Jiang Ye had already given his wife a thorough up-and-down inspection before asking,
"Where are you guys heading?"
Jiang’s mother, seeing the uncleaned smudge on her son’s face, found it quite displeasing and snipped,
"Do we need to report to you where we’re going?"

The group finally got into the car, with Jiang Ye in the passenger seat and the three ladies in the backseat.
Before getting into the car, Lu Jing took out some wet wipes from her bag for the man, who was currently cleaning his face in the rearview mirror.

He was just smiling when suddenly he caught sight of the figure stepping down from the passenger side of the car behind,

"Be careful, wife."
Lu Jing could only roll her eyes, given that both elders were watching.
"Alright, could you not exaggerate so much?" she whispered in his ear.
But, of course, these words fell on deaf ears, as he wasn’t one to listen.
Having seen enough, the two ladies then walked arm in arm into the hotel.
Now that the son had arrived, the daughter-in-law naturally wouldn’t need the same care from her mother-in-law.
With Jiang Ye’s considerate manner, there was no need for others anyway.
As the elders entered the hotel first, Jiang Huai had no choice but to come over,

Upon calling out this name, he was met with a stern glare from his elder brother,
"What are you calling her?"

Besides, they had agreed on addressing each other however they wanted.
But, facing his elder brother, Jiang Huai didn’t dare have any objections and quickly corrected himself,
"Hello sister-in-law!"
Lu Jing was genuinely embarrassed and tugged at the man’s clothes from behind, implying that he should stop.
Only then did Jiang Ye decide to drop it.
However, Jiang Huai once again started smiling broadly,
"Sister-in-law, I have a little nephew or niece, right?"

"We don’t know yet."
The couple hadn’t planned to find out the sex of the baby beforehand, deciding to let it be a surprise a few months later!
After all, whether it’s a boy or a girl, it wouldn’t matter.
