Chapter 101:

At the end of the finals, in a rare occurrence, the entire division was quite satisfied.

After being beaten twice in a row, NSN’s fans could already see the actual disparity between the two teams and they were already able to adjust their state of mind before the third game. NSN had already won tickets to the World Championships early on and winning or losing in the finals wouldn’t affect their journey this season. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing for the team to accept some setbacks early on to consolidate their experiences and lessons before the World Championship. Fans greeted Free’s match point game with the idea that their team would already lose; the win was no longer theirs to lose. It came as a completely pleasant surprise that they would bear witness to this season’s most intense game. The rarest thing was that NSN faced the third game without the slightest timidity. Wawa has completely broken free of his emotional entanglement. NSN hadn’t been afraid that their opponent would defeat them at their best frontal combat. From start to end, they were honorable even in defeat.

There was no need to mention how happy Free’s fans were. The club won the division championship in the first year of its establishment. That feat in itself that broken records. They bagged the championship and each of their four players were each stronger than last. The legendary players created a legend once again. Fans also received glory. The fans began to edit all sorts of highlights from the third game, posting them like crazy on all of the social networking sites. The fans grew more and more confident about Free’s World Championships journey.

At the venue, the activities after the finals lasted two hours — receiving awards, interviews and press conferences… The players were so hungry that chests were sticking to their backs.

The activities the teams had to undergo were all finished. Only Yu Sui, as the captain, needed to accept a separate interview. Officials approached the Free team and smiled politely to Yu Sui. “Whisper, please wait a minute. We have to have a more or less 15-minute one on one interview. We have reporters from several media outlets especially here for you. Please bear with it for a bit longer.”

Yu Sui usually doesn’t like showing up to or doing any kind of media activities. The media could only do it the conventional way and wait after the competition. Zhou Huo repeatedly agreed and invited the others to go to the lounge first. When Zhou Huo saw that Shi Luo seemed a little bit dazed, he said, “Is it low blood sugar? We’ve got some nuts and biscuits. Do you want any? Bear with it for a while and we’ll go once Yu Sui is finished.”

Yu Sui took the championship medal from his neck and handed it to Zhou Huo together with his team uniform jacket. He spread his arms and allowed the staff to rig him up with microphones. Hearing this, he turned his head and looked at Shi Luo. “Feeling dizzy? Can you still hold it? ”

All the staff in the interview area, one by one, followed Yu Sui to look at Shi Luo.

Shi Luo suddenly became the center of attention. Shi Luo’s heart started to beat somewhat faster. He used his eyes to tell Yu Sui not to be so high-profile. He shook his head. “I’m not dizzy. It’s nothing.”

Yu Sui straightened the mic around his collar. “If you can bear with it, don’t go to the lounge and just wait for me.”

Puppy whistled a tune from the side and pulled Chen Huo along to the lounge. Zhou Huo held back a smile and handed Yu Sui’s medal and jacket to Shi Luo for him to hold on to for Yu Sui. Zhou Huo himself then went to the lounge.

Chen Huo looked back, completely puzzled and as he walked, he said to Old Qiao, ridiculing Yu Sui, “What’s wrong with Yu Sui’s head? Does he have to have someone there to hold his clothes while he’s having an interview? Does he think he’s some high school student? When playing basketball, he has to have his girlfriend hold his clothes?”

Chen Huo’s voice was too loud and the fans who were still filming everyone not far away laughed loudly. Shi Luo turned his head and glared at Chen Huo. His ears were slightly red but he still held on to Yu Sui’s trophy and jacket. Leaning against the wall next to the interview area, he obediently waited.

The interview hadn’t started yet. Free’s fans in the distance kept taking pictures of Shi Luo. They murmured and laughed, discussing something Shi Luo couldn’t quite hear.

Shi Luo hung Yu Sui’s medal around his neck as well. Now wearing two medals, he hung Yu Sui’s coat on his arm and freed his hands to take out his phone and have a look.

Shi Luo wanted to post on Weibo, but the fans were too close. Afraid that the fans’ cameras would be too high-definition, Shi Luo thought about it and decided against opening Weibo.

After the match, they had interviews. Although Shi Luo did not have low blood sugar, he was a little tired. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, quietly listening to Yu Sui being interviewed not far away. He listened as Yu Sui skillfully avoided various interview pits, answering each one without hesitation.

Most of the reporters were very gentle, basically using set questions that could be dealt with perfunctorily.

“This is Free’s first year. Being able to attain such good results, how is Whisper feeling now?”

Yu Sui said, “We managed to live up to our hard work this season. I feel great and am very satisfied.”

“Free was in unexpectedly good condition today. There were no flaws in the operation of any of the players. How do you evaluate the performance of your teammates today?”

Yu Sui said, “They played normally.”

There were also one or two reporters who had very cunning questions, creating pits for Yu Sui to jump over.

“Before the game, everyone had high expectations for the two teams in the finals. After NSN won the semi-finals, morale was also very high. Most people thought that today’s finals would go all five rounds. They didn’t want Free to easily beat NSN. Faced with the result of this game, is there anything that Whisper would like to tell to NSN’s players?”

Yu Sui said, “Let’s schedule to have a meal together later.”

Shi Luo closed his eyes and couldn’t help but laugh when he heard this. The fans in the distance booed the reporter and laughed once again.

Yu Sui hadn’t turned off his mic after the game and what he’d said to Shi Luo after the game had already been released. The reporters naturally couldn’t let it go.

“After the game, you told Evil Xuanshou, ‘What others have, don’t you also have it now?’ Do you mean medals?”

Not far away, Shi Luo was wearing two medals around his neck and naturally, his picture was taken by a lot of the media. After the game, he dared to speak on the monitored voice chat so now, Shi Luo had no need to hide. He didn’t try to avoid it and let them take as many pictures as they wanted.

In the interview area, Yu Sui said calmly, “No.”

Shi Luo’s eyes suddenly widened.

The reporter’s eyes widened as well. Surprised, he gave a follow up question. “Then what were you pertaining to?!”

Yu Sui said, “Before the game, I promised the kid something and it’s actually not finished yet, so I won’t speak about it for now.”

Shi Luo choked. He suddenly understood why Yu Sui had made him stay instead of going backstage.

The fans gave a quiet screech of excitement. Shi Luo’s heartbeat was running fast. Countless cameras were trained at Shi Luo, shooting his picture. Shi Luo tried his best to manage his expression. Yu Sui has always done airtight interviews. Even the reporter who had asked the question, never expected that Yu Sui could have so cooperatively followed up with that. He kept taking photos, expression as though he had picked up treasure.

Everyone thought that Yu Sui was in a good mood today from winning the championship and so he was humoring them like that. They didn’t expect that this would just be the beginning of Yu Sui blowing up this interview.

The reporter who had just asked the question hurriedly asked again, “Everyone knows that because of some things before, you and Evil Xuanshou had a falling out. Now, there’s no distance between the two of you. Is it because the misunderstanding has been resolved?”

Yu Sui said, “There has never been a misunderstanding between us.”

With a shocked look on his face, breaking away from the script, the reporter asked directly, “There was no misunderstanding…Uh…that is…then what was the problem exactly?”

Yu Sui said, “It was my problem. When I first met Evil, I didn’t have enough control over my own profession and failed to fulfil the agreement I promised to Evil Xuanshou.”

Shi Luo’s lips trembled slightly and he wanted to go back backstage but his feet seemed to be nailed in place. He picked up the large hood of his coat and put it over his head, covering the upper half of his face.

Another reporter asked, “So what was the original agreement?”

Yu Sui said, “I promised I would sign him for a lifetime.”

The fans outside the stage didn’t want to influence the official interview, but they couldn’t control it at that moment, and their excited shrieking became louder and louder.

The reporters were also very excited. However, the interview time limit was fast approaching. The staff had already signaled that they could end it. A reporter who hadn’t yet asked any questions, hurried up to make the most of the time and asked, “Half a month ago, there were rumors on the internet that Whisper might have started dating. Is this true?”

It had nothing to do with the game and the official staff stopped it promptly. “I’m sorry, but the player will only answer questions related to the game.”

Yu Sui’s expression remained as usual. “It’s true.”

This time it wasn’t only the fans, but also the reporters who couldn’t help it. They wanted to keep asking question but the interview time limit had been reached. Free’s staff stepped forward and led Yu Sui back backstage. As though completely unaware how many bombs he had detonated, he easily got up and walked to Shi Luo’s side. He took the jacket hanging from Shi Luo’s arm, rubbed the back of Shi Luo’s head, and together they went backstage.

Shi Luo felt that his heart was about to jump out.

At this moment, Shi Luo completely understood what Yu Sui meant by, “what others have, you can have too”.

Shi Luo couldn’t bear to wait until they returned to the base. When they passed the already empty NSN lounge, Shi Luo said, voice hoarse, “I have a private matter to discuss with Whisper. You go on ahead.”

Before Free’s team leader could react, Shi Luo pulled Yu Sui into NSN’s lounge. He closed the door and locked it. He turned off the lights and glanced around the lounge to make sure there was no surveillance light. He then pushed Yu Sui against the wall. .

Shi Luo kissed Yu Sui’s lips, already driven to the end of his forbearance. He said hoarsely, “…You, are you looking to die?”

Yu Sui was pushed against the wall by Shi Luo. He smiled and touched his waist and shut off the portable mic he had on there.

It was pitch black in the lounge. Shi Luo couldn’t see Yu Sui’s face clearly. He could only feel Yu Sui’s breath sweeping over his face. He heard Yu Sui whisper, “If it wasn’t for you not wanting to make it public, I would be courting death even more.”

Shi Luo was speechless. Without waiting for him to speak again, he felt Yu Sui move. Yu Sui continued to speak softly. “Before, you were envious of ROD promising to propose to his girlfriend, open and aboveboard, if he won the championship, right?”

Yu Sui whispered, “I can do that too.”

“We’re all professional players. I can play any routines that other players can play in the stadium.”

“My results are better than theirs and I can play more routines than they can.”

“I played so well in the game so these little tricks…why can’t my boyfriend also experience them?”

“Shi Shen…whatever others have, I want to give to you.”

Shi Luo put his head on Yu Sui’s shoulder. His hands clenched Yu Sui’s clothes tightly. His throat felt chocked and he swallowed with difficulty.

Yu Sui embraced Shi Luo lightly. He patted Shi Luo’s back with his hand, and smiled after a moment, “Shi Shen…holding on so tightly, do you want to tear my clothes? Although the game is over and the holiday has begun, don’t you think the time and the place isn’t quite right?”

Shi Luo suffocated and he relaxed his hold a bit.

Yu Sui hugged Shi Luo completely and whispered into Shi Luo’s ear, “Go back to the base…and you can tear my clothes as you wish.”
