Floating Islands: SSS Gacha Lord-Chapter 385 - Resurrection Is Her Weapon
On the massive screen, a woman came into view. Someone who had long been the center of attention within Atlas’s alliance. According to the statistics and internal rankings, in terms of offense, defense, and strategic capability, she stood directly below Atlas himself.
She was Arveline, a lord blessed with an SS-Rank system ability that Atlas personally considered nothing short of extraordinary. Borderline insane in its potential.
Her ability, King’s Rebirth, allowed her to resurrect after death once the battle ended. In other words, even if she fell during combat, she would return once the war concluded.
Just imagine how absurd that was.
Arveline was, for all intents and purposes, a lord who could never truly lose. At least not permanently.
Of course, the ability came with its own complex conditions. It required her forces to have defeated a certain number of enemies across recent battles, as well as a balance between her troops slain and those she had slain herself. Meeting these requirements wasn’t simple. But when she did, the results were unstoppable.
Still, it would be an insult to credit her success solely to her system ability. Behind it, Arveline was known as a disciplined, tactical, and highly intelligent leader. Someone who commanded with both strength and purpose.
On the screen, she stood tall and radiant. Her long, red hair flowed behind her like fire in the wind. She wore light white armor trimmed with gold, a crimson cape billowing dramatically at her back. Her expression was bold, unwavering, and confident, and in her hands she held a long, elegant spear of white-gold metal. An emblem of authority and power that matched her very name.
Atlas stood still, his eyes fixed sharply on the screen as the next battle began.
"The likelihood of her army being resurrected increases depending on how much they’ve contributed to her directly," Edrik said quietly from behind him.
Atlas nodded. "Yes. Not only can she resurrect herself, but her troops as well. Though the success rate isn’t absolute. Still, that’s what makes Arveline and her army so fearless. They fight without hesitation, without fear of death."
The enemy force attacking Arveline’s island was massive. Bolin clearly wasn’t holding back.
But Atlas had made thorough preparations. Over the past month, he had carefully increased the levels and combat readiness of most of his alliance’s armies. And now, this was the result.
After a brutal and decisive confrontation, the final outcome appeared before them.
Arveline had achieved a complete victory. Her forces had utterly destroyed the enemy’s army, and she herself had slain the opposing lord. It marked the end of the Defense Category, with Atlas’s alliance sweeping every single battle.
Two of Bolin’s lords had surrendered and escaped, avoiding execution, but it changed nothing. The result was absolute.
[The Vanguard Dominion Alliance has achieved an overwhelming victory with an almost perfect score.
Allied forces have successfully defended every battle.]
[Reward Unlocked: Access granted to the Strategic Phase, allowing reallocation of resources and forces among allied lords as needed.]
Atlas stood there, watching with a faint smirk as his body was slowly drawn into the swirling portal before vanishing completely from sight. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He didn’t say a word.
Let the old man stew in his own defeat.

Atlas found himself once again among his fellow lords. Even though they had secured victory in their first set of battles, the war was far from over. And now, a few complications were beginning to surface.
"Nysera needs time to recover," Luna reported calmly. "Possibly one to two weeks."
Atlas nodded and opened the tactical display before him, reviewing the lineup for the next category. The Offense Category, where Nysera had originally been scheduled to participate.
"There are two Rank-3 lords in our next battles," Atlas said after a moment of thought. "I can take one of them myself, and perhaps we can assign the other to Lumea." He paused, then continued, "If Nysera isn’t ready in time, our only available options will be our S-Rank lords."
"I can take that position, Atlas," Luna replied softly but firmly.
Though her system ability was only S-Rank, Luna still held a high standing within the alliance. Her strength came not only from direct combat but also from her exceptional capacity to empower and support other lords, even without being directly in the battle.
It was a difficult decision. Atlas didn’t want to risk weakening their offensive force, especially with the All-Out Confrontation Category still waiting at the end. His ideal plan was clear, aside from himself, every lord participating in that final showdown should possess at least an SS-Rank system ability.
Yet the situation was tightening, and Atlas knew that every choice he made now would shape the outcome of what was still to come.
After carefully reworking the strategy and weighing every possible scenario, Atlas finally came up with the final lineup.
[Offense Category:]
[1. Atlas SSS-Rank (Ultimate Gacha)]
[2. Lumea SS-Rank (Spectral Legion)]
[3. Thaliera S-Rank (Heavenfall Pact)]
[4. Luna S-Rank (Celestial Vanguard Transformation)]
[5. Katriel S-Rank (Predator’s Memory)]
[All-Out Confrontation Category:]
[1. Atlas SSS-Rank (Ultimate Gacha)]
[2. Arveline SS-Rank (King’s Rebirth)]
[3. Thryssia SS-Rank (Law of Dominion)]
[4. Lumea SS-Rank (Spectral Legion)]
[5. Nysera SS-Rank (Eclipse Dominion)]
Atlas could now reallocate the resources and forces of every lord under his command. That meant he could strengthen one lord’s forces with the support of another. And even redeploy powerful subordinates like Dullorak and Everburn to assist other teams where they were most needed.
He had only one goal in mind: to finish this entire event with a perfect score. And he was absolutely determined to make that happen.
Next in line were Katriel, Lumea, Thaliera, and Luna. Each preparing to bare their fangs in the Offense Category.
A few days later, when the next round of battles was ready to begin, Atlas once again stood across from Bolin in the familiar battleground. He knew this time would be different. The moment was approaching when he himself would also have to step into the fight.
Reaching out, Atlas took one of the shining coins from the virtual table.
"Say your goodbyes," Bolin said with a smirk. "Because this will be the last time you’ll ever get to wish luck to those foolish lords you’re sending into battle, Atlas."
Atlas smiled faintly. "You’re making me nervous, Elder Bolin. Almost afraid."
Yet there was not a trace of hesitation in his eyes.
He flicked the coin across the table, signaling the start of the next match.
Katriel, with her ability Predator’s Memory, would be the first to enter the battle.
She had never once lost a Lord Battle. Her record was flawless.
The only question now. Could she keep it that way in this one?
