From A Producer To A Global Superstar-Chapter 277: Dae-Seok scene
The scene they were about to take was the same one that had gotten Dae-Seok injured two weeks ago.
Everyone on set was ready. Cameras were already in position. Crew members placed safety foam beside the train, double-checking distances and angles. Equipment was secured in its proper place, and all eyes were on Dayo, waiting for the action command.
But Dayo wasn’t looking at the monitor.
He wasn’t watching the crew either.
His attention was fixed on one person.
Dae-Seok.
Dayo was good at reading body language, and he didn’t need much time to see it. The way Dae-Seok kept shifting left and right. The stiffness in his shoulders. The way his breathing wasn’t steady.
He already knew what was going on.
Dae-Seok wasn’t scared of the stunt itself.
He was scared of what came after.
The injury.
The media.
The headlines.
The questions.
All of it.
A closer look revealed beads of sweat forming on Dae-Seok’s forehead, even though the weather wasn’t that hot.
Then Dayo’s voice cut through the tension.
"Dae-Seok, come here."
Dae-Seok snapped out of his thoughts and looked up. He saw Dayo gesturing for him to come over.
He jogged toward him quickly.
"Yes, Director Dayo. You called?"
Dayo nodded.
"Walk with me."
They moved toward the far end of the train, away from the cameras and crew. The noise faded behind them. For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then Dayo broke the silence.
"What’s wrong?"
Dae-Seok frowned, caught off guard.
"I... I don’t understand, Director Dayo."
Dayo smiled slightly and shook his head.
"I’m sure you do. So tell me. What’s wrong?"
Dae-Seok stayed quiet for a few seconds. Then he took a deep breath, forcing the words out.
"I’m scared, Director Dayo."
Dayo looked at him calmly.
"Scared of what?"
Dae-Seok didn’t answer immediately. Not because he didn’t want to—but because he knew Dayo already understood.
Dayo stepped closer and placed a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Listen, Dae-Seok. It’s normal to be scared. But being scared won’t give you anything."
Dae-Seok swallowed hard.
"I don’t need to remind you that this chance you have now is something you’ve worked for," Dayo continued. "You know what you’ve been through. You know how this industry works. You know how the media is."
Dae-Seok nodded slowly.
"This role," Dayo said, his voice steady, "is your chance to break that cycle. If you play it well, opportunities will come regardless of what’s happening right now."
He paused.
"I’m fighting the system for you. But you have to fight with me."
Dae-Seok’s chest tightened.
"You fell once," Dayo continued. "That doesn’t mean you stay down. Don’t let this turn into something psychological. You are stronger than that."
Dae-Seok clenched his fists.
"Take a deep breath," Dayo said. "Don’t overthink it. You have the speed. You have the control. You have everything it takes."
He looked Dae-Seok straight in the eyes.
"Mistakes happen. Don’t let one mistake destroy your confidence. Don’t let it eat your pride."
Dae-Seok’s eyes wavered slightly.
"You’re scared because of what happened after the injury," Dayo added. "Not because of the stunt. I know."
Dae-Seok nodded.
"But don’t worry about that," Dayo said. "I’m here."
For a moment, Dae-Seok just stood there.
Then he exhaled slowly.
"...Thank you, Director."
His shoulders relaxed. His breathing steadied he felt peace and relief that Dayo understood and talked to him.
Sometimes even wonders if Dayo was some kind of angel in disguise cause he was almost always on spot when he does things he remembers everyone name down to the extras that does the zombie.
With his small experience in the industry he hadn’t seen anyone as calm, passionate and kind as Dayo who achieve his goal not only that he stand up for the weak.
"I really appreciate it a lot Director." Dae-Seok gave a deep bow.
Dayo gave a short nod.
"Good. Let’s go."
They walked back toward the set.
Dayo didn’t need to look twice.
Dae-Seok’s posture had changed.
His steps were firmer. His eyes were focused. The hesitation was gone.
Dayo studied him for a moment, then turned toward the crew.
"Everyone ready?"
"Ready!"
"Camera rolling!"
Dae-Seok took his position.
This was the scene where Dae-Seok sprinted after the moving train after been left behind, desperate, with no second chance.
"Action."
Dae-Seok ran.
His movements were clean. Controlled. Natural.
As he was runnig the zombies were runnig towarss him groaning at him like they want to eat him raw then still on sprit he picked up a baton and shield dropped by a police man in on swiff movement making it look effortless.
And the he hit the zombies out of his was while running.
After clearing the zombies at his front it was now timw for the part were he failed the last time to get on the moving trian.
Although it wasn’t hard but the timming needed to be on spot so as not to slip up like the last time
And
He grabbed the handle, adjusted his footing, and timed the jump perfectly.
No panic.
No hesitation.
He landed inside the train smoothly.
"Cut!" Dayo shouted after a few seconds taken by supries by the swift movement.
The silence lasted half a second.
Then the set erupted.
Claps broke out immediately. Crew members smiled.
"Wow Dae-Seok that was soo cool."
"Nice move there Dae-Seok really smooth."
"Yeah you have to teach me how to do that."
"Hm me to i always miss my bus by seconds thay skill would help me catch up."
the crew surronded Dae-Seok praising him.
Dae-Seok stood there, breathing hard, disbelief flickering across his face.
But his eyes didnt settle on anybody else.but Dayo and gave him a bow he knew that if Dayo hadn’t talked to him he might not have gotten this move.
Dayo watched him quietly and smiled.
This wasn’t just about the scene.
It was about confidence.
And for the first time since the incident—
Dae-Seok looked like himself again.
Dayo clapped his hands and said. "Okay due to how good that worked out there would be no second takes that was perfect."
The whole set paused hearing this suprise was on their face as they knew Dayo was a perfectionist and even if a scene was good je always does it again today was the first time he had done a one time shot this made everybody praise Dae-Seok more.
Dayo smiled at this the reason he did this was to boost Dae-Seok confidence.
And it worked.
"Alright next scene prepare."
