Chapter 577: Grandmaster Alchemy

A young girl’s voice shattered the stillness of the forest... sharp, hurried, yet brimming with excitement.

From behind the trees, a figure about sixteen years old came running. Her plain shirt was slightly damp with sweat, her shorts fluttering as she rushed forward. She headed straight for a stone table where a young man sat calmly, as if the world around him had never changed.

"Master!"

She stopped abruptly in front of the table. "I... I have good news!"

Her words cut off. She gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling unevenly.

"Hgh... hgh..."

She bent forward, hands braced on her knees, trying to draw in as much air as she could.

The green-haired young man let out a soft sigh. His gaze was gentle, though his voice carried a light reprimand.

"Catch your breath first. Have you forgotten the basic lessons I always teach you?"

But it was clear she had run too far. Her body still trembled, her breathing refusing to settle.

Seeing this, the young man raised his hand and blew a gentle breath toward the top of her head.

A soft, pale-green breeze enveloped her body, carrying the fresh scent of leaves. In an instant, the tightness in her chest vanished. Her breathing became steady and light, as if she had just woken from a deep, restful sleep.

The girl froze for a moment, then looked up at her master. A small smile bloomed on her face, relief mixed with guilt.

"I’m sorry, Master," she said softly. "Lina was careless."

She straightened her posture, and the light returned to her brown eyes.

"But... Master, this is important." Her voice dipped briefly before rising with excitement.

"In Gurame Valley Village, a strange building suddenly appeared beside the village hall. It looks mysterious, like it wasn’t made by ordinary humans."

Her hands moved as she spoke, trying to describe what she had seen.

"There are many rare resources inside. Even... Luanxing leaves are there."

Her tone couldn’t hide her enthusiasm. She listed one precious material after another, as if afraid she might miss something.

The young man remained silent, listening without interruption. His bright eyes followed every one of Lina’s movements, filled with patience.

Nearly a full minute passed before Lina finally stopped talking.

Only then did she realize, her master was still looking at her with the same expression. Calm. Warm. Like a father waiting for his child to finish a long story.

Lina fell silent, her cheeks faintly reddening.

"I’m sorry, Master. Lina was wrong."

She gave a brief bow, then lifted her head to look at the green-haired young man again.

"Good. At least you’re aware of it," her master replied casually, clearly not bothered.

He then murmured softly, as if speaking to himself.

"A mysterious building, huh..."

His gaze lifted toward the sky beyond the leaves. His bright green eyes narrowed slightly, as though searching for something unseen.

Lina watched him, confused. She saw nothing but blue sky and thin clouds drifting slowly.

"Master... what is it?" she asked gently.

After a moment, her master’s head shifted slightly. His gaze paused at a point behind Lina, lingering there for a while before returning to her.

"You’ve already seen that building yourself, haven’t you?" he said quietly.

"If you can accumulate ten thousand points... I’ll teach you a Tier-Three potion."

Lina’s eyes instantly lit up.

"YES!" she answered without hesitation, her voice firm and full of energy.

A small smile appeared on her master’s face. He could only shake his head lightly at the enthusiasm of his youngest disciple.

At that moment, something else caught the corner of his eye.

From behind the trees, two young men emerged. The older one, around twenty years old, walked in front with a hoe slung over his shoulder. Behind him, the younger one, perhaps eighteen, carried a sickle casually in his hand.

"Look. Your brothers have arrived," the green-haired young man said.

Lina turned her head.

Her eyes instantly widened. Without waiting even a second, she ran toward them. When she reached them, she hopped lightly and wrapped her arms around both young men, clinging to them happily.

"First Brother! Second Brother!" she exclaimed. "You’re so late!"

The oldest laughed softly.

"Well, what can we do? I was already eager to see you too, Lina," he replied with a warm smile.

The younger brother looked at Lina while lifting his sickle slightly.

"How was your search today?" he asked. "Did you find any Feyang plants?"

Lina merely smiled sheepishly in response to her second brother’s question.

Ever since she had seen the appearance of that mysterious building, the one she had told her master about, she hadn’t searched for medicinal plants at all. Her attention had been completely drawn to that strange structure. She observed it from afar, noting every suspicious detail, before returning to the hut to report what she had seen.

"I saw it too," the eldest brother said, recalling the scene.

"There were guards standing in front of the building."

"That’s right," the younger one agreed. "And I heard there are many magical items inside."

The two exchanged glances. What they had witnessed was exactly the same.

Not long after, the three of them returned to their master’s stone table. Politely, the two young men greeted him before immediately asking about the mysterious building.

"There’s no need to worry," the green-robed young man replied calmly. "It’s actually a good thing."

He glanced at all three of his disciples before continuing, 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Just like your youngest sister. If the two of you can accumulate one hundred thousand points... I will give you a pure artifact."

All three pairs of eyes widened instantly.

Lina froze, her breath catching in her throat. Her two brothers were no less stunned. An artifact— a heavenly treasure capable of surpassing a cultivator’s realm. Something that had existed only in legends to them.

"Thank you, Master," the eldest said, his voice heavy as he struggled to contain his emotions.

"Thank you, Master," his younger brother echoed, equally sincere.

To them, an artifact was a lifelong dream. And now, their master himself had opened a path toward that dream.

"Don’t get too excited," their master said flatly. "Remember, one hundred thousand points."

After that, he paid them no further attention. His hands returned to grinding medicinal ingredients, as if he hadn’t just made a promise capable of changing their lives.

The three disciples exchanged glances, then gave each other small nods. Without saying much, they turned and left, heading toward the mysterious building that had now become their destination.

Toward one hundred thousand points.

As they walked back through the forest, the younger brother muttered with shining eyes,

"If I can obtain an artifact... my family will surely be able to buy five Muzon territories."

The eldest smiled faintly and reminded him,

"Yeah. But before that, make sure you have enough Earth Coins to return through the realm portal."

Their footsteps continued beneath the dense canopy of trees.

They had been Budi’s disciples for several months now, the Grandmaster of Alchemy. With such a status, confidence grew within their hearts. Sooner or later, they would rise.

And one day, they would return to their homeland... heads held high, bringing pride to their families.
