Chapter 948: 520

There was a clear difference, and if there were no clear differences between several options, that would be troublesome, as one could easily become ill, get caught in indecision, and eventually miss all the options.

Radiad appeared distraught, saying painfully, "It won’t work. If we reconsider the design approach, we might not have enough time. If it fails, and we use up the materials, we won’t be able to do another. What should I do? Unless I redo the other materials as well, what should I do, what should I do?"

Anthony, half-amused, half-frustrated, said, "What do you mean, ’what should I do’? You talk as if all this stuff belongs to you; it doesn’t belong to you, so it’s not for you to decide."

Radiad’s expression stiffened, he blinked his eyes and sighed deeply, "Right, they aren’t mine, so it’s not for me to choose. That settles it, then."

Anthony smiled and said, "What if I prepare two sets of these materials for you and gather the rest of your materials, would you be able to release the Undead King then?"

Radiad stiffened, looking at Anthony incredulously, "Are you joking?"

It did seem like a joke, and Anthony too felt it was too frivolous, gave a wry laugh, and was about to change the subject when Radiad said, "It’s not impossible, but the others definitely wouldn’t agree, unless you can get more than seven of the twelve council members to agree, along with a pivotal vote from the second Annihilation Warlock, then it would be possible."

The others in Negris glanced at each other.

Radiad hurriedly added, "It’s not impossible. Each member of the council has different views about the Undead King. Not everyone agrees with the decision to eliminate the Undead King."

"Uh, why?" Anthony asked curiously.

"Ah? Why? Because the Undead Empire has allowed people to live and work in peace and contentment, and to develop peacefully. For the past thousand years, there hasn’t even been a major war on the surface. With the Undead around, the world above has become much more peaceful than before," Radiad explained matter-of-factly.

After finishing, he complained, "The Undead King has been trapped for over half a year now, and countless people have already died above ground, not to mention the outbreaks of food, economic, and energy crises. It’s forced us to come down and deal with these messes. Such chaos."

Anthony nodded, now believing that the council’s views towards the Monarch differed, with Radiad clearly being one of the dissenters.

"You have a second Annihilation Warlock? Isn’t there only one?" Anthony continued to inquire.

Radiad’s mouth moved, but before he could make a sound, he suddenly gasped, clamped his mouth shut, and took a deep breath before saying, "I almost let you trick information out of me, you’re too cunning, always setting traps with seemingly simple questions. I’m not talking to you anymore."

Startled, Anthony paused; he hadn’t set any traps. However, Radiad’s intense reaction made him gasp in shock, and he exclaimed, "Resurrection, resurrection? You want to resurrect an Annihilation Warlock, don’t you? You want to bring back another Annihilation Warlock, right?"

Radiad’s expression changed drastically, he bit his lip ferociously, as a surge of vitality rapidly drained from his body. It seemed Anthony had guessed correctly; Radiad wanted to flee.

No wonder Radiad was so confident; like a silver coin, he had divine protection—ready to give up his current body to preserve his soul and retreat.

Unfortunately for him, he encountered Ange with his array of bizarre abilities. Just then, Ange waved his hand.
