Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 131 - 112: Is She a Mermaid?
The woman’s waterfall of smooth, ink-black hair cascaded wetly over her delicate white shoulders. Her slender, fair arms were crossed at the edge of the pool, her fingertips tinged a faint pink.
A hazy mist swirled between them.
’Is she a female from the Mermaid Clan? Only a Mermaid could be this beautiful.’
Song Yi was so shocked he forgot to breathe. He couldn’t help but steal a quick glance. Her long, thick, ink-black hair clung wetly to her body, concealing most of her bare skin.
But it was more than enough to make any male’s imagination run wild.
"Who are you?" the man’s voice was frigid and arrogant, laced with undisguised anger.
Song Yi suppressed a sudden surge of irritation. Snapping back to his senses, he radiated intense anger toward the woman who had trespassed in his private space.
An Jin didn’t answer. Instead, she held her breath and ducked her head under the water.
Her ink-black hair fanned out on the surface like seaweed, and gentle ripples spread from the center, making her look even more like a Mermaid.
’She was utterly shocked. Hadn’t this Eagle Beast gone back to the main city to find a Witch Doctor for her face? Why did he turn back midway?’
Her clothes lay at the far edge of the pool, out of her reach. She could only sink deeper into the water. Besides, with the Shark Pearl, she couldn’t drown.
Bubbles popped on the surface of the water.
Song Yi was speechless. ’Is this woman an idiot? Is she trying to drown herself?’
Just as An Jin was trying her best to remain unseen, she suddenly felt herself being lifted into the air. The next moment, she was yanked right out of the pool.
The large window was half-open.
The breeze made An Jin shiver. Fortunately, a moment later, the man picked up the robe she had left by the pool and quickly tossed it over her.
"Hurry and get dressed! Don’t you know you can’t show yourself like this in front of a strange male?" Song Yi’s irritation grew.
Everything went dark. After fumbling for a while, she finally managed to poke her wet head out of the loose robe.
She looked at the man’s grim expression, blinking her large, dark eyes. "Didn’t you leave? How are you back so soon?"
Only once An Jin was covered by the clothing did Song Yi turn to look at her. Their eyes met.
It was the familiar handsome man with golden hair and green eyes.
Yet, something about him felt different.
Song Yi didn’t speak. He scanned her from head to toe, his expression unreadable, fairly certain that this was the woman Song Ke had brought back.
When he saw the wound on her shoulder, most of his anger instantly vanished. His voice softened a little. "I am Song Yi, Song Ke’s older brother..."
He paid no mind to the stunned woman and walked toward a wooden lounge chair.
He usually liked to sit here and enjoy the breeze from the window after bathing.
The man wore a robe of golden feathers, his features deep-set and cold. As he moved, his collar hung loosely, half-open to reveal a firm chest that would make anyone’s heart pound and face flush.
His tall, imposing figure leaned back in the lounge chair. Song Yi tilted his head, resting his chin on one hand. His neck was long, his Adam’s apple prominent and alluring.
The loose, dark gold robe shifted with him, revealing a sliver of pale skin and the elegant curve of his collarbone. Droplets of moisture clung to him, trickling down his full chest muscles... 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
His long fingers slid upward, the flex of muscle and sinew conveying a sense of power as he pulled the loose collar closed.
"You’re the woman my younger brother abducted, aren’t you? What tribe are you from?" Song Yi asked, frowning at her, his voice low, cool, and bewitching.
An Jin snapped out of her daze. "The Sheng’an Tribe," she said quickly.
"Sheng’an Tribe?"
He hadn’t heard of it.
"Our tribe was just established last year," An Jin explained.
Song Yi nodded, his expression cold and aloof, his demeanor serious.
The man was tall and imposing, his features sharp and severe. But the arrogant, scornful look in his eyes had softened slightly, and the menacing air from before was gone.
He gave a slight nod and offered her a gentle smile. "My apologies."
Song Yi paused. He seemed unaccustomed to using such a gentle tone, and it came out a bit stiff and awkward. "I apologize on my younger brother’s behalf. Your tribe is anxiously searching for you."
"Dry yourself off and get dressed. I will take you back now, and I will offer your tribe compensation."
Song Yi tossed her a piece of animal hide.
