Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 586 - 585 What happened to Julia Adams
Evelyn Peary froze. Holy cow, is this really my brother? My own flesh and blood! It’s like he’s not my real brother at all! She felt like finding a corner to squat in and draw circles. So annoying! Extremely annoying!
"Brother, how could you do this to me? This is the old mansion, and there are no cars around. What am I supposed to do?"
Feeling wronged, Evelyn Peary trailed behind Maxwell Peary, following him as he circled around to the driver’s seat.
"Figure it out yourself."
She can get lost the same way she came.
Maxwell Peary retorted irritably, then opened the driver’s side door and got in.
"Brother!"
Evelyn Peary shrieked, grabbing the car door to prevent him from closing it.
"Give me a ride, please? Just a short one, okay?"
We’re going the same way, anyway! And he’s my biological brother! If we weren’t going the same way, would he just slap me aside?
Seeing Evelyn Peary like this, Maxwell Peary felt a twinge of reluctance.
"You drive."
Maxwell Peary shot her a glare, then he and Nia Mitchell both got into the back seat.
Treated like a chauffeur, Evelyn Peary could only bite the bullet and drive, pouting with annoyance.
Leaving the old mansion, Nia Mitchell finally breathed a sigh of relief. Every time she came here, it felt like a battle.
That feeling was particularly awful.
When Evelyn Peary got out of the car, Nia Mitchell moved to the front passenger seat, turning to look at Maxwell Peary beside her.
"Uncle, what exactly was wrong with you today?"
Had Maxwell Peary brought me to the old mansion today *just* because Yancy Hastings wanted to break off the engagement? She was a bit bewildered, truly not understanding the meaning behind it.
"Nothing. By the way, do you have a classmate named... Julia Adams?"
Nia Mitchell paused. Why would he suddenly bring up Julia Adams?
"Yes."
Of all her classmates, she might forget everyone else, but she could never forget Julia Adams. That woman was too much, far too much! It would be best if I could forget her. Utterly outrageous, wasn’t she?!
"Between her and you..."
Tsk, tsk, their relationship wasn’t just ordinarily bad. He remembered it very clearly; it was that Julia Adams who had relentlessly pestered them before, refusing to let them leave.
"Uncle, why did you suddenly mention her?"
The last school reunion had ended on bad terms, which was incredibly frustrating.
But Maxwell Peary’s move had been too ruthless. Before anyone had even eaten, he’d ordered all the dishes to be cleared away and then announced the meal was on the house.
In the end, everyone must have guessed his true identity. Haha, I so badly wanted to know what their expressions were like! It’s a pity I didn’t get to see them.
At this thought, an unusual light danced in her eyes as she gazed at him.
"Uncle, did you do something?"
For Maxwell Peary to suddenly bring up Julia Adams, he must have done something to her.
"No," Maxwell Peary replied, then continued to focus on driving.
But... had he really done nothing?
「University A」
After finishing her makeup, Julia Adams immediately went downstairs. Tonight, a top talent from the Chinese Department at University A had asked her out to a movie; this was a rare opportunity.
She had already inquired and found out that this man’s family was quite wealthy.
"Am I late? I’m so sorry."
Julia Adams deliberately showed up a minute late, wearing an expression full of apology.
"I despise people who are late. So, let’s just call it off for tonight."
Huh?
Before Julia Adams could react, the man had already turned and walked away.
Felix Gregory’s tall figure slowly elongated under the streetlight. Downstairs from the dormitory, only Julia Adams was left, a complete mess.
Damn it, what on earth did he mean by that?
