Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 544 - 543: Julia Adams with a Wild Imagination
Charles Northwood liked spicy food, which Nia Mitchell knew, but she hadn’t expected him to have such a formidable tolerance for spice.
"Please thank Director Pei for me," he said.
Charles Northwood smiled, still elegant, although it felt like something about him was changing.
Fiona Sutton couldn’t help but fixate on him for a long moment before snapping back to reality.
Seeing the Manager looking at her intently, she frowned in annoyance.
"Miss Sutton, Director Pei also instructed that a few dishes be made specifically for you," the Manager said.
As he spoke, the Waiter brought over several dishes that Fiona Sutton liked.
Fiona Sutton froze for a moment, then frowned, her face etched with displeasure.
She really didn’t want to eat these dishes. She disliked this Director Pei, whom she had never even met.
"Thank you, Manager."
Nia Mitchell laughed lightly, and after the Manager left, she turned her gaze to Fiona Sutton.
"Fiona, I..."
"I don’t want to talk to you."
Fiona Sutton interrupted Nia Mitchell, then resumed eating, pointedly avoiding the few dishes that had been placed directly in front of her.
Charles Northwood was doing exactly the same.
The two of them were surprisingly in sync at this moment.
Nia Mitchell could do nothing but lower her head and eat her own meal.
Fortunately, Julia Adams didn’t say much more, seemingly a bit wary of Fiona Sutton.
The meal lasted for two full hours. Several of the boys drank so much wine they ended up completely drunk. Fiona Sutton also drank a lot of wine, but she still seemed sober.
"Nia."
An intoxicated Fiona Sutton began to call Nia Mitchell’s name.
Nia Mitchell immediately went over to support her, preventing her from accidentally falling.
"Nia, why did you get married?" Fiona Sutton’s face was flushed, and she seemed confused. "Did you even like that Director Pei before? Why did you get married? And why so quickly?"
"Fiona, you’re drunk."
It wasn’t appropriate for Nia Mitchell to discuss this here; after all, with so many people around, gossip could easily spread.
"I’ll take you home first."
Nia Mitchell said this and was preparing to leave with Fiona Sutton, but Julia Adams stopped her.
"We’re planning to go sing karaoke later, how can you leave?"
Julia Adams seemed to be kindly asking Nia Mitchell to stay—but who knew what her real intentions were?
"Didn’t you see that Fiona is drunk? I need to take her home to rest."
Nia Mitchell’s reasoning was sound.
Julia Adams observed Fiona Sutton’s condition and smiled faintly.
"No problem. The karaoke place also has couches, so she can rest there. Plus, can’t she handle her wine well? I bet she’ll sober up in a bit, and then we can all have fun together. It would be so boring if you took her home."
Julia Adams was determined not to let Nia Mitchell leave, no matter what was said. Who knew when she would get the opportunity to see her again?
Besides, I still haven’t found out who her husband really is. I absolutely have to find out. I must get to the bottom of it today. Recalling that scene during dinner, even if I don’t want to admit it, it’s useless to deny it: the man Nia Mitchell married is definitely no ordinary salesman. Could he be a rich heir? Are there really people in this world even more foolish than Hendry Hampton?
"And look," Julia Adams added, "there are so many drunk boys here. None of them are talking about leaving."
And no one else is offering to take any of *them* home, so why should Fiona Sutton get special treatment?
Of course, those boys wouldn’t leave. They wanted to be wherever the fun was. Who wouldn’t?
Moreover, everyone was hoping that the karaoke would be free as well, with possibly another free meal to boot.
Singing karaoke at the Royal Dynasty; could they really go anywhere else for dinner tonight?
No way.
