thinking. But he stopped himself the moment he saw just how many people were looking in their direction. Aside from spectators, several of Archie’s teammates stood around him too.

He remembered his goal for today, drew in a breath, and bit back the string of curses on his tongue.

Micah stepped closer to Darcy, hoping his presence would remind himself not to lose his temper.

Archie watched all his movements. His lips curled into a smirk. "Hey, I see all of you gathered here. Come on, let’s go to our section."

Elly, Russell, and Flinn followed him, but Micah and Darcy stayed where they were.

Archie stopped and turned toward them, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Why aren’t you moving?" he asked, his voice carrying a darker edge.

Micah opened his mouth. He was ready to argue. To tell Archie that he never agreed to that stupid bet. But before the words came out, Darcy walked past him.

Micah’s heart jumped, stomach twisting. His eyes widened slightly as he watched Darcy walk toward Archie, his expression unreadable. What was Darcy gonna do?

Darcy paused, glancing back at him. "Micah?"

Micah didn’t answer. His eyes searched Darcy’s face, trying to read it. Was he really going to follow Archie? Just like that?

Micah looked at Darcy questioningly.

Darcy chuckled and shook his head lightly. Then he reached out and grabbed Micah’s wrist casually.

"Come," he said, tugging gently. "You don’t want to have a fight in here, right? Look around you. We are being watched like some exotic animals in the zoo."

Micah let out a small noise, a hum of agreement but it sounded reluctant. Still, he followed.

As they walked together, Archie watched all their interaction with a dark expression. His hands were tucked in his jacket pockets, but his shoulders were tense.

Elly nudged Russell. "Wow!" she whispered. "First-class drama! I’m so glad I came today."

Russell’s eyelids twitched. He was anxious that a fight could break out at any second, instead, Elly was enjoying it.

Meanwhile, Zian leaned close to his girlfriend, Lulu, his voice low. "Why does Captain’s expression turn so scary?!"

Lulu gave him a look, the kind that screamed Seriously? Are you still not getting this?

After all this time, this potato head still had not figured out. Their captain wasn’t just obsessed with the Frosty account. He was obsessed with the person behind it.

The first time Lulu saw his picture, she was honestly surprised. The guy really had silver hair, the expensive, high-maintenance kind. Definitely not cheap. It was apparent he was loaded.

But the real mystery wasn’t his hair or his background. It was why Archie was so fixated on him. At first, she thought it had something to do with DarkVyne. Maybe Archie wanted to get to him using the silver-haired boy.

But after a while, their captain stopped talking about DarkVyne altogether.

Instead, he started spending more time playing with the silver-haired boy, on his alt, no less.

Lulu had put the pieces together a while ago. Their captain’s interest had nothing to do with ranks or strategy anymore. This wasn’t about gaming. This was personal.

Well, of course, Zian, the straight as a ruler and twice as dense, would not get it.

She sighed and patted Zian’s shoulder. "Let’s go. Trust me, you really don’t want to be around if Captain gets any moodier."

Zian tilted his head. "Huh?"

But he followed her, frowning in confusion as they headed toward their private section.
