From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon-Chapter 192: A Terrible Nightmare

Everything around me felt as if it was engulfed by darkness, not a single light was in sight here. It was like some sort of abyss swallowed me up.

Where am I? This has to be some sort of dream right? I don’t think I’d just be here out of nowhere otherwise.

What kind of dream is this anyway? I don’t think a kid like me should be dreaming of weird places like this. Nightmares... Yes, they do exist so maybe that’s what this is.

But isn’t there usually monsters in these nightmares that chase people or try to kill them...

I stood up from my bed and took a quick look around me, nothing seems to be coming towards me in the slightest. It was eeriely quiet around me with nobody else in sight.

"Rokuro why don’t you come forward." Minami’s voice calls out.

Minami is here? She is kind of one of the people that make me feel safe so maybe it is best to go towards her. She’ll be the way I get out of this place.

"Come here. I’m waiting on you." Her voice calls out once more.

Slowly I made my way towards her while keeping an eye out for whatever could be lurking within the shadows. This whole place was engulfed by darkness so it made it hard to see regardless.

But I could just barely see a figure in the distance... It didn’t resemble Minami in the slightest.

A tall figure with a slender frame, skinny arms that go into these sharp looking claws, and it doesn’t seem to have a face... Maybe a mouth at best.

"wHats a mAtter RokuRo?!" The voice starts to break.

I felt myself stumble backwards without being able to see a thing. Stumble! Thud! I fell back onto the floor as I stared ahead at the strange monster before me.

What... What is that thing and why am I seeing it? This is a nightmare... Please wake up. Wake up.

The panic was rising within my body as I continue to stare at the monster in the distance.

Creeek. Crack! It’s limbs began to make all sorts of breaking noises as it starts to walk towards me. Like the bones were breaking with each moment.

Blink. Blink. I try to blink a few times to see if it’ll disappear but it doesn’t. The monster won’t go away. This nightmare is awful... I just want to be taken out of here.

"Don’t worry about the monster Rokuro." A different voice speaks up.

I try to look around for the source of this other voice but don’t see anyone else around here.

They also don’t understand that it isn’t easy for me to just ignore this monster in front of me right now. This thing is walking towards me and I can’t do anything about it.

It is absolutely terrifying... What am I supposed to do here...

BOOOM!!!! An explosion went off out of nowhere and the monster disappeared. It was just me within this dark place now.

No other voices were talking around me, no monsters were here anymore, and I could actually stand tall again.

Breathe in, breathe out. I am okay. This place isn’t so scary if the monsters are gone. I should probably try to find a way out of here somehow.

There’s no reason for me to be standing around doing nothing in a place like this anyway.

I begin to walk forward while keeping an eye out for any sort of monsters that could be lurking within the darkness around me. After awhile I seen to make it to some sort of giant castle.

It was really tall with lots of random holes throughout the walls. But I didn’t let it stop me from going inside since I need a way out of this place.

Inside the giant halls I could see statues and paintings along the walls. They almost look like me but a lot older.

"Who’s here?" A voice questions.

"Uh... I am. Just a kid trying to find my way out of this place." I respond loud enough for the person to hear me.

"Stuck within the abyss, I’ll help you out kid." The person spoke with a calm tone.

I could finally see the person ahead of me sitting on a throne. He is wearing all black robes, has red eyes, slightly longer white hair, and horns on his head.

"Are you some sort of demon....?" I ask with a worried tone in my voice.

He scratches his head before speaking once more. "No. The horns can make someone think that I guess. I’m a human like you, just I have some powers." He answers with a smirk.

He looks a lot like me as well, just older and maybe a bit more tired looking. This is quite a strange interaction for me to be having right now.

"Powers? Does that mean you really can help me get out of here?" I question with some hope in my voice.

"Yes." He answers immediately.

Snap! He snaps his fingers and a small portal seems to appear in front of me. I can see myself laying on my bed sleeping calm and steadily.

"Thank you." I say genuinely before moving towards the portal.

"Of course kid. Try not to get stuck in here again, it can be a scary place." He warns.

Upon hearing those words I quickly go through the portal and everything around me disappears within seconds.

"GASP!!!" I jolted awake, almost like I just lost my breath.

I’m really back... I’m not stuck within that nightmare anymore. I don’t ever want to go back to such a place again. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

I’m still very confused about who that man was though since he looks a lot like me. He wasn’t dad since they look a bit different.

Dad has distinct features and I only get some stuff from him. Ugh. It doesn’t matter anyway, I probably won’t see that guy again. That place should be gone for good now...
