The phone carried Edbert’s cheerful laughter.

"I’m right outside your company."

"Alright, I’m coming down."

Nia Mitchell brushed aside her gloominess and glanced at the closed door of the CEO’s Office after hanging up the phone.

After hesitating for a long while, she eventually walked away directly.

"How come you have time to treat me to dinner today? Not attending any social events?"

Nia Mitchell opened Edbert’s car with ease and began teasing him as soon as they met.

"I have social events, but as a capitalist, I specifically canceled all of them to have dinner with you."

The sneering waiter turned to her colleague who had shown Nia in and asked, right in front of Nia Mitchell.

"She came with Mr. Zhong from Star Media."

Mr. Zhong? Haha! Good heavens, to think this woman managed to latch onto such a powerful connection. She must have worked quite hard at it.

"I see. If I recall correctly, Mr. Zhong brings a different companion every time he visits, doesn’t he?" the waiter said, her words dripping with provocation. She then turned to Nia Mitchell, a look of feigned kindness on her face. "You may strut around Lotus Residence all you like, but to Mr. Zhong, you’re just one of many."

The waiter looked at Nia Mitchell smugly. Last time, Nia and her friend had caused a scene here, yet Nia had walked out with her head held high. But she, the waiter, had ended up being reprimanded by Yancy Hastings, and even had half a month’s salary and her annual bonus deducted.

She had always held a grudge about this, secretly vowing that if she ran into those two somewhere else next time, she would make them pay.

I can’t believe this woman dares to show her face in Lotus Residence again! Hmph!
