Chapter 298: Stay and help

*~Aurora’s POV~*

He looked at me.

"Tell me! Tell me! this damn father of this baby."

"Leon.."

I looked him in the eyes, my heart swelling and dropping.

"It is Leon’s," I said, spilling it out, not even holding back a little.

He paused as he walked. He took a few steps back. His lips parted in disbelief.

"It is what?"

"It is Leon’s. It is Leon’s," I said out loud.

Then he banged his hand on the table.

"Tell me. Tell me to my eyes that this baby is a bastard. That you are now pregnant even before we do a wedding."

"It is not a bastard, and you don’t belong to me. You don’t own me. You don’t control me. This is a legitimate child of the Death Pack and not yours."

He was about to raise his hands to me, but then he halted. He turned sideways to Sarah and started walking toward her.

"Darius, don’t," I cried, grabbing his hand, but he pulled away from me.

He walked toward Sarah, and then his hands tightened around her neck. Around her neck.

"Darius, don’t. Please," I begged, but he paid no attention.

"Many have watched me kill bitches. This is the first of what I will do to you," he said, his eyes red.

Then Zion started begging.

"Please don’t. Please don’t kill her. Please, she is pregnant," he said. "She is pregnant with my child. Please."

Darius paused as he slowly released Sarah.

He said, "What?"

"She is pregnant with my child. Please don’t do that. Please, I beg you. Be kind, Darius."

Then Darius left.

Darius’s mouth turned into a smirk as he turned to Rebekah. Rebekah’s mouth also slowly parted as she walked forward.

"So you mean that this damn human girl is pregnant with you? Are you serious, Zion?"

"Yes. Yes, I am. And please promise me you will not kill Rebekah. She is pregnant. Imagine killing a pregnant mother."

"So you are not only seeing a witch, you are also seeing a human girl, and you are also getting them pregnant?"

"I love her. I love her with all of my heart. Please don’t do that."

"Aww, you love her," Rebekah said, and he nodded.

Then she laughed. "And what was that before you started putting your damn dick inside of her and got her pregnant?"

Then Nina whispered something to Rebekah.

"What?"

And Rebekah walked toward Sarah and grabbed her hand. She sniffed Sarah’s body, then turned to Darius.

"What’s going on, Rebekah?"

"You know that this human girl is not only human, but a witch," she said.

Then Darius coughed. "What?"

"She’s a witch, and she’s pregnant," said the human general.

Darius walked closer to Sarah, and then he too started smelling her body. Sarah cried as anger brewed inside of me. I could not even do anything to protect her. I just watched all this horrible thing. This torture.

Then she stood up, and they stopped. Darius turned to Zion. Then Rebekah laughed again.

"Before getting her damn pregnant—"

He slammed his hands on Sarah’s neck, and she fell to the ground, unconscious.

"No!" I yelled as Zion rushed to her.

"Please wake up, Sarah. Wake up."

Then Darius walked closer to Zion, and he did the same to him. Zion held his hand and fought back, but Rebekah and Nina were quick to intervene.

They fought Zion and brought him down to his knees.

He yelped in pain, and slowly he went unconscious.

I couldn’t take it anymore.

I stood up so fast the chair behind me screeched across the floor, the sound slicing through the room. "Kill me too!" I screamed at them, my voice cracking. "If you’re going to destroy her, then kill me as well!"

Darius slowly turned his head toward me.

He was smiling.

Not a calm smile. Not a polite one. A twisted, cruel smile that made my stomach churn. He enjoyed this. Every scream, every tear, every ounce of fear in the room fed him.

I rushed forward, but my legs gave out halfway. I stumbled and fell to my knees, my palms scraping the cold stone floor. I cried out, sobs ripping through my chest as my body folded in on itself.

Darius laughed.

He laughed like this was entertainment.

"Look at you," he said lazily. "So emotional. So weak."

I shook my head violently. "Please," I begged. "Please, just stop. This isn’t right. She’s pregnant. She hasn’t done anything wrong."

He stood up and walked toward me slowly, deliberately, like a predator enjoying the chase. When he reached me, he grabbed my chin and forced my face up to his.

"Child or no child," he whispered, his breath hot against my skin, "she will be mine."

My breath hitched.

"Everything she owns is mine," he continued calmly. "Her body. Her power. Her future." His lips curled. "Including that child."

My heart stopped.

I stared at him, disbelief crashing into me like a wave. He... accepted the baby? After all of this?

Rebekah stepped forward sharply. "Darius, that doesn’t make any sense. The child is not—"

"Enough," he snapped.

The word hit the room like a slap.

Rebekah froze mid-step. Her mouth opened as if to argue, but one look at his face shut her down completely. She stepped back, silent, furious, but powerless.

I swallowed hard, my chest burning.

Before anyone could speak again, the doors burst open.

A demon rushed in, breathless, panic written all over his face. He bowed quickly and leaned toward Darius, whispering urgently into his ear.

I watched Darius’s expression change.

The amusement vanished first.

Then the confidence.

His eyes widened.

"What did you say?" he asked quietly.

The demon whispered again, faster this time.

Darius straightened slowly, his jaw tightening. The room went dead silent, the air thick and suffocating.

His gaze swept across us, sharp and calculating now.

"Clear the room," he ordered.

Rebekah frowned. "Darius—"

"Now."

No one argued.

As they began moving, I stayed frozen, my heart pounding violently in my chest. Whatever that demon had told him... it changed everything.

Darius looked back at me one last time.

I couldn’t take it anymore.

I stood up so fast the chair behind me screeched across the floor, the sound slicing through the room. "Kill me too!" I screamed at them, my voice cracking. "If you’re going to destroy her, then kill me as well!"

Darius looked back at me one last time. And then he rushed out, I just stared at his back and Rebecca and all of them follows him, confused on what’s happening.

I rushed to Sarah and thankfully she is still breathing and then I saw the one of smallest window open... I turned to the window and back to Sarah..we can’t both pass though that exit so it’s either I leave or I stay and help.
