Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 181: Fort of the Northern Mountains
I assumed that the cool sea breeze of the night was making me shiver. But I was wrong. The icy cold gaze of the Siren Queen is making me shiver!
"You knew this, and you didn’t tell me about it for this long? Do you understand the seriousness of your action?"
"But My Queen! I never thought that things would take such a turn. And I wasn’t entirely sure about this either. This is just my assumption."
"Whatever," she sighed. "If your assumption turns out to be right, I would have to change my whole plans."
"Your plans?" I blinked at her.
"Yes, now it is time for me to work on that. I’ll see you later," she said and vanished from the seashore, leaving me confused. But why did she leave me without telling me about her plans?
I faced the deep blue sea and tried to figure out what she meant by plans. I can sense that she is scheming something to stop Theo from winning Celestia back. It took me a long time to connect all the dots.
After a while, I understood that the Siren Queen was talking about Ivory. She is her plan. Slowly, I recalled how she wept in front of Theo. It was all an act! She manipulated Theo with her tears that he took her with him to the quest.
I foolishly believed her little act! I wondered how I got so gullible. But her act was so convincing this time. Despite being a gifted Siren, I fell for it.
So it is evident now that Ivory is going to sabotage Theo’s quest. How can she do this to him? She claims to be in love with Theo, and she backstabs him?
Ivory has still not changed over the years. She was always very possessive of Theo. When she was Theo’s only lover, she never let any other Siren girl speak with him.
Now the Siren Queen is using her to sabotage Theo’s quest. And she willingly agreed to do it as she is still in love with Theo!
I should probably warn Theo about her. He loves Celestia, and he should reunite with her. This is what I wish to happen!
But I don’t think that I can pursue my wish now. Ivory has the approval of the Siren Queen. If I step in this, then the Queen will punish me!
So am I supposed to do nothing on this? I looked up at the Silver Moon above me and asked her how this is fair!

Theo’s POV:
Samuel took us to his fort that was standing tall in the Northern Mountains. From outside, the monument looked very majestic. I bet that I can see my home Selene Kingdom if I stand on the top of the tower and peek down.
Ivory gaped at the massive monument in front of her. She then turned to Samuel and asked him, "How did you even build this thing?"
Samuel beamed at her and replied, "I had to break down a little hill to make this fort. But it was totally worth it! I now live in a monument that is taller than the castle of Highlands."
Lucky man! Once I become the King, I will build a castle just for Celestia and me alone.
The interior of the fort was completely painted in purple. I don’t understand his obsession with the color purple. I get that it represents the Perspicacious Fae house. But that doesn’t mean that he has to splash that color everywhere!
At the lower regions of the fort, there were a lot of young Perspicacious Faes. They all were wearing purple robes that had the needlework of a crystal ball in them.
"I never thought that you had these many children," I mocked Samuel, who was leading Ivory and me to the staircase.
"They are not my children, Your Highness! I am just training the young Perspicacious Faes in my fort." Even though he addressed me with respect, bitterness was evident in his tone.
"But you are the Fae Lord! Why do you have to do this?" Ivory questioned him.
"Pretty Lady! I am the Fae Lord, and it is my responsibility to make sure that the young generation uses their powers up to their potential. So I personally train them under my supervision," he announced.
I realized that if Samuel had been the King instead of lame Oberon, then the side of light would have never gotten weak in the first place.

Samuel took us to a chamber that was in the middle portion of the fort. The atmosphere was very cold here. I have heard before that the Northern mountains are cool but never expected it to be this freezing.
Ivory, who was wearing just a sleeveless short gown, trembled more than me. But Samuel didn’t seem to mind the freezing weather. When he glanced at us both, he sensed that we both were uncomfortable.
Then he immediately opened a large cupboard with a brown door that was next to the window of the chamber and took out a couple of blankets that seemed to be made up of animal fur.
"Here you go, my children," he said and gave a plain grey blanket to me and a brown-furred blanket to Ivory.
I was offended by the way he called me his child. But I am going to act as his child in the upcoming days. So I let the insult slide.
I was able to feel my bones only after I wrapped myself with the blanket. Even though my blanket wasn’t made of animal fur like Ivory’s, I still felt warmth.
Now I get why Celestia found the Southern regions of the Lowlands hot. After living in a temperature like this, it is impossible to live in a humid place. Perhaps I should build a castle here for her sake. I don’t want her to suffer in the humidity again!
"Your Highness, I am sorry about not giving you a heads up about the weather. If you both are still cold, then I will ask my maids to bring you a hot beverage. We Northerners make the best Tea in all three realms."
"Tea?! I was hoping that you would offer us Firewater."
