The ticking of the clock on the wall went by like the crawling of a snail for rs. Adebayo.

Everyone says that working with children is supposed to be an honorable profession, but no one seemed to really comprehend just how draining it could be.

Hence the reason why she had swapped from classroom duties to an administrative role just last year.

The upside was she no longer had to deal with a glassful of male fourth graders screaming 'rizz' at the slightest interaction with a girl, but the downside was that she was bored out of her mind most days.

Any work she had could usually be wrapped up in an hour or two; not including any menial tasks that popped up throughout the day.

Which is usually how she ended up sitting at her desk from twelve to 3:30 pm; eating cup noodles and watching whatever crap reality show she could find on her tablet.

Her latest bad find was a show about hot people stuck on a deserted island who were trying not to touch each other for money.

'This is so over the top...these people aren't attractive enough to warrant this kind of drama. They're all just frivolously wasting money because they can't keep it in their pants for two seconds.'

She was grumbling to herself a lot, but she certainly wasn't going to stop watching.

"Excuse me."

'Drat. These bastards were just about to spend money again...'

Mrs. Adebayo removed her earbuds and looked up to see who had just entered her office.

She couldn't tell what she was more surprised by, the fact that twelve people had just shown up without making a sound, or that they were more beautiful than anyone or anything she had ever seen in her life.

Due to her shock, her jaw ended up going slack and an amalgamation of noodles fell out of her mouth back into her cup.

Though that wasn't nearly as embarrassing as the incoherent gibberish that spilled out of her mouth nearly seconds later.

"H-Hoo, Iwe alzee...."

In front of her was a divinely beautiful woman with golden yellow eyes and long brown hair.

She looked to be in her late thirties or early forties, and had a physique that was nothing short of divine perfection.

"I'm sorry?"

Mrs. Adebayo quickly shook her head hard enough to send it flying. "I-I mean, yes. H-How can I help you all?"

"We wanted to see if we could register our daughter for school? Who do we talk to about that?"

"Daughter...?"

Mrs. Adebayo was so busy gazing at the sea of goddesses that she wasn't even aware of the child in the room.

Her eyes found the young girl all the way in the back of the group by the door; sitting on the shoulders of a large man whom she had no idea how she could've missed.

She thought the women were gorgeous, but as she looked at this man, she had a much easier time understanding how someone could struggle to keep their hands off a person even with $500,000 dollars on the line.

"Good-Googly-Moogly..."

"Excuse me?" The man's voice was both heavenly and unfriendly, making the desk worker wonder if she should apologize or ask him to keep talking.

"I-I meant, umm... W-We usually have an extensive parent and child interview when considering an applicant, and I'm afraid that because of our waiting list it's unlikely that she'll be able to-"

"What's going on here...?"

Suddenly, a new woman emerged from a room in the back of the office with a look that said she too was interested to know why her office was suddenly so filled with beautiful individuals. freēnovelkiss.com

"We're interested in having our daughter enroll in your school. Can you help us with that?" Another of the women asked.

The woman who'd just arrived was actually the principal, and she was significantly more confused than her employee had been.

"I-I'm sorry, who are the parents of the child...?"

"All of us." the group responded unanimously.

One woman raised her hand shyly. "I-I'm just her stepmother though..."

The principal felt as if she had to pull out her brain and give it a good wash.

She turned to the only man in the group, because she was hoping he would help her make sense of all of this.

"I'm sorry, Mr..?"

"Carter." Abaddon answered.

"Mr. Carter... Are you perhaps married to all of these women...?"

"Yes."

"...W-Which one is your legal spouse, I mean."

"These ten." He proceeded to point out everyone except the blonde who was holding one of his hands.

"I-I'm not sure if you're joking, but.."

'Carter' dug in his pocket and pulled out a genuine marriage certificate with all of their names on it.

Principal Jeanette's husband was a paralegal, so she knew full well what a real government document looked like.

She just couldn't believe it's authenticity.

And yet, the proof was quite literally staring her in the face.

"I-I see... Will you all step into my office then? Mrs. Adabayo here will take your daughter here and get her tested while we conduct our interview."

"Oh? Alright then."

Abaddon lifted Courtney off her perch on his shoulders and placed her on the floor in front of the welcoming desk.

Lillian: "Do your best, dear."

Eris: "We'll be right in here when you come back."

Lailah: "R-Remember not to flip your G's again, and try not to alternate between English and Japanese when you talk so she can understand you!"

Courtney simply held two thumbs up as a nervous Lailah was slowly drug away by the husband holding onto her.

When all of the adults were in the back room and the door was closed, Courtney looked up at Mrs. Adebayo who was still staring in the space where she last saw Abaddon.

"...Yo!"

"H-Hm? O-Oh, sorry dear. L-Let's go get you tested, shall we..?"

The desk worker finally stood up and took Courtney's hand before she began leading her down the hallway.

"Just out of curiosity... Does your d-daddy perhaps-"

"No."

"O-Okay."

-

Abaddon and his wives had agreed to a strict set of rules before coming here.

They would 'convince' the principal that any existing barriers out of Courtney's control should be overlooked, but whether or not she was fit for the school or not would be entirely dependent on her ability.

So while Courtney was off doing her part, the parents were in their own meeting- figuratively charming the pants off of the principal.

Since Tatiana and Lillian were previously maids, they were experts on small talk and making new people feel comfortable.

This allowed Abaddon and Lailah to sit quietly to themselves for a bit.

One of them was using their divine senses to observe Courtney while she took her test.

The other was searching his brain for any possible explanation as to why he still had his powers.

It was easy to determine which was which...

Abaddon was entirely too perplexed to simply let this sensation pass.

He thought maybe the business in outer space was one big fluke since he didn't actually enter a new world or a foreign domain.

But now, he had no choice but to admit that something else was afoot.

The seal placed on his powers wasn't one that he could just wiggle out of.

The contract was designed specifically to grow with his power since he had willingly accepted it himself.

He should definitely be feeling it's effects right now; especially since his wives and any other nevi'im who left Tehom were clearly still affected by the laws.

And as much as he didn't like it, he knew that a particular old couple might have some answers.

'I really need to pay a visit to the old man...I should give him a damned residence in the abyss by this point.'

"...er..?"

"M...rt..?"

"Mr. Carter?"

Audrina gave Abaddon a brief elbow in the side to get his attention.

He looked up to find the principal staring at him as if she'd just asked a question.

"S-Sorry, work stuff on the brain." he lied with a smile.

"Oh? Well that's funny, since I'm curious about what exactly you do for it."

"...Crypto currency." Abaddon lied.

The group had all put together quite the elaborate background stories in the car on the way here.

Truthfully, crypto currency would be one of the only ways for Abaddon to explain his enormous amount of free time, lack of a societal presence, and literal infinite wealth.

"R-Really? You don't look like the type at all." she thought for sure that Abaddon was a personal trainer of some kind and was seriously considering asking for a few sessions.

She was completely unaware that the gils could hear all of her thoughts and seconds away from unmaking her a few times to vent their frustrations.

Her life was saved by a sudden knock at the door which marked Courtney's return.

Upon entering the room, the little girl beamed with pride as she flew into her father's lap.

'How was it?'

'Easier than Aunt Lusamine.' Courtney nodded in satisfaction.

She didn't actually know what that phrase meant, but she heard her old man say it a lot, so she had begun to parrot him whenever it was just the two of them talking.

And it made her father strangely proud.

'That's my girl.'

The two discreetly fist bumped without any prior communication.

Mrs. Adebayo whispered something into the Principal's ear that the dragons pretended they couldn't hear.

"Well?" Lailah asked, much less anxious than before.

Principal Jeanette smiled openly at the family.

"I believe it might be time for us to discuss tuition..."

Abaddon just pulled out a checkbook without batting an eye.

Money wasn't a big. concern of his right now, instead he was focused on a different, much more important subject...

- 1 Hour Later, Tehom

"This is your personal guard, Courtney. You'll be taking them to school with you everyday starting next Monday."

"Wooaahhhh..."

Courtney stared slack jawed at the small outfit of forty highly trained abyss dragons all kneeling in front of her for inspection.

Behind her, each of the wives were staring at their husband with much less awe and much more annoyance.

"Absolutely not." They all said in unison.

"Eh?"
