Chapter 138: Mark of Nephilim

Celestia’s POV:

"I know where we will get our answers," Ivory squealed out. " In our Selene Kingdom, we have a lot of scriptures about the Enochian language and its symbols. Theo used to steal the scriptures from the Shadow Realms, and he has them in the crystal castle library."

Cynthia blinked at her skeptically. " Is it so? I wasn’t even aware of that."

"Well, Theo didn’t want you to know about it. So he did this all without your knowledge," Ivory mumbled.

Cynthia shook her head in disappointment. " I wonder what else he did behind my back."

It looks like Theo has always been a rebel! Even though he does it for good causes, his pathway is always tainted.

"We might get our answers if we go back to our kingdom. But Ivory, have you forgotten that Lilin has conquered our kingdom?"

"I am sorry, your grace," Ivory apologized to Cynthia. " I forgot that we don’t have our kingdom anymore."

Cynthia got bleak after that. She then looked at me and asked, " Do you know anyone who is well known about this language and symbols?"

"No," I responded.

This is an Enochian language! My father raised me by telling me how dangerous it is to get involved with the Dark arts.

Everyone in the Celestial realm is terrified of this language. In the beginning, I was scared of Theo when I came to know that he is fluent in the Demonic tongue. My apprehension stopped after I saw how he controlled both the forces equally.

Then it flashed me! Lord Arcadia has openly admitted to having a knowledge of the Dark Arts. He even has various spell books related to it in his artifacts room downstairs.

Cynthia lifted her arched-shaped eyebrows as she went through my thoughts. "So Lord Arcadia can tell us what symbol this is?"

I nodded slowly and asserted, " I guess so!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the little discussion on the roof, Cynthia, Ivory, and I went down to the Mage Lord Arcadia’s chamber. He probably has a little knowledge about the dark arts. When I was in the artifacts room below, I even found some grimoire related to the Enochian language.
Only he will be able to help us with the symbol! But I really hope that it is not a Demonic symbol! I don’t think that anything good will happen if it is drawn on the skin.
Lord Arcadia was still in half sleep when he saw us standing outside his door. His reddish-brown hair was frizzy now, and he was wearing a simple plain cloak. Still, he greeted us all warmly.
His chamber looked clean and highly decorated, but it smelled like firewater. Arcadia must have been drinking here. I immediately glanced at both the Sirens. Even they didn’t seem to be comfortable with the aroma of this room.
"My Queen, I am so honored to have you all here," he bowed down to Cynthia and said.
Lord Arcadia was doing it again! He always acts weird when Cynthia is around. Either Arcadia is a pervert, or maybe it is not possible for any man to resist the charms of a gifted Siren!
"How is your knowledge about the symbols?" Cynthia asked him directly.
"I know about all kinds of symbols widely," Arcadia smiled at her in a creepy way. " You know, I am a freak of architecture, and sometimes I create a design based on the symbols as patterns and-"
"Lord Arcadia," Cynthia shouted and made him stop babbling. "Can you please tell me what the symbol which has a chalice and an X mark represents?"
Arcadia shook his head and said," I am sorry, my Queen. The details are not precise. But if you draw the symbol with a quill, I might be able to help you."
Cynthia then turned to me. " Can you be able to do that?"
"I guess so," I responded.
Arcadia took a quill and parchment from his desk and gave it to me. I drew the symbols on the parchment with the black ink from the quill.
"This is the symbol," I said and showed it to Arcadia. " But it was blue in color!"
Arcadia’s face was ashen as he saw the parchment. " This is... this is...." He wasn’t even able to speak normally.
"What is it?" Cynthia persuaded him.
"It is the Mark of Nephilim," he pronounced.
I dropped the quill that was in my hand on the floor in shock. Ivory was right. It is a Demonic symbol!
"This chalice and X represents the power of creation. And the V which below represents the duality," Arcadia explained.
"What does it mean when someone has this symbol on their skin?" Cynthia raised a question.
"Who has this symbol on them?" he cried out. " If someone has the mark of Nephilim on them, then they are dangerous to be around."
My heart was filled with dread as I heard his explanation. So Theo is dangerous now?!
"Can.. can you please elaborate about it?" I asked him nervously.
"Sure, your grace," he said and began with his justification. "It is quite impossible for any entity to contact the Anti-Angeles who are in the abyss of torment now because the Anti-Angeles are hard to impress in general. They don’t answer to the unworthy and weak summoners. But when someone worthy performs a ritual, the Nephilim clan immediately aids them and marks them with this symbol!"
So the Nephilim clan has marked Theo?!! This can’t be good! Why did he not say anything about this to me when we were in the dungeon?
"What happens to the person who gets marked?" Ivory asked him.
Arcadia got pale again. " They get the powers of the Nephilim!"
I was more terrified than I was a while ago. Why would Theo perform such a ritual? I know that he is an Angelic Demon! He has told me many times that he wants to control both the light and dark forces.
But Nephilim are Anti-Angels! If he gets their powers and side with them, then he would be consumed by the darkness completely.
