Fated To Four Alphas Even Though I Am Mute-Chapter 52: I Love YOu
Dylan’s POV
My brothers and I were still in bed with Sofia after having a wild night. The sex was great as usual and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Heaven was the only thing I could think of. I wanted to go see her to make sure she was doing okay.
I couldn’t even sleep at night. I kept tossing and turning.
Sofia was trailing her fingers down Damon’s chest. I needed to look for a way to get her out of the room so that I could go see Heaven.
"Sofia, you’re still moving into this wing right?" I asked even though I knew the answer.
She turned to look at me with a smile. "Of course. I need to be close to my babies," she said kissing Damon and touching Desmond.
"Why don’t you get maids to prepare the room or you. And get them to use the purple colour that you love so much to decorate it," I said
I was smiling wildly but in truth, I wasn’t truly worried about it. I was thinking of a way to keep her busy and away from me.
"You’re right, I’ll go tell the maids to get it ready and I’ll watch them till they’re done."She said.
Sofia kissed each of us, got down from the bed, and began to dress up. She smiled and left.
My brothers looked at me frowning.
"What’s going on?" Desmond asked.
" I’m going to get to see Heaven" I said plainly.
I didn’t want to explain further. I was in a hurry to go see her.
I expected Desmond to say something but he didn’t.
I went out of the hallway. First of all made sure that there was no sight of Sofia. Then I got out and went to her room that was three rooms away.
When I got to her door, I cleared my throat then raised my hand and knocked once but there was no answer. I knocked again but still no answer. I knocked for the third time and it was the same thing, there was no answer.
I placed my hand on the knob about to open the door but I stopped. But I thought that it would be an invasion of privacy so I stopped
Instead, I pressed my ears against the door hoping to hear anything with my wolf hearing but I heard absolutely nothing.
Then I began to panic as I remembered how she tried to run away before our wedding. Did she run away? Or something had happened to her.
I opened the door hurriedly but she wasn’t there. Then I began to panic more and more she had closed herself in the bathroom one time and was unconscious
I slowly walked towards the bathroom door hoping that she would be alright.
When I opened it I saw that she wasn’t there too and i breath a breath a sigh of relief. But since she wasn’t in her that left only one option that she ran away.
I walked out and was about to announce to my brothers that she had run away but I paused. She was still around the Mansion. I could still hear her scent.
Then I remember where she might be. The garden. She loves the garden so much even when we were kids.
I changed direction and headed for the back of the Mansion.
The garden was in bloom. It had been years since I came here. I walked down the stony path, my eyes kept looking around the place to find where she was. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Then I found her at the corner sitting on a bench.
Heaven was wearing a simple dress. She had her hair scarf wrapped around her head hit her beautiful red hair still flowed down to her waist.
She was holding a small daisy flower in her hand. She looked beautiful and peaceful despite the hell we put her through so I didn’t want to approach her to ruin it so I just stayed there and watched her quietly.
I began regretting a lot of things. I remembered ignoring the feeling I had for her because she was a weak wolf and I wanted to be a strong Alpha but now I realized that I was probably the weak one.
I took a step backward, and a twig snapped under my boot.
Heaven’s head looked up. Her eyes went wide when she saw me.
For a split second, I saw fear in her eyes and I hated myself for being the cause of it. But then, the fear faded, and she smiled at me.
The smile made my heart flutter. It was the warmest and most beautiful.
"Hey," I said awkwardly as I was walking over to the bench.
"Do you mind if I sit?"
She shook her head and shifted over slightly to make room for me. I sat down carefully, not getting too close to her and making her uncomfortable.
"How are you feeling? Does it still hurt?" I asked looking at her side.
She touched her cheek slowly and shook her head.
"That’s good," I said.
Then there was an awkward silence between us but I felt the need to break it cause it’s not every time I get an opportunity like this. To sit and have a conversation with Heaven.
"Did you get the cake I sent over? The chocolate one?" I asked hoping that she enjoyed it.
She looked up at me and smiled as she nodded. She killed like she really enjoyed it because of how bold her smile was.
I chuckled. "I’m glad. I know it’s your favorite. I remember... back when we were kids, you used to steal the chocolate frosting off my cupcakes."
Her smile widened, and for a moment, it felt like the good old days. It felt like the days before the bad blood. It’s felt like the days before all the bullying started.
I looked at her and thought that she should know about Damian’s current situation.
"Heaven, I want you to know something. Damian... he’s not okay." I said
She tilted her head and nodded
"He hasn’t eaten since yesterday. He’s locked himself in his study. He won’t talk to me, he won’t talk to Desmond, and he definitely won’t talk to Damon. He’s punishing himself."
Heaven’s looked concerned, which was crazy to me. Even after he had slapped her, she should be happy that he was miserable. But Heaven wasn’t like that, she was too good to feel happy for someone’s misfortune.
But it looked like she had heard about it already.
"Did you hear about it already?" I asked
She sighed and nodded. Then I said nothing about it again.
She looked down at the daisy in her lap and touched the petals gently.
I took a deep breath. I had something else to tell her but I didn’t know how she was going to take it.
"There’s something else," I said
She looked up at me again.
"Sofia...," I hesitated.
"Sofia is going to be moving to the East Wing."
Heaven went still like she was completely frozen. She didn’t even blink.
"It’s for the birthday preparations. Since she shares a birthday with us, we decided that it would be best if we stayed close to prepare the party better," I said.
It was a lie. Well, it was a some of it was a lie, or maybe most of it though. I was going to say the truth but the way Heaven looked at me I don’t think she would be able to forgive me if I told the truth.
Sofia had manipulated her way in, and we had been too distracted with her body to even think clearly and stop it.
"I don’t like it. I don’t want her there. But she’s coming and I want you to avoid her as much as possible." I said
Then turned my body so I was facing her fully. "Please, Heaven. Will you listen to me?"
Heaven stared at me. She didn’t respond. She probably felt like I was choosing Sofia like I always do. So I needed to clear the air
"I’m not choosing her," I said
I reached out and took her hand.
My wolf felt happy that I was finally acknowledging Heaven and my wolf was happy. The mate bond was glowing within.
Heaven looked down at her hand in mine surprised.
I lifted her hand slowly and kissed the back of her hand softly. I kept my eyes on hers the whole time.
"I’m telling you this because I care about you a lot, like, really, really care. And I wouldn’t want anything to happen to you." I whispered.
Heaven looked mesmerized. Her lips parted slightly amd I could tell that she didn’t understand what was going on.
She blinked and frowned. She looked down at her hands on mine and looked up at me. She immediately yanked her hand out.
She stood up quickly and was about to walk away.
I stood up too. I couldn’t let her leave yet. Not when I haven’t said the most important thing yet.
I reached out and grabbed her arm gently to stop her. "Wait! Heaven, please."
She stopped, but she didn’t turn to face me. She looked like she was in a hurry to leave.
"I love you, Heaven."
