Chapter 798: Chapter 798: Why Are You Acting Crazy All Day Long?

The gentle breeze intertwined.

The afterglow of the sunset, streaming through the vast plane tree leaves, formed spots like glowing clouds on people’s shoulders.

As they got closer, the cold sternness on Jasper Sinclair’s face fell completely into Nora Northwood’s eyes.

She said to the person beside her, "You don’t need to bother sending me off; if there’s a chance, I’ll treat you to a meal next time."

"Will there really be a chance?"

Vincent Morgan’s eyes, although filled with a hint of humor, betrayed a trace of seriousness.

Nora knew what he meant and was ready to smile it off.

Avoiding the question was already Nora’s answer.

They bid farewell just like that. To avoid unnecessary troubles, Vincent didn’t even greet Jasper Sinclair.

After Vincent left, Nora stood in place, hesitating to make any new moves.

After a long while, Jasper sarcastically spoke up, "The person has left, what’s there to keep looking at?"

Nora’s emotions were forced to pause; she slung the pea bag back over her shoulder and looked at Jasper again, her eyes calm and unruffled.

She asked, "Do you need something from me?"

"Didn’t I already say, there’s nothing."

Nora pursed her lips, "Oh," looking somewhat uninterested.

Jasper was almost driven mad by her calmness, irritably blurting out, "Laughing and talking with your brother Morgan, but when you’re with me, you put on a wooden face. Can you not make your preferential treatment so obvious?"

Nora felt that this man’s words were inexplicable.

Honestly, she didn’t know from which day their relationship had developed to this point.

Regarding this, Nora felt utterly powerless.

She lifted her foot again, opened the rear car door on her own, "Let’s go home. I’m a bit tired."

"Bang—"

Jasper slammed shut the car door she had just opened, coldly saying, "I’m not your driver; sit up front."

Nora’s hand hanging by her side clenched for a moment before quickly letting go, resigned to sit in the front passenger seat.

As half of her body leaned into the car cabin, she heard Jasper calling her name through gritted teeth.

Nora was also tired of these endless words.

"What exactly do you want?"

Jasper rested his arm on the edge of the car door, trying to speak calmly: "I went to pick you up after work; you left the company without a word and told me you were with a friend. Why didn’t you just tell me Vincent’s name? Is there nothing you want to explain?"

His heart was pounding.

He thought that after this speech, Nora would at least give him a reasonable explanation.

Who would have imagined her tone was colder than his, "I stopped over for more than ten hours to find your whereabouts in Melbourne, but you went abroad with another woman, making everlasting vows, abandoning your family and wife. Have you explained any of this seriously to me?"

The sarcasm in her eyes was about to overflow.

Jasper, knowing he was at fault, could only attribute it all to amnesia.

Both were holding onto their anger, and the fire in their hearts had already swelled to a level that couldn’t continue worsening.

At an impasse, Jasper moved around the car body to get into the driver’s seat.

He thought the conflict would end here.

But after getting into the car, he suddenly grabbed Nora’s shoulder, and if not for the gear stick between them, she would have fallen into his arms.

"What are you doing?"

Jasper didn’t answer, directly leaning forward, reducing the distance between them once again, using his actions to respond to this pointless and meaningless question.
