Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 441 - 440: Seven Years in a Dream
Stepping out of this dilapidated house, sunlight beat down on him as he trailed blood all the way.
"Investigate!" Alan Morgan roared. You audacious woman, Shirley Grant! How dare you have my son and keep his existence from me!
And as if that weren’t enough, you even concealed the fact that our child was gravely ill!
Looking at this rundown house, he felt the blood in his body boil, on the verge of spilling over.
If something happened to that child because of her delay, he would... He definitely would... Damn it!
He realized with frustration that he couldn’t do anything at all.
Even when he was furious, he didn’t want to hurt her.
"Yes!"
Alan Morgan trembled all over, struggling to stay on his feet. The bright sunshine made him feel extraordinarily dizzy.
It seemed as if Shirley Grant were standing right in front of him.
She was smiling, just as she had in her innocent youth.
But in a flash, she disappeared like a bubble.
Seven years had passed like a fleeting, dazzling dream.
He had a long dream in which he cried as he watched Shirley Grant.
"Alan, let’s end this."
Shirley Grant’s cold, indifferent expression froze his heartbeat.
"Are you joking?"
"I never joke. I’ve realized I can’t stand your bad temper, nor can I tolerate the disdainful way your family looks at me."
"So, let’s break up."
Alan Morgan shook his head, incredulous. He couldn’t accept a single word she said.
"Those aren’t reasons! We can ignore everyone. We just need to live our own lives, that’s all that matters."
Alan Morgan hurried over, reaching out to grab her, but he grasped at nothing.
She seemed like a mirage; he could pass right through her body.
"Let’s break up. I don’t love you anymore."
"No! Shirley, we’re getting married tomorrow! The wedding dress was delivered today. It’s at Royal Bay Villa..."
"Alan, please, let me go."
Shirley Grant looked at him coldly, giving him no room to refuse, then turned and left.
He chased after her, only to be met with her rolling her eyes and mocking him.
"I coveted your money and climbed into your bed. Now, I’m being merciful enough to let you go. Why is there still a fool like you, clinging on, willing to be deceived for a lifetime?"
Shirley Grant sneered, each word a sharp blade, ruthlessly slicing into his heart.
Deceive me?
Alan Morgan couldn’t believe it. He stood rooted to the spot, his mind a complete muddle, on the verge of going mad.
"Alan, see clearly! This is the kind of person I am. My conscience has awakened. I only wanted to trick you out of some money; I wasn’t prepared to waste my entire life on you!"
Her words kept echoing.
「Capital Town Hospital—」
In the white, lavish VIP ward, Alan Morgan lay on a large bed, displaying no signs of waking up.
"What the hell happened? Why would he go to a godforsaken place like S City?"
Hearing that Alan Morgan was in the hospital, his father became instantly anxious. He hastily contacted the Mayor of S City and arranged for Alan to be transferred from the S City hospital to one in Capital Town with utmost urgency.
A series of examinations had been completed, and the data indicated that nothing was seriously wrong with Alan Morgan. He had merely suffered a great shock, which he couldn’t accept at the time. Compounded by a fit of intense anger that overwhelmed him, he had fainted.
His father interrogated the man who had been with Alan at the time, wanting to know what had transpired, but the man remained silent.
"Director! When exactly will he wake up?"
His father yelled, his loud voice echoing through the hospital. Luckily, this was the VIP ward with good soundproofing; otherwise, they would probably have been inundated with complaints.
