Chapter 610: Chapter 610: Very Healing

"Okay, Grandma."

Ivana said happily.

Seeing the old lady’s eyes red, she felt a bit guilty, considering how elderly Lady Keane was, and how her emotions shouldn’t be stirred too intensely. However, given how poor Leon’s mother’s condition was, not bringing her back wasn’t an option either.

When Ivana called Leon, he was very surprised. He had thought it would take a few days for Ivana to persuade Grandma, not expecting it to be resolved so quickly.

Leon shared the good news with his father.

His father was astonished: "Are you serious? Your Grandma... is she really able to accept Serena?"

Leon nodded: "Yes, absolutely. You can rest assured, Dad."

Leon’s father was so moved he couldn’t calm down, wiping away the tears in his eyes. With joy, he said, "Leon, you’re truly blessed to have married such an intelligent wife. You must cherish her for the rest of your life. Once I return, I must thank her properly."

Leon felt a sense of pride in his eyes. Ivana was so wonderful that he naturally wanted to cherish her well. Just like how his dad treated his mom, whatever happened in the future, he would always be by her side, taking care of her.

To Serena, she didn’t know what it meant to go home.

Serena clutched her doll and refused to leave. Leon’s father could only tell her that the landlord had dealt with the house and wouldn’t rent it to them anymore, so they had to move out.

Only then did Serena obediently follow Leon’s father out.

On the plane, Serena didn’t dare look at the scenery outside. She held her doll, shivering in Leon’s father’s arms, softly saying, "Baby, don’t be afraid. Mama will protect you."

The passenger next to them turned around, confused by Serena’s unusual behavior, but was quickly deterred by Leon’s sharp gaze.

Leon hated it when others looked at Serena with strange eyes. Their expressions weren’t just odd but also filled with pity and sympathy. Although Serena’s experiences indeed called for sympathy, Leon detested such emotions displayed in the eyes of others.

He would care for his mother; it wasn’t up to others to pity her.

Several hours later.

The three returned to the villa in Ravenswood.

Leon got out first and opened the backseat door for Serena, extending his slender fingers toward her. But Serena was too scared to get out, still holding her doll and curling up in Leon’s father’s embrace.

"It’s alright, Serena. This is our home. We will live here from now on; there’s nothing to be afraid of."

Leon’s father gently coaxed Serena, giving Leon a look suggesting he should retrieve the luggage first as he slowly persuaded Serena to exit the car.

Perhaps Leon wasn’t aware, but Serena was very afraid of unfamiliar environments, so when Derrick found him, and knowing Leon would soon come to find him, he chose not to move away.

Were it not for Serena’s well-being, he wouldn’t have wanted to bring her back either.

"Daddy."

"Daddy."

Two tender voices called out.

Leon looked up to see two identical handsome little boys running toward him. Behind them, a woman was walking slowly, smiling warmly—it was Ivana, welcoming him home.

"Daddy, I’ll help you with the luggage."

Timmy enthusiastically rolled up his sleeves, wanting to assist Leon.

"Little brother, you’re still too small, let me help Daddy."

Ian pulled Timmy behind him, acting the part of the big brother.

Seeing the two little ones so loving, Leon laughed. He put down the luggage and compared their small heads with his palms: "You’re not even as tall as the luggage. How could you help Daddy with the suitcase? Let Daddy handle it. When you’re older, you can help Daddy then!"

"I’ll grow up quickly!"

Timmy said confidently.

At this moment, Serena stepped out of the luxurious car. Hearing the children’s voices, she looked at Timmy and Ian.

"Oh!" Timmy exclaimed at Serena’s unfamiliar face: "Are you Daddy’s biological mommy? Hello, Grandma, I’m Timmy Monroe."

Timmy gave Serena a childish smile.

Ian looked at Serena with a still cool little face, showing no particular expression as if Serena was just a stranger to him.

"Biological Grandma? Timmy Monroe?" Serena looked at Timmy, seemingly processing what he said.

"Yes." Timmy grinned, pulling Ian’s little hand: "Grandma, his name is Ian Keane, and he’s my brother! Do we look alike? Because we’re twins."

Timmy proudly introduced Ian to Serena.

Leon’s father stepped out of the car. It was his first time seeing Leon’s two children, especially Timmy, who looked like a smaller version of Leon but with a more healing smile.

He was immediately excited, especially seeing Serena’s expression. She didn’t reject Timmy—in fact, she seemed interested in him.

To have someone who didn’t even recognize her own son interested in anyone else but him was an amazing piece of news.

Leon didn’t expect that little Timmy would bring him such a surprise.

He became more convinced that bringing his father and Serena back was a very correct decision.

"Timmy, Grandma just returned and isn’t familiar with our house. Can you show her around?"

Ivana already understood Serena’s situation, including her fear of Leon, which Leon had fully disclosed. Seeing Serena’s gaze toward Timmy, Ivana had a bold idea.

"Okay, Mommy." Timmy smiled happily. He didn’t run to Serena right away but first asked Ian: "Brother, will you help me show Grandma around?"

Ian furrowed his little brows. He wasn’t quick to accept a new grandma, especially one who seemed a bit dazed and silly.

"No, I have other things to do."

"Okay! I’ll come and play with you later then."

"Okay."

Ian maintained his cool demeanor.

"You must be Grandpa?" Timmy approached Serena, raising his small head to address Leon’s father.

"Good kid, I am Grandpa." Leon’s father reached into his pocket awkwardly, having nothing to give the little ones as a gift: "Grandpa and Grandma came in a hurry and didn’t get a chance to buy you and your brother gifts. Next time we’ll make it up to you."

"No problem, Grandpa, my brother and I have lots of toys." Timmy’s understanding nature took Leon’s father by surprise.

He turned his gaze to Ivana, who was by Leon’s side, filled with approving eyes, appreciating how well she had raised the child.

"Grandma, Timmy will show you around our home."

Timmy reached out, his tender little hand holding onto Serena’s.

To everyone’s surprise, Serena didn’t let go of Timmy. Instead, she held the doll in one hand while Timmy led her, following the little boy to explore the surroundings.
