From Overlord To Multiverse.-Chapter 67 - 66: Black Dragon’s power.
Chapter 67 - 66: Black Dragon's power.
The black dragon beat its colossal wings again, disturbing the air with thunderous gusts that rocked the dungeon city. Buildings trembled, trees bent, and dust filled the sky. Yet none of this chaos touched the white-haired youth standing tall beneath it.
Lioro remained motionless, his body covered by the absolute protection of infinity.
The two figures, one colossal and ancient, the other human and shrouded in mystery, locked eyes. Neither spoke. Silence stretched across the battlefield, tension coiling like a drawn bowstring.
Then, in a sudden burst, Lioro pushed off the ground, soaring through the air toward the vast plains outside the city's walls.
Oebd narrowed its single, blood-red eye. It stared long and hard at the fleeing figure, as if trying to decipher a riddle written in flesh and soul.
There was something... off about this human.
Something unsettling.
Something he couldn't quite understand.
It felt like the presence of the gods, but impossibly, it came from a mere mortal.
With a deafening flap of its wings, Oebd followed.
The shockwave of its ascent blasted through the city, forcing soldiers and monsters alike to their knees. The undead forces, however, reacted differently.
They were going crazy.
"Quickly kill the monsters! Then let us go and help our Lord!!!!"
The Night Lich's eyes glowed with a blinding light as he bypassed the Death Knight and rushed to the front, attacking crazily with his spells.
The rest of the undead, bound by loyalty and madness alike, charged in his wake.
On the other hand, the gods excitedly ran towards the wall of the dungeon city.
Meanwhile, within the city, humans gathered their courage. Survivors who had just begun to hope now dared to believe.
The gods quickly arrived at the dungeon city wall, looking at the distance with narrowed eyes.
Hermes, who was carrying a pair of binoculars, silently pulled them out and secretly looked through them to get a better look.
Instantly, the view of Lioro and Oebd standing against each other appeared in his vision.
"A new battle is about to begin," Hermes muttered, licking his lips with a strange glint in his eyes.
At the same time.
Several gods noticed the device.
"Hermes! I want to see too!"
"Hey, hey, don't keep the good things to yourself!"
"Catch him! He's running!"
Chaos ensued as a crowd of divine beings tackled Hermes to the ground, tearing the binoculars from his hands.
Just then, a solemn figure approached.
God of the Sky, Ouranos.
"Oranous save me!", God Hermes shouted in a hurry.
After Goddess Freya and Loki's retreat to the heavens, Oranous had the highest authority in the Dungeon city.
With his white beard flowing with the air, Oranous ignored Herme's plea and silently looked in the distance.
At the same time, he tightly gripped his staff and pointed it forward.
An enormous, translucent screen appeared midair, capturing the confrontation in full clarity.
The gods immediately abandoned Hermes and flocked to the screen like eager children.
Not far behind, Elsa arrived, frost still clinging to her sleeves from the frozen Fire Wolf she'd defeated.
Goddess Hestia stood beside her, breath caught in her throat.
"Black Dragon..." Hestia whispered, her voice hollow with memory and dread.
On the other hand, Elsa stared nervously at Lioro, who was standing alone against such a giant beast.
Lioro.
There he stood, facing such a massive beast.
Then, with a single beat of its wings, the One-Eyed Black Dragon made its move.
It reared its massive head back and let out a roar that cracked the skies. The sound rolled across the plains like thunder.
*Roar*
As if to declare the beginning of their battle.
At once, glowing red spheres of compressed mana materialized across its wings. Seeing no notification popping up, Lioro said silently.
"Racial Skill....."
A volley of death.
Dozens, then hundreds of them, formed in a matter of seconds before launching all at once, speeding toward Lioro like a rain of hellfire.
An inescapable attack. Every angle covered. Every path is blocked.
The attack hit Lioro, completely enveloping his figure.
A massive explosion of red mana engulfed the area. The shockwave flattened nearby terrain. Dust and debris surged skyward.
The gods gasped.
"He didn't even try to dodge..." a voice murmured.
"Did... did he die?" Hephaestus said, unable to hide her confusion.
Did he just die?
So quickly??
Elsa's heart tightened in her chest, her hands clenched so hard her nails dug into her palms.
As the smoke cleared, the ground was revealed, broken, charred, and cratered in all directions.
The source of this c𝐨ntent is freeweɓnovēl.coɱ.
But none of that mattered.
Because there, in the very heart of destruction, stood Lioro. Unharmed.
White hair fluttering. Eyes calm.
Elsa exhaled, relief washing over her.
On the battlefield.
Oebd looked at the unharmed human in confusion.
What happened to its attack?
How could he still be standing?
Lioro raised his hand, glowing with a familiar violet hue.
"10th Tier Magic: Hollow Purple."
In the blink of an eye, several spheres of compressed space and cursed energy formed around him. They spiraled, condensed, and then launched. Several Hollow Purples hurtled toward the dragon's vast frame.
Then, with a wave of his hand, he sent the magic straight at the black dragon's massive body.
Hollow Purple.
It was his favourite and most destructive spell.
An attack of imaginary mass, destroying everything in its path!
It was not something that could be blocked, especially with Oebd's massive size; it was impossible to dodge!
That is why.
When Hollow Purple hit the black dragon.
The scene that took place next stunned Lioro.
Why?
Because of his 10th-tier magic, it simply vanished after colliding with the Oebd's scales.
All the Hollow purples he sent disappeared after making contact.
In confusion, Lioro summoned a frozen lotus, excluding the extreme ice attribute.
"10th Tier magic: Frozen Nirvana Lotus."
He sent it straight at the Oebd.
Seeing the Frozen Nirvana Lltus approaching him, Oebd made an unexpected move.
He rushed straight towards Lioro, completely ignoring the tiny Frozen lotus which hit its black scale before disappearing without a trace.
The next moment, the black dragon raised its massive claw and smashed it straight down on Lioro.
Lioro barely glanced at it.
Infinity would protect him. It always did.
The black dragon's claw approached, enveloping the entire crater he was standing on.
And suddenly.
It seemed as if time had slowed down.
And in this slowly moving world.
Lioro's eyes widened in shock.
Why?
Because he saw something incredible.
Something he didn't think could be possible.
'It bypassed infinity?....'
Not shattered. Not resisted.
But bypassed.
As if it didn't exist.
Oebd's claw.
Cleanly passed through his strongest defense field.
Rushing straight at him.
With the attack mere inches away from his face.
Lioro instinctively raised his arms in defense.
And the next moment.
The dragon claw descended, crashing straight onto the ground and destroying the earth by the sheer power of its terrible physical prowess.
The gods in Orario stared in silence, everyone holding their breaths.
They saw Oebd retract his claw and slowly turn his head above.
Uranos moved the screen to follow.
And there they saw the same white haired boy. Standing in the sky.
Only this time.
He was injured.
Suppressing the pain rushing through his mind, Lioro glanced at his bloodied right arm.
His right arm hung limp, shattered. Bones splintered. Flesh torn.
Had he hesitated.....
The consequences would have been catastrophic.
He gritted his teeth and focused.
'Reverse Cursed Technique.'
Tendrils of reverse-cursed energy spiraled around the arm. Bone snapped into place. Muscle knit together. Skin reformed.
In seconds, the arm was whole again.
Twisting his wrist, Lioro looked down at the black dragon who was rushing straight at him with his mouth open.
The space around Lioro flickered before he disappeared from the spot, easily bypassing Oebd's attack.
Looking at the dragon flying in the sky, Lioro finally understood.
"Tier 10 magic immunity."
The reason the dragon could bypass his magic and infinity was because of tier 10 magic immunity.
After all, his infinity was considered a tier 10 spell.
And that wasn't all.
The fact that he couldn't even last a moment against the dragon's physical prowess would mean....
"Physical stats..... above level 100."
Or perhaps equal to a Lv 100, yet magnified by racial superiority and sheer size.
"I can understand why Orario lost to you.", Lioro said as he opened up his stat window.
13 million.
That was his total stored experience.
He had planned to first farm skill points then raise his level, for the sake of saving experience.
Genius was a very unique and interesting class.
And after it had reached level 7, Lioro was able to fullfill the requirement of various job classes, especially Median one which required a basic classes as a pre-requisite.
Of course because of the sheer power difference between a high and Intermediate class, he was mostly uninterested in them and generally ignored any prompt he received for a Intermediate class when he touch anyone.
Wheather it be the adventurers in Orario, soldiers in Overlord or the dwarfs in the dwarwen mountain.
In short, if he wanted, he could have acquired their Intermediate or basic classes easily and increase his level.
He didn't do it because it seemed unnecessary.
But now.
He will have to use quantity to beat quality.
Instantly Lioro's experience points started draining.
And the reason?
[Acquired Median class 'Athletic master' Lv 0-> Lv 5]
[Acquired Median class 'Master fencer' Lv 0-> Lv 5]
[Acquired Medin class 'Master Ranger' Lv 0-> Lv 5]
[Acquired Median class 'Master Guard' Lv 0-> Lv 5]
[Acquired Median class 'Master Lancer' Lv 0-> Lv 4]
In mere seconds.
He accepted the physical classes of random people he had met.
Making his level go from 46 to 70.
[Congratulations on reaching Lv 70, you have Acquired 1 Super Skill point and 1 normal skill point.]
The ring on Lioro's finger glowed.
Then the next moment the space behind him broke and the Frost Dragon King's Armour appeared enveloping his body.
Tightly clenching the Frost Dragon King's Shield and sword, Lioro looked silently at the rushing dragon.
Honestly.
He didn't need to fight the Black Dragon now, he could simply go back, farm more exp then return and kill it in a one sided battle.
Unfortunately.
There was just one problem.
He had made a promise.
A promise to Hestia.
A promise of victory.
And he didn't plan to go back before achieving it.
Or atleast before trying his best.
A pair of wings spurted out from the frost Dragon King's Armour.
The dungeon world was weird indeed.....
It was as if everyone here had to go through their own adventure.
And now.
It was his turn.
Raising the shield in front, Lioro felt his rapidly beating heart and said in a calm voice.
"Come, Dragon."
