Chapter 360: Chapter 359: You are the Eldest Young Master of the Morgan Family

Alan Morgan nonchalantly sat on the bench, idly playing with his phone in his right hand.

Looking up at the flowerbeds in the distance, he seemed to see himself and Shirley Grant from many years ago.

She had been holding his arm as they walked on the Goose Warming Stones.

"I told you not to come, but you still did. Are you happy now?"

Shirley Grant pouted and glared at him. Though her tone was harsh, she continued to cling to his arm.

"It’s a matter of etiquette. We’re getting married, so of course, I had to accompany you on a trip back to your home."

Alan Morgan furrowed his brow and gently tapped Shirley Grant’s forehead.

She rubbed her forehead, a smile blooming on her face.

"So, Mr. Morgan, what’s your opinion of my family?"

She playfully put on a stern expression, looking at him seriously.

"You’re mistaken. It should be what your family thinks of me. After all, I’m the one marrying you."

Shirley Grant chuckled and skipped ahead.

"Actually, you didn’t need to make this trip at all. If I had a choice, I wouldn’t want to come back to this small place myself."

Besides, her relatives were all incredibly snobbish.

Earlier, when he was there, her aunts couldn’t take their eyes off Alan Morgan, hoping to get a fortune out of him.

During that one dinner, they were already discussing where the couple would live after the wedding and offering to move in to "personally take care" of them.

Then they started talking about how hard it was to find work in their area, implying they’d need jobs to support themselves, and asked Alan Morgan to help them find employment.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, some even brazenly asked for a house outright.

That meal made her feel like she was sitting on pins and needles; she wished she could dig a hole and crawl into it to escape.

"You don’t have to take what those people said to heart," Alan Morgan comforted her with a smile, pained to see her so distressed.

"Once we’ve settled on a wedding date, we’ll leave. We’ll get our marriage certificate, and then I’ll give you a wedding that will be the talk of the entire city. I’d already picked out our marital home before coming here—it’s at the newly built Royal Bay Villa. It’s not too far from MC Group, so it’ll be convenient for your work too."

"So you’ve already chosen everything. You’re just informing me, not asking for my opinion."

Shirley Grant pointed at Alan Morgan, feigning anger, then turned and dashed off.

"What are you running for? Stop!"

Alan Morgan chased after her, a wide smile on his face as he watched her playful, carefree antics.

"I’m not stopping! You’re the young master of the Morgan family—rich, powerful, and unconcerned about money. If you want to buy a villa, you just buy a villa wherever you please!"

The sunset is infinitely beautiful, but dusk is drawing near.

Alan Morgan startled. His vision blurred for a moment, and those scenes vanished instantly. He rubbed his forehead, a bitter smile on his lips. Was he getting sentimental because of the familiar scenery?

Shirley Grant, after all these years, am I the only one who still remembers these things? Alan Morgan mumbled to himself, slowly closing his eyes.

Nia Mitchell hurriedly stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Nia Mitchell?"

Inside the elevator, a woman suddenly spoke. She was now EdbertNia Mitchell’s secretary.

"Huh? Oh, it’s you. What a coincidence."

Nia Mitchell looked at Hazel Quartz. She had long shed her initial naivety and simplicity. Her long, flaxen-colored hair was now styled in large waves and casually tied back.

A few strands caressed her face, exuding a casual sexiness that could effortlessly stir one’s heart.

Her subtle makeup enhanced her striking beauty, and her professional attire was tailored to clearly accentuate her well-proportioned figure.

"Yes, I still have to thank you for promoting me back then. Now, I’ve risen through the ranks and am currently EdbertNia Mitchell’s most trusted secretary. But you... are you planning to come back?"

When she spoke the last few words, Nia Mitchell distinctly felt her hostility.
