Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 104 - 97: Plot Hodgepodge
The females liked the floral scent, so the males would gather the flowers while out hunting.
Cured meats, salted and smoked, were also hung to dry from the eaves, along with corn cobs and peppers strung on vines.
An Jin couldn’t help but marvel at the Beastmen’s ingenuity; it was something even she hadn’t thought of.
The tribe’s grain yield this year was so high that the storehouses couldn’t hold it all. So, they used vines or thin strips of beast hide to hang the surplus from the eaves to dry, which both extended its storage time and made it easy to grab and eat.
The entire tribe was overflowing with an enthusiasm and happiness that she had never seen back in the Luoten Tribe.
Pride swelled in An Jin’s heart. It was her hard work that had led these Beastmen toward prosperity, freeing them from poverty and hunger.
Suddenly, she remembered splitting off from the Luoten Tribe. Their Clan Leader, Luoten, had roared with a ferocious expression that he would definitely come to take them back!
Now, more than half a year had passed with no sign of him. ’Given his narrow-minded and vengeful nature, who knows what he’s plotting.’
But An Jin wasn’t afraid. ’If they really fought, who’s to say who would win between her tribe now and the Luoten Tribe?’

After half a year of development, the tribe’s overall stats had all risen, successfully pushing it into the ranks of the stronger medium-sized tribes in the vicinity.
The tribe’s population had its ups and downs. New cubs were born and new Beastmen migrated in, but of course, some Beastmen also left.
An Jin couldn’t help but think of Ling Hong again, a sour feeling welling up in her heart.
’It’s already been half a year. He’s probably really gone for good.’
A while ago, they had soaked and dried the cocoons shed by the Water Giant Worms. Afterward, the long threads could be easily peeled off and, using any random object as a core, wound into balls of thread of various sizes.
The resulting silk thread was long and tough, with a natural, pure white color, making it perfect for sewing clothes.
An Jin was sitting on the bed, about to weave a small piece of cloth to test the thread, when Mi Yin came over and wrapped her in his arms, nuzzling his head into the crook of her neck. "What are you doing?"
"My hands feel clumsy. I’m just going to weave for a bit to practice," An Jin replied, her head lowered as she focused meticulously on her work.
But out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a black-and-red snake tail, over ten meters long, twitching on the floor before coiling around her ankle.
’...’ She guessed what he wanted. Swallowing hard, she felt her lower back begin to ache already.
She broke free from Mi Yin’s embrace and shot to her feet, about to find an excuse to make an early escape.
But the next second, his snake tail hooked around her waist and pulled her back into his embrace.
"Jin’er, you haven’t spent time with me in so long."
Mi Yin snatched the needle and thread from her hands, tossing them to the floor. He would only allow her to look at him.
The man’s face was flushed. He lowered his head to kiss and nuzzle against her, his thin lips pressing against her ear as he spoke in a low, husky voice, "We haven’t... in so many days..."
His kisses left An Jin’s head spinning. She shifted her gaze and met his deep, dark-red vertical pupils, which held a hint of hazy passion.
"Jin’er, I want you..."
His hands began to move restlessly, trying to pull off her clothes.
The tip of his tail rubbed back and forth against her thigh. The flush on Mi Yin’s face deepened, and his breathing grew heavier and more rapid.
Mi Yin was clearly lost in a daze of passion, his mind no longer clear. He had completely surrendered his body to instinct...
After a little more struggling, he finally managed to push the female down onto the bed and had just taken off two articles of her clothing when a Beastman’s shout suddenly came from outside the door. "Clan Leader, a Silver Wolf Beastman has come to the tribe!"
"I think it’s Lord Ling Hong!"
’What?!’
An Jin snapped back to her senses. She quickly pulled her clothes back on and scrambled out of Mi Yin’s embrace. In her struggle to get away, she accidentally stepped on his snake tail.
"HISS~"
Seeing the tail loosen from the pain, she didn’t have time to apologize. She seized the opportunity to crawl out of his hold and make a run for the door. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The moment her soft, warm body slipped away, Mi Yin’s hazy consciousness snapped back into focus. He quickly followed after her. "Jin’er, where are you going?"
His breathing was slightly unsteady. He forced down the lazy, unsatisfied desire in his voice, feigning a calm and cool demeanor.
An Jin pulled on her beast-hide shoes and glanced back at him. "A tribesman said a Silver Wolf Beastman has arrived. It might be Ling Hong! He might be back!"
"..." The atmosphere around Mi Yin instantly dropped, turning so cold it felt like ice was flaking off him.
He pressed his thin lips together, his eyes filled with hostility, but he remained silent and followed her out.
Having been interrupted at such a crucial moment, Mi Yin was in a terrible mood.
’Those Beastmen really have no tact.’
’Then again... has that Silver Wolf really come back?’
