Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 624 - 623: The Morgan Family Really Hasnβt Made Any Progress
"Mom?"
When Alanβs mother came over holding Gerry Peary, she saw the scene. πππππ¬πππ·ππΏππ‘.ππΈπ
Her heart suddenly lurched with panic. Could something have happened to Alan Morgan?
She looked up, trying to see the situation inside the Intensive Care Unit, but found the curtains had been drawn from the inside, and she couldnβt see anything.
Seeing this, Alanβs mother immediately rushed over.
"What happened to Alan? Speak!"
Alanβs mother looked anxiously at Shirley Grant, but could only see Shirley sitting there, looking utterly lost.
"Mom, Mom."
Gerry Peary rushed over. He had never seen his mother in such a state before, and seeing her like this now, he was very scared.
Seeing Gerry Peary like this, even as dazed as Shirley was, she still managed to open her eyes at once.
"Gerry Peary?"
Shirleyβs lips were dry and cracked, a heart-wrenching sight.
"Mom, donβt scare me."
Gerry Peary suddenly burst into tears. He used to see his mom like this when he was very sick.
But now he was fine, yet his mom had become like this.
Did something happen to Dad?
"Mom, how is Dad?"
Tears welled in Gerry Pearyβs large, innocent eyes, swirling constantly.
"Itβs okay, Dad is fine. It seems he woke up; the doctor is inside."
Shirley knelt and looked at Gerry Peary before her, tenderly wiping the tears from his face.
Hearing this, Alanβs mother, who was standing nearby, instantly widened her eyes.
"Alan woke up?"
Alanβs mother looked at Shirley Grant in disbelief. This news was undoubtedly a shock to her.
"Yes, I saw his hand move, and his eyes moved too."
He must have heard my voice; thatβs why he reacted, Shirley thought. She was somewhat at a loss, not knowing how to face Alan Morgan.
Time passed in silence.
Twenty minutes later, the doctor came out again.
"Congratulations. Mr. Morgan is fully awake now. Heβs just very tired and has fallen asleep again."
After he finished speaking, the doctor gave them a few instructions before leaving.
Hearing the doctorβs words, tears streamed down Shirley Grantβs face.
"Daddy woke up! Can I see Daddy?"
Gerry Peary looked at Shirley Grant, seeking her permission.
"Okay, Gerry Peary can go see Dad."
Alanβs mother spoke up from the side, then took Gerry Peary by the hand and led him into the Intensive Care Unit.
After they went inside, two sophisticated-looking men wearing glasses approached.
"Miss Grant, hello. We are lawyers specially retained by the Morgan Family. We need to have a serious talk with you now."
With that, they gestured for her to step aside to talk.
Shirley Grant nodded, turning to glance at Gerry Peary, who had already entered the Intensive Care Unit.
She had expected this.
She looked at Alanβs mother, who happened to turn her head and look their way just thenβtheir eyes met.
"Letβs go, Miss Grant," one of the lawyers urged.
Shirley Grant nodded and stepped away with them.
The door to the hospital conference room slowly opened, and the two lawyers led Shirley Grant inside.
Once the door was closed, only the three of them remained in the empty room. The room was cold. The silence, desolate.
"Miss Grant, hello. We need to discuss Mr. Morganβs son, Wilson Grant, with you."
The two men produced a document and a check.
"You just need to sign these two items."
Shirley Grant looked down at the document. It was lengthy, but the content was essentially about her handing Gerry Peary over to the Morgan Family and disappearing from Gerry Pearyβs world forever.
And, of course, disappearing from Alan Morganβs world too.
Seven years, Shirley thought bitterly, and the Morgan Family hasnβt changed one bit. Still so fond of this tactic.
