Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 774 - 773: Is Molly Harguez Possessed?
Nia Mitchell had a long dream, in which many things were quite surreal. She stood there, a long corridor stretching before her. Then, with a sudden shift, it transformed into a deserted, desolate path.
"Dad, run."
In her dream, they didn’t just sit and wait for death, nor did they hand over the money. They kept running, running endlessly.
But they were still caught.
The smiles on those men’s faces, and every kick and blow from their assault, landed on Mr. Mitchell.
Blood. Blood was everywhere—a sea of crimson.
"Dad! Dad! Dad!"
Nia Mitchell shouted, waving her hands incessantly.
Frowning, she screamed desperately, trying to call for help, but it felt as if her throat was constricted, rendering her speechless.
"No! No! BOO HOO HOO..."
Molly Harguez was dozing fitfully by Aldy Mitchell’s bedside, her brow furrowed in unease.
Suddenly, the sound of Nia Mitchell crying nearby startled her awake.
"Nia?"
She immediately walked over, her face pale, and gently shook Nia.
Nia Mitchell slowly regained consciousness. Seeing the undisguised concern on Molly Harguez’s face, she felt a momentary daze.
Was this an illusion? How could Molly Harguez possibly wear such an expression?
She lay there, exhausted, her eyes feeling very dry and gritty.
A sudden recollection of what had just transpired filled her face with terror.
"Dad! Where is my dad?"
Nia Mitchell grabbed Molly Harguez’s arm, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Your dad is fine, nothing’s wrong at all. Look, he’s right there."
With that, Molly Harguez pointed towards Mr. Mitchell lying on the bed.
Nia Mitchell followed Molly’s pointing finger and saw her father still lying on a hospital bed. His expression was serene.
Instantly, the knot in her heart loosened. She let out a sigh of relief, sat down, and rubbed her temples.
"As long as he’s okay."
She had been truly terrified. That scene—she would never forget it for as long as she lived.
Her mind reeled with images of blood; the mere thought made her body tremble uncontrollably.
"It’s okay, it’s okay, don’t be scared."
Molly Harguez immediately sat beside her, patting her back.
She’s just a child, after all.
Even if she had been somewhat harsh with Nia Mitchell in the past, and her words had often been unkind, she was, after all, a mother.
Now, with both men of the family lying in the hospital, the entire weight of responsibility had fallen onto her shoulders alone.
If anything were to happen to Nia Mitchell, she would have another burden to bear.
If Nia Mitchell recovered well, she could at least help her look after these two.
Seeing the look on Nia Mitchell’s face, Molly got up, poured a glass of water, and handed it to her.
"Don’t worry, and don’t be afraid. This will pass soon. The doctor said your dad was given an anesthetic, so he won’t wake up until tomorrow morning."
Nia Mitchell was taken aback. She glanced outside and only then did she realize it was pitch black.
Now... Is it already nighttime? 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"Why don’t you go to the bedroom inside and rest?"
The VIP ward even had a separate bedroom where family members attending to the patient could rest.
"I’m worried."
Molly Harguez offered a small smile, took the empty glass from her, and placed it on the nearby table.
With two people here so grievously injured, and another so emotionally volatile, how could she possibly rest easy and sleep soundly nearby?
As Nia Mitchell looked up at Molly Harguez, her perception of the woman had already changed.
It felt as if a century had passed. She seemed... utterly different from before. Had this incident changed her?
"It’s okay, I’m awake now. You go rest. I’ll watch over them here."
