Chapter 933: Chapter 512 Titan Said They Went Back

In the sky, two dragon souls were flying and conversing, becoming more familiar with each other after a bit of bickering.

Griffin had already seen the petrified giant dragon and confirmed that it was an ancient black dragon several thousand years old, and she even knew the name of this black dragon.

“Graham, the most brutal black dragon, it hates the undead, attacking the empire’s public cemeteries daily, and was captured by Your Majesty,” Griffin said.

She paused, still somewhat disbelieving, and asked, “Such a complete body, are you really giving it to me?”

“The lord said so, he wants to find a soul that can drive such a form, your soul strength is enough, it depends on whether the lord is willing to give it to you,” Abuke said.

Griffin furrowed her brow, somewhat reluctantly, “This body belongs to you, why does it matter if they are willing? Don’t you just have to agree?”

Looking at her as if she were a child, Abuke said, “If you had been beaten up, you wouldn’t say that.”

“They’re very powerful?” Griffin asked in confusion. Having had such a brief interaction, she was unable to gauge how formidable Ange and the others were, especially since two of them had a faint aura of light about them, which made her quite uncomfortable.

Abuke laughed but did not explain, instead tempting, “Wait until you get beaten up and you’ll know. Want to try when we go back?”

Griffin was somewhat tempted. She was no fool and knew that to obtain something so precious, she had to offer something of equal or even greater value.

What in the world could be worth an entire, mature giant dragon’s body?

But no matter what the others wanted, strength was crucial; otherwise, even if she gave it to them, they wouldn’t be able to defend it. So it was necessary to gauge the other party’s strength and see who would end up beating whom.

Thinking this, Griffin said, “Alright, let’s try it. When we go back, I’ll provoke them with words and see who ends up beating whom.”

Unfortunately, Lightning wasn’t here, otherwise, they could have seen what the consequences of verbal provocation were.

However, not long after she spoke, Griffin’s soul quivered in shock as she gazed toward the distant horizon, where suddenly, a tornado descended out of place, slowly beginning to coil up a mass of dark clouds.

From such a great distance, the dark cloud only covered a very small area, but that was exactly why Griffin was shocked, for it meant the tornado and dark clouds were man-made.

“No good, it’s the location of the Dragon Tomb, someone is casting a forbidden spell!” Griffin shouted urgently, as their dragon souls immediately accelerated to their utmost, streaking like meteors toward the far horizon.

By the time the two of them arrived at the Dragon Tomb, the celestial phenomena had intensified to the point of thunder and lightning, with terrifying winds, water and thunder elements mixed together as if about to explode at any moment.

Griffin felt like she was suffocating and didn’t wish to fly further forward. She had the impulse to turn around and run, but her kin and children were in the Dragon Tomb Valley. Despite her desire to flee, she continued flying forward, lowering her altitude increasingly more, almost skimming along the ridge as she flew into the valley.

Who on earth had she provoked? Who would venture into her territory to cast a forbidden spell? Completely baffled, Griffin finally saw the source of all the elements. Ange was walking right into the center of the altar, stretching out his hand to pull out something.

Just like Griffin, Ange and his companions were bewildered. They attempted to attract thunder through the storm, only to find that “they won’t come down.”

Enraged, Negris felt like smashing Ange’s skull in, “Just because they won’t come down, you keep casting and casting, until it turns into this intensity? It’s good they don’t come down; if they did, they’d blast your head off!”

They had only intended to draw a few bolts of lightning to activate the altar, but this foolish skeleton kept casting, and when lightning didn’t strike, he cast even more. A small storm was stirred into a fierce one, and by the time Negris noticed, it was too late.

The energy contained within this storm made Negris’s heart pound; if it were to be released, wouldn’t the valley be blown to smithereens?

Looking around, the houses of the Dragon Tomb residents were scattered across the valley, the nearest less than a hundred meters from here. If the lightning’s strike were to deviate and kill a bunch of the residents, Nevin would surely hate them.

“If you can’t draw them down, then find a way to release them, and don’t let them strike people. Even if they don’t hit people, striking those flowers, plants, and crops isn’t good either,” Negris said helplessly.

“Oh.” Ange responded and walked toward the center of the sacrificial altar, reaching into the dimensional space to pull out a golden yellow book.

Seeing Ange take out its physical form, Negris immediately had a bad feeling. “What are you trying to do? Don’t mess around.”

Ange tossed the Bronze Book into the center of the altar.

Immediately, Negris opened the pages of the book and, flapping them desperately, tried to fly out while shouting, “What are you trying to do? Stay away from me!”

Ange cast a beam of light, which landed on the Bronze Book—Peace Guardian.

A semi-transparent barrier expanded from the center of the Bronze Book, and the light at the same time dragged Ange into the barrier. Just as he steadied himself, Ange reached into another place, this time the Resting Camp.

With a swift pull, he drew out a ‘metal spike spear’.

“The metal spike spear from the Underwater Titan City?” Negris recognized it at a glance.

The metal spike spear was six to seven meters long, and got stuck after pulling out just over a meter. Ange pulled forcefully, tug after tug, until finally he managed to extract it completely.

Fortunately, it was made of iron and of special material; otherwise, it would probably have been snapped by the force of the space and Ange combined.

As soon as the metal spike spear emerged, the thunderstorm lightning that had been brewing in the dark clouds seemed to have found an outlet, thundering down like rain, striking the barrier.

The barrier withstood for five seconds, with at least thirty bolts of lightning striking it. This astronomical level of lightning was nothing like the small sparks cast by wizards; it was not at all on the same level.

In five seconds, just enough time for Ange to fully extract the metal spike spear and stab it into the ground, his hands didn’t even have time to let go.

As the barrier shattered, the remaining lightning struck the metal spike spear, coursing into Ange’s body.

Boom! With the first strike, Ange’s body charred, his hair standing on end, and the wings on his back burst out with a swish.

The second bolt of lightning fell, Ange’s body began to smoke, the standing hair vaporized, turning him bald, and the tips of the wings on his back released some fine electrical sparks.

With the third bolt, Ange’s body turned to ash, scattering to reveal the skeleton beneath, while at the same time the wings on his back grew brighter.

With the fourth, fifth, and sixth bolts, lightning kept thundering down incessantly, making the point of impact brightly lit and obliterating Ange’s silhouette.

After a full thirty bolts of electricity fell, the energy stored in the dark clouds was finally completely released. Durken and Anthony anxiously looked toward the center of the altar, while the Little Angel and the Little Zombie were too impatient and rushed over.

Despite the total of sixty bolts of lightning striking, it didn’t actually take very long, just a dozen seconds or so. Anthony and the others didn’t even have time to react, let alone know how to begin saving someone.

In the center of the altar, the long metal spike spear was gone, leaving only a white skeleton with wings, crouching there, clutching tightly to a ball of thunder.

“Your Majesty, Your Majesty? Are you okay?”

The white skeleton cocked its head and opened its mouth, clacking something, but with its flesh vaporized, it produced no sound.

Ange soon realized this and, using his soul, spoke, “I heard that the Titans said they have returned.”
