Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 120 - 107: Plot Hodgepodge
Of course, she didn’t want to go out and find a new tribe.
Because everything An Jin had said was true.
But Shana refused to admit defeat. She was considered beautiful among the females and had been the center of attention since childhood. Doted on by everyone in the tribe, she had no idea how dangerous the outside world truly was. "Do you think I care about this tribe of yours? Let’s go! We’re leaving to find a better one!"
Shana led the few males away in a grand procession, and they soon vanished into the jungle and the night.
An Jin couldn’t be bothered with them. ’Good riddance,’ she thought. ’I didn’t want to recruit such troublesome people anyway.’
And An Jin’s guess about Shana’s group proved correct.
The small tribes were too poor, and the proud Shana looked down on them, unwilling to starve and freeze just to join them.
After trekking for two or three days, they still hadn’t found a large tribe to their liking. With too few people to hunt enough prey, the group was already ravenous.
It had just rained the day before, making the mountain path slippery and muddy. Dragging their exhausted bodies, they accidentally tumbled down the mountainside.
Too tired to even get back up, they lay sprawled on the filthy ground, barely clinging to life like corpses.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE.
The sound of heavy footsteps reached their ears.
’Has someone come to rescue us?’ Shana weakly lifted her head, only for a spray of fresh blood to splatter across her face and into her eyes.
"AHH—"
She screamed.
Not far away, Zuo Mi had stopped breathing. In his last moments, he had tried to pull her up and run, but someone had viciously pierced his chest with sharp claws.
His blood-soaked arm was still stretched out in her direction, his eyes, with their burst vessels, fixed on her, unable to rest in peace.
"Sob..." Tears streamed down Shana’s face. She tried to crawl across the ground to grab his hand. This was Zuo Mi, the Wolf Beast who loved her most, the one who had treated her best since they were children.
"Well, look at this. There’s a female here, and she’s not bad looking. Looks like our luck is pretty good today!"
Several vicious Tiger Beasts had sadistically slaughtered the other Beastmen to vent their frustration. Hearing the female’s scream, they turned their heads in pleasant surprise, strode over, and slung her over a shoulder.
Shana screamed and struggled, trying to break free, but her outstretched hands only moved farther and farther away from the Beastmen lying in pools of their own blood.
’Sob, I regret this so much. I truly, truly regret this.’
’Why did I have to convince Zuo Mi and the others to leave the tribe? Even as slaves, we would have at least stayed alive, and we could have been freed in a few years.’
"What’s with all the noise? So annoying!"
The Tiger Beast threw her to the ground. He had been exiled from his tribe for his numerous crimes, becoming a Wandering Beast, and had no pity for selfish, arrogant females like her.
The female’s struggles and sobs were like a spark, instantly igniting the desire in the hearts of the Beastmen.
They had killed the last female they had, and it had been months since they’d had any release. One by one, they descended upon her.
From the dark, deep jungle came the sounds of a violent struggle. A shower of leaves rustled to the ground, mingling with the female’s screams and cries.

Having merged with the Luoten Tribe, the tribe’s population had now officially broken the 200 mark.
And yet, the morale score hadn’t dropped.
Slaves were not counted as tribe members, so the system didn’t include their morale.
An Jin had no intention of adopting a soft approach with them. Only by deepening the class divide between ordinary Beastmen and slaves would they be more motivated to build up the tribe and escape their servitude.
But they still had to be provided with housing.
There weren’t enough houses in the tribe, so the Beastmen spontaneously began to clear wasteland, expand the territory, and build new houses according to the original specifications.
With more people, the workforce grew.
New buildings sprang up one after another on the once-desolate land, and tender shoots emerged from the fertile fields, mu by mu.
"BAA~" "CLUCK CLUCK~" The tamed flocks of sheep and chickens lazed about on the grass in front of the houses, leisurely grazing and catching insects. Their little life in the pen was quite carefree.
People could casually stroll through the grass and easily find several fist-sized, milky-white bird eggs.
A breakfast of steamed eggs sprinkled with a little coarse salt was a delicious treat, and the mischievous cubs especially loved it.
After last year’s bountiful harvest, the Beastmen had planted a new round of seeds in the fields. Following a recent rainfall, palm-length seedlings shot up from the ground, their roots soaking in the puddled water.
