Fortunate to Have You This Lifetime-Chapter 1019: Drowned_1
Chapter 1019: Chapter 1019: Drowned_1
The woman had been spoiled rotten and was completely unreasonable.
The man thought it was time to assert his authority, and wasn’t about to let the woman haggle as he disciplined her.
There wasn’t enough time to let Alexander Summers shine, so he simply delayed the takeoff time. That’s the convenience of a private jet.
Alexander Summers was never satisfied.
After a stormy interlude, they finally calmed down two hours later. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Purple Summers was drenched in sweat, her throat almost hoarse, not sure if from screaming or crying, and she was extremely thirsty.
Alexander handed her water and teased with a chuckle, "Were you trying to drown it just now?"
Drinking, Purple choked, coughing so loudly it shook the heavens, her face turning a brilliant red, "Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough!... Shameless—cough, cough—shameless!"
She wanted to scold more, but she lacked the extra strength.
Alexander was particularly fond of her blushing, annoyed expression, as if teasing Purple was an amusing pastime; after he made her drink water, he held her in his embrace, showering her with kisses and coaxes, and, thinking back to the exquisite pleasure from before, he vaguely felt he could wage another battle.
Unable to endure him, Purple blurted out in desperation, "I’ll get dehydrated!"
Alexander was briefly stunned, then the next moment, he rolled with Purple onto the bed, laughing heartily!
The shy and reserved Purple was now even talking dirty.
He couldn’t stop laughing, his head buried in Purple’s neck, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably.
Purple became angry out of embarrassment, weakly hitting him a few times, truly feeling utterly hopeless inside!
How did she end up marrying such a rogue?
The two played and cavorted around the house, not boarding the plane until late into the night.
Purple was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as she got on the plane, and when they arrived in Kingsley, Alexander woke her up, she immediately threw a tantrum, refusing to take a single step.
Alexander ended up carrying her the entire way, holding her all the way back home.
...
The next day, they received a call from the Presidential Palace, Christopher Simonson invited them over for a meal.
They probably hadn’t seen each other for a while and, coincidentally saw the news about Purple fighting a lawsuit, so he wanted to catch up.
Alexander also wanted to discuss Victoria Morrison with Christopher Simonson, so without any objection, he and Purple went to have dinner together.
When they arrived at the Presidential Palace, the meal was already served, with a full array of both meat and vegetarian dishes, colorful and inviting.
The old lady was also there, her expression wooden, neither happy nor angry, and as usual inscrutable, with an odd demeanor.
"Are things going smoothly at the research institute? Are you getting used to the new house?" During the meal, Christopher Simonson asked Purple.
Purple nodded, "Pretty good."
"I saw the news, you’ve won another lawsuit," Christopher Simonson asked, "are you planning to become a lawyer in the future?"
"Not really, just helping a friend out," Purple replied.
Alexander served her a dish and interjected, "Purple wants to be a prosecutor in the future."
"Is that right," Christopher Simonson was slightly taken aback, looking at Purple, "That’s not bad, you could start as a local prosecutor, work your way up slowly, and become a state prosecutor. You could even get involved in governor elections in the future."
Purple let out a laugh.
"Dad, I haven’t thought that far ahead," Purple said with a smile.
"If you have election plans, you could start preparing from now," Old Master Simonson spoke with a restrained gleam in his eyes, "First build a good reputation, then seize the opportunity. There have been too many mediocre politicians these years, the public needs new faces, Purple has excellent qualifications and it’s worth a try."
Receiving praise from Old Master Simonson was indeed rare.
But Purple felt a bit awkward since she truly had no intention of entering politics and didn’t believe herself to have the knack for it.
Including Christopher Simonson, without the various assistants and advisors arranged by Old Master Simonson, he probably wouldn’t be able to hold his position.
Seeing Purple looking embarrassed, Christopher Simonson changed the subject and asked Alexander, "Have you sorted out your recent business matters?"
On hearing this, Purple couldn’t help but turn to look at Alexander.
What had he been up to lately?
