Chapter 112: Chapter 103: Trying On Clothes

News of Gu Yin’s advancement quickly spread throughout the tribe, shocking the Beastmen. Fortunately, Gu Yin was no longer a Wandering Beast, or the panic would have scared them to death.

Previously, other tribes hadn’t dared to rashly invade because the tribe had two Sixth Rank Beastmen standing guard.

Now, Gu Yin had become a Seventh Rank, the only High Rank individual in the tribe. They had never even seen a Seventh Rank Beastman in their lives!

Now, forget the surrounding tribes—even if some cities wanted to annex their tribe, they wouldn’t be scared in the slightest!

[Tribal Combat Power Increased: C→B↑]

An Jin was once again deeply shocked. She hadn’t expected that the increase in Gu Yin’s combat power alone would directly raise the tribe’s strength from C to B after it had been stagnant for months.

Two more days passed, and Ling Hong and the other Beastmen in the tribe had all finished growing their new coats.

The Silver Wolf’s form was sleek and agile. His fur was even whiter, fluffier, softer, and thicker than before, making him look like a walking, oversized plush toy.

On a whim, An Jin collected the fur he had shed and some scrap fabric and made several fluffy little white balls.

She had to admit, the feel of these plush toys far surpassed that of any artificial fur. They were wonderful to cuddle with at night.

...

This year’s generation of silkworms all produced pure white silk. However, pure white cloth looked a bit like mourning attire and quickly became visually boring.

So, An Jin bought primary-colored dyes from the dimensional store’s mall, mixed the colors herself, and dyed many pieces of cloth in either magnificent hues or sophisticated grays.

A few days later, she made a set of clothes for Gu Yin, Ling Hong, and Xi, wanting them to try them on to see if the material and fit were right.

"No way, no way, don’t tell me there’s still someone who hasn’t received clothes made by Ah Jin~"

The Little Merfolk was the first to receive his clothes, and he couldn’t help but show off in front of Gu Yin and Ling Hong, so smug he was practically floating.

The Silver Wolf lay low to the ground and flicked his tail at Xi, his heart filled with anticipation. ’Will I get a set, too?’ he wondered.

"HISS~" The python coiled in the corner was woken up, its mood instantly souring.

Gu Yin lifted his upper body, and his black-and-red serpentine tail whipped past like the wind. The next second, Xi’s wail of misery echoed.

’Jin’er finished making clothes?’

After swatting the irksome Merfolk, Gu Yin’s mood instantly brightened, and he slithered delightfully into the house. Ling Hong followed eagerly.

Just then, An Jin walked to the doorway and handed them the exquisitely hand-sewn clothes. "Go on, try them on. If they don’t fit, I’ll alter them."

She simply wanted to see how the native Beastmen would react to different styles of clothing. Since Gu Yin and the others were closest to her, they became her first test subjects.

The three of them didn’t know her intentions. They only felt the weight of the clothes in their hands, and a bittersweet feeling bloomed in their chests.

To think that in their lifetime, they would receive such a precious gift from a female. If An Jin hadn’t insisted, they wouldn’t have been able to bring themselves to wear them at all.

Before they put on the clothes, however, An Jin gave them a few smaller items—little triangular garments.

She couldn’t accept them wearing the outer clothes without anything underneath.

Ling Hong and Xi were baffled.

"..." Gu Yin suddenly seemed to realize something. He pressed his lips together and discreetly took a few steps back.

Ling Hong also belatedly realized where this piece of clothing was meant to be worn. He silently lowered his head, his tall wolf ears drooping amidst his silver-white hair, the tips burning red.

Only Xi, the silly fish, was full of delighted surprise. He tugged on An Jin’s arm, asking one question after another. "Ah Jin, this little piece of clothing is so strange! I’ve never seen anything like it. Where does it go? Can you put it on for me?"

Due to the propriety between men and women, this wasn’t something she could easily explain. An Jin shot a look at Ling Hong and Gu Yin.

Meeting her gaze, Gu Yin simply offered a faint smile and looked back calmly, then took two more inconspicuous steps backward.

An Jin: "...??"

Ling Hong, on the other hand, was more obedient. After taking the small triangle, he frowned and hesitated for a moment. His face grew redder and redder, and then, as if to hide, he zipped into the adjacent room and disappeared.

BANG.

The sound of the door closing was rushed and apprehensive.

About an hour passed, and there was still no sign of him. Just as An Jin was about to ask Gu Yin to check on him, the tightly shut door creaked open, just a tiny crack.

Then, a foot emerged.

Followed by another foot. Ling Hong shuffled out, taking forever to move his body out of the room. He was bare-chested, with only a pair of large white shorts below his waist drawing all the attention...

He stood stiffly before them, completely at a loss. His palms were sweating, and his fluffy wolf tail was wrapped tightly around his waist, creating a particularly amusing scene.

An Jin’s face turned red from holding back her laughter. ’It’s just a pair of underwear, why is he so shy? Isn’t Ling Hong usually pretty nonchalant when he wears those incredibly short beast-hide kilts?’

’The Beastmen’s acceptance level for underwear is way too low.’

As for Xi and Gu Yin, when they saw what Ling Hong was wearing, they both froze as if electrocuted and instinctively took a few steps back in unison.

The first thought that popped into their heads was, ’Why is the female insisting we cover ourselves? Is she... dissatisfied with us?’

Their emotions immediately became complicated and uncomfortable, and their resistance to that small piece of clothing grew even stronger.

After An Jin handed the new clothes to Ling Hong, he looked as if he’d been granted amnesty, snatching the clothes and darting back to his room.

Another hour passed, and the door opened once more.

When she saw him, An Jin was utterly stunned. It was true what they say: clothes make the man.

Ling Hong already had a great physique—broad shoulders, a narrow waist, long legs, and a set of sexy, solid eight-pack abs. He had the classic athletic build of a Greek statue.

He was handsome and well-built, making him a walking mannequin when he wore clothes.

He wore a moon-white inner shirt, the thin fabric hinting at the muscles beneath. A dark blue overcoat with a wolf motif was draped over his broad shoulders, further accentuating his tall, elegant figure.

For his lower body, he wore simple trousers. The left pant leg was intentionally designed to be rolled up halfway, giving him the look of a roguish delinquent from an anime. This added a hint of ruthless, roguish charm to Ling Hong’s naturally cold, proud, and serious demeanor.

A black beast-hide belt cinched his waist, perfectly showcasing Ling Hong’s ideal inverted-triangle physique of broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

Seeing that An Jin’s gaze hadn’t left him for a good while, Ling Hong’s previous gloominess vanished, replaced by a strange sense of joy.

’She... likes his body?’

Gu Yin glanced at the dumbstruck An Jin, a flicker of jealousy rising in his heart. He shot a dangerous, cold glare at Ling Hong. "If you’re done changing, get out of the way. Others still need to try theirs on."
