Flash Marriage With Mr. Sheffield: Go Away, Cheap Man!-Chapter 110: Julian Hawthorne Confesses His Feelings and Is Caught by Silas Sheffield
The private room was decorated with a very romantic atmosphere.
Rose petals were scattered on the floor.
Pink balloons and streamers were hanging on the walls, and a bouquet of beautiful roses was placed on the table.
Beside the roses was a square gift box wrapped exquisitely, tied with a pink ribbon on top.
This place no way looks like a business private room, it’s obviously a date room booked by some couple.
At first glance, Clara Sterling thought the waiter had led them to the wrong room.
Who knew Julian Hawthorne would walk in, pick up that bouquet of pink roses on the table, and stride towards Clara Sterling?
Today, he was wearing a silver-gray suit, perfectly tailored and ironed without a single crease.
"No mistake."
Julian Hawthorne’s eyes had that gentle and affectionate almond shape, looking at Clara Sterling with amusement and unabashed affection.
Clara Sterling’s heart tightened intensely.
What is Julian Hawthorne trying to do!!!
Could he be about to confess his feelings to her?
What is this all about?
Wasn’t tonight supposed to be about business socializing?
Clara Sterling’s brain went blank for a moment.
She never imagined Julian Hawthorne would suddenly confess to her.
This isn’t a surprise, this is a shock!
Even more shocking than a horror story!
Just as Clara Sterling was in a daze, Julian Hawthorne pondered and began, "Clara, actually I..."
...
A little over ten minutes ago, Thea Tate had taken photos of Clara Sterling getting into Julian Hawthorne’s car but didn’t immediately send them to Silas Sheffield; instead, she sent them to Susan Saxon, Silas Sheffield’s grandmother.
[Grandma, I think I saw Clara Sterling going out with her department director, I checked, and their department didn’t schedule any socializing or overtime today.]
Thea Tate is the general manager of The Veridian Branch, so it’s quite easy for her to check a department’s work arrangements.
After sending this message, Thea Tate added: [Oh right, grandma, today is 520, young people especially enjoy celebrating such special days; of course, I’m not saying Clara Sterling is cheating, but isn’t her behavior somewhat improper considering she’s already married to Silas?]
Susan Saxon got angry upon reading the message and immediately called.
"Thea, hurry up and catch up to see what’s going on; if Clara Sterling dares to do anything to disgrace Silas, and humiliate the Sheffield Family, I won’t spare her!"
Actually, after seeing Clara Sterling follow Julian Hawthorne, Thea Tate had already started driving after them.
When the old lady called, she was tailing Julian Hawthorne’s Cayenne.
"Grandma, don’t worry, I’m following them."
Susan Saxon asked, "Thea, you’re sure their department has not scheduled any overtime socializing tonight?"
"Yes." Thea Tate replied, driving while using a Bluetooth earpiece, "I’m sure."
"What’s Silas doing? Isn’t he with them?"
"No, Silas has been really busy these days, he’s had social events almost every day, today he arranged to meet President Langley of Synapse to discuss cooperation."
Susan Saxon: "You keep trailing them and see what they’re up to."
Thea Tate drove all the way to the restaurant entrance.
After Julian Hawthorne and Clara Sterling got out and entered the restaurant, she leisurely got out of her car.
Thea Tate looked up at the restaurant’s sign.
Isn’t this the restaurant where Silas Sheffield and President Langley are meeting?
Thea Tate knew about Silas Sheffield’s schedule, even if Julian Hawthorne might not.
Even heaven seems to be helping her out.
Thea Tate’s lips curled into a smile.
Tonight, there’s going to be quite a show.
Thea Tate walked into the restaurant in high spirits, wearing high heels.
"Hello, ma’am, do you have a reservation?" A waiter approached her.
Thea Tate smiled, "I’m Vice President of Sheffield, I have urgent business with President Sheffield."
She took out her phone as she spoke, "I can give him a call."
As the call connected, Silas Sheffield’s icy voice came from the other end, "What’s going on?"
"Silas, I just saw Clara and Julian Hawthorne at the restaurant where you’re dining, have you come across her?"
Silas Sheffield coldly replied, "She’s working late tonight, you’re mistaken."
"No," Thea Tate said, "I saw Julian Hawthorne’s car parked outside. Why don’t you call Clara to confirm?"
"Is there anything else?" Silas Sheffield tone was cold and impatient.
"I’m at the restaurant now, which private room are you in, I’ll come find you."
"No need." Silas Sheffield hung up.
The waiter smiled politely, "Ma’am, what did President Sheffield say?"
What else, she got rejected.
Thea Tate’s face turned cold, "Sign me up for a membership card."
The waiter’s fake service smile turned into a genuine one, "Certainly ma’am, please follow me."
Thea Tate had been abroad for years, having just returned recently, and was not a member at this restaurant yet.
But she knew this upscale members-only restaurant only allowed entry to members.
If she wanted to see a good show, she needed to qualify to get inside first.
...
"Clara, actually I..." Julian Hawthorne holding the roses, his beautiful almond eyes filled with emotion and a smile.
"Wait!"
Before Julian Hawthorne could finish, Clara Sterling interrupted.
"President Hawthorne, I suddenly remembered something urgent at home, I better leave now!"
Once finished speaking, Clara Sterling turned to walk away.
Suddenly, she froze on the spot.
The adjacent private room door had somehow swung open.
Silas Sheffield emerged, flanked by several men in suits.
Clara Sterling caught Silas Sheffield’s gaze by surprise.
His eyes lingered on her face for a moment, then shifted to Julian Hawthorne holding the roses behind her.
It was over.
Clara Sterling’s heart sank with a thud.
Julian Hawthorne’s confession had been caught red-handed by Silas Sheffield.
Silas Sheffield stopped, his cold gaze piercing.
He halted and the men behind him followed suit.
The corridor was wide; they stood at the door, all staring at Clara Sterling and Julian Hawthorne.
The others didn’t recognize Clara Sterling, but Zachary Lynch was very familiar with her.
He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, not daring to breathe heavily.
It must have been a bad day to step outside without checking the almanac, what bad luck.
The chill emanating from the President froze him to a shiver.
Zachary Lynch glanced sympathetically at Julian Hawthorne.
It seems President Hawthorne won’t be able to stay in Sheffield now.
Silas Sheffield stared directly at Julian Hawthorne, with cold and bleak brows.
Julian Hawthorne was the first to speak, "President Sheffield."
Silas Sheffield radiated coldness.
"Is this a confession?"
Julian Hawthorne saw how angry Silas Sheffield was, but he wasn’t afraid.
During work hours, Silas Sheffield was his boss, but now was after hours.
Moreover, his family background is strong, not needing to fear Sheffield’s power.
He knew that Silas Sheffield also liked Clara Sterling.
But so what?
Clara Sterling is currently single and he can pursue her.
Someone behind Silas Sheffield commented: "President Hawthorne’s lucky, this lady is really pretty, she suits President Hawthorne well!"
He frequently dealt with Sheffield, and recognized Julian Hawthorne.
Seeing Silas Sheffield and Julian Hawthorne exchanging words, he thought they had a good relationship, thus casually making a remark hoping to leave a good impression on both.
Zachary Lynch internally screamed trouble.
What a disastrous pairing!
Does anyone lack basic observation skills? Are they rushing to their demise?
