Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 174: My two favourite girls
I know that Darius said those things just to comfort me. Instead, I got even more anxious than I was before.
"But I am the Dawn! I am supposed to protect my people. Now you say that I should rely on my people to protect me?"
"Yes! It would be best if you relied on others until you bring out your powers. Once you become the Dawn, you will be unstoppable."
I was still not unsure about this whole thing. Ever since I was a kid, all I felt was thirst and blood lust. I really thought that I was just a Half-Vampire.
Never once was I able to feel my sparks. Even now, I am unable to feel the gush of energy that used to flow throughout my veins. I have zero confidence that I could even be able to bring out a faint spark from my hands if I try now.
An entire realm is depending on me to save them from the Shadow creatures. On top of that, I am going to be crowned as a princess, which I don’t even deserve. And a trickster is trying to get me sooner or later, and I can’t even defend myself when that happens.
I don’t think that I could have any more problems than this!

Theo’s POV:
When I let Tangerine out of her cage, I was scared that she would run out of the window. But she didn’t do such a thing. She had her yellow claws on my shoulder, and she quietly watched me while I was going through Amelia’s bookshelf that was in the corner of her living room.
She seemed to have even more books than Cynthia! I don’t understand why these gifted Siren girls are book worms.
Most of the books had the fragrance of the old parchments. But the shelf was clean, and all the books in them were arranged in the modern alphabetical order.
I scanned the shelf and tried to find out a book was related to the Dead rocks. But there was nothing related to it on the whole shelf.
I sighed to myself and cursed Oberon and his shrewdness. He doesn’t want anyone else to know about the dead rocks except for himself! He has completely concealed the information about the dead rocks. And he also forbids others from using it!
My assumption is that they can do more than just draining out energy from the living entities. One can resist the negative energy from the dead rock and use it according to his will.
If I am successful in doing this, then I can enter inside the castle of Highland in disguise. No one will be able to sense my presence. The only challenge here is that there are no manuscripts here to prove my assumptions.
I don’t need them anyway. It is not always necessary to do something by referring to a rule book. If I had gone by logic, then I would have never gotten this far!
I was so consumed in my thoughts that I didn’t notice that Tangerine had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I took her gently in my hands and placed her back in her cage.
At that moment, white mist appeared in the living room, and my two favorite girls appeared out of it.
Ivory had bought a small piece of the dead rock just like I had asked. But Amelia had a large size of glossy grey stone in her hand.
"My girls, why have you bought this much quantity? This much is completely unnecessary! A little piece would have done the deed," I sighed out.
This is not good! Now the lame King Oberon will get to know that someone stole the dead rocks. What if he figures out my plan? But I don’t think that he is smart enough to figure out my actual plan.
Amelia placed the dead rock on the wooden table next to her and turned to my side. "We both are not thieves like you, and still, we both stole this for your sake. Just be grateful that we did what you said!"
Why is she rude to me? I glanced at Ivory, and she didn’t seem to be happy either.
"Ivory, dear! Tell me what happened in the Northern mountains? Was it too difficult to pick up a rock from the mountains and teleport back here?"
"What you made us do is treason!" Ivory began to rage at me like a wild Manticore. "The Siren Queen is going to throw us in the sea if she comes to know about this."
I chuckled out and replied, "You don’t have to worry about that, Ivory. I will not let anything happen to my two favorite girls.
"Stop lying! We all know that we both mean nothing to you. Celestia is your most favorite girl. You would do anything for her, even if it means that you have to give your damn life." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
After she yelled at me, she threw the little shiny grey rock in my direction. I caught the rock in my hand just before it was about to fall.
As soon as the rock touched my skin, I found myself devoid of power. This rock had just sucked me out entirely! I tried hard to awaken the Anti-Angel in me. A tiny rock can’t sustain the forces of Nephilim!
Soon, my palms started to glisten with my flames. Surprisingly, my silver flames had a faint tint of red in them. This is amazing! Till now, I struggled hard to combine my Fae and Nephilim powers. Now I found a way to do this. It looks like the dead rocks were the answer to all my questions!
Ivory was gazing at my flames in terror. "Why does your silver flame have a glint of red in it?"
I smiled at her and put off the flames from my palm. "They are my Nephilim powers. But what you saw now was nothing! This dead rock had suppressed most of its intensity. Usually, my palms glow bright red whenever I unleash them entirely."
Ivory got stunned as this is the first time she sees the Nephilim side of me.
